PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Positronic processor: An optional personality matrix that can assist or predict the needs of the user while operating the comp, armor, or ship’s slaved systems.
  • Full Computer: Possesses more computing power and speed than most datapads.
  • Subspace Transceiver: Instant FTL communication to nearby systems.
  • Holotransceiver: Transmits and plays holographic communications or displays.
  • S-Thread: Primary transmission means of the comm making intercepting messages extremely difficult.
  • Encryption: High grade encoding for secure communication.
  • Ion-Scrambler: Prevents tracking the location of the user.
  • Pyrowall: Local file protection should the comm be compromised.
  • Ironmaze: Antiviral and slicing protection.
  • Socketguard: Guards against direct hacking.
  • Holotrace Device: Tracks intercepted transmissions to their source.
  • Signal Interceptor: Fully capable of intercepting and decoding most civilian and pirate transmissions, full military grade encryptions can give it problems.
  • Frequency Jammer: Disrupts communication in the area.
  • Low-Feedback Scanner: Passive lifeform, energy, radiation, and comm signal detection.
  • Emergency Beacon: Allows users to be found in case of injury or other emergency.
  • Translator: Real time translation for verbal and written language.
  • Gripton Mount: Securly mount the device to nearly anything.
STRENGTHS
  • Highly Resilient: Even emp and ion attacks will have difficulty knocking it out.
  • All in One: There are few things the Gauntlet Comp either can’t do or be made to do.
WEAKNESSES
  • Bulky: With more gear and sturdier construction, the exterior isn’t as sleek as civilian models.
DESCRIPTION
A beguilingly simple arm computer and compad combination, Mercenary Arms made the gauntlet comp incredibly customizable to appeal to a wide range of users and their unique needs. With the militaristic lean common among the company’s products, the casing is made from druetium and a screen of solarium glasteel allows the comp to take a direct blaster hit or even a shot of ion energy and suffer minimal ill effect or continue working through many adverse environmental conditions.

The gauntlet comp natively hosts a bevy of communication and sensor options while tying into paired systems as a potential remote interface. Armor and slaved ships were the intended use with options to plug directly into systems to prevent local jamming from preventing communications, but an individual could use it with their speeder, droid, another computer, or as a control for networked amenities at home, along with many other unintended uses.
