Private ZU and TOF | Meeting in the snow

Varloc stood a few hundred feet from his shuttle looking over the vast white. Behind him the great ice cliffs and ruins of a jedi structure built into the cliff.

Varloc had come here to speak to the new leader of The Order of the Force's allie, the Zweihander Union. Varloc wished to ensure good relations and to help protect jedi relics and buildings. Varloc only had been around Ben a few times, mainly during ZU meetings, but he believes him to be a good guy.

Varloc shook off the freezing cold, Ben seemed to be late, a bit unlike him.

The Union was growing and changing rapidly. With the recent takeover of the Zweihander Union, Ben had been working on plans to change the Union's focus on rapid military expansion and instead focus on restructuring the internal intricacies of the state and the nation's diplomacy with other organizations, corporations and nations.

The ST-150 descended below Ilum's atmosphere like a hawk searching for prey. He looked out the viewport at the dusty landscape. He hadn't been to Ilum in a long time. Not since the Union's acquisition of the planet. Now control of Ilum was shared between the Zweihander Union and the Galactic Alliance. As the shuttle flew to its destination, Ben could make out small figurines in the snow, Jedi padawans learning their mysterious ways and collecting what was left of the Kyber Crystals. With a breakthrough in science, the Zweihander Union's scientists and engineers, under the direction of the Chairman, were able to engineer a unique artificial Kyber Crystal. It was Ben's plan to give back to the Alliance. Perhaps one day Ilum would be repopulated with crystals once more.

Within minutes, the shuttle arrived, a bit later than expected, but they arrived nonetheless. The ramp lowered and Ben stepped out, "Emperor Varloc, apologies for my lateness." He said as he surveyed the surroundings. A ruined Jedi temple, one of many. Now it served as a memory of the past. The Chairman's cape billowed in the wind.

Varloc waved off Ben's apology noting of the former directors responsibilities, It is fine, I am only thankful for this meeting. Varloc then turned to tthe ruins, I have a proposition for you. I wish that the Order of the Force could come here and to the other temples and help preserve them. Maybe these once great temple's could have purpose. Varloc turned to Ben and looked at him. The wind kicked up some snow and swept past the two. He knew that the ZU had interest in kyber technology and Varloc himself had gathered a team to work on such things.

Ben nodded, "Yes, that is acceptable, although you will have to work that out with the Galactic Alliance as we share control of the planet with them. I'm sure they would be more than happy to share the temples with your members however."

Varloc nodded, How is your work with Kyber technology? Good I hope, you have some of the greatest engineers working for the ZU. Varloc had ordered the work with such tech to be done with his own engineering corp. But work had been slow for Varloc could not find good engineers.

Ben smiled, "It is good, we're seeing improvements in our tests. Thank you, if you would like, I can send some samples to your engineers so you can research and create your own crystals? My plan is to first reintroduce the artificial crystals to Ilum and then plant them in other planets as well."

"Sounds good, I'll have my people send some samples over to you. Same to you." He smiled, "There's always time for an ally." With that said the meeting was concluded. Ben would walk back up to the shuttle and depart for Schesa.
