STANDARD FEATURES
  • All Standard Features
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Emergency Escape Cockpit: If the Deathray suffers critical damage, the cockpit can eject in order to save the pilot. The eject system also releases a burst of countermeasure flares to ensure the ejection process is not interrupted.
  • Advanced Signal Jammer: To prevent enemies from calling in reinforcements, the Deathray is also equipped with an advanced signal jammer. With Glar being a wanted fugitive, this feature is very useful.
  • AI Assistant: The Deathray is equipped with an AI assistant capable of autopiloting the ship, calculating hyperspace jumps, and handling incoming data transmissions. This assistant is nowhere near as good as an organic pilot, but can manage itself well enough when Glar is preoccupied with other matters.
STRENGTHS
  • Dogfighter: The Deathray is designed to kill enemy starfighters by simultaneously outflying and outgunning them.
  • Hard To Kill: The Deathray is a very difficult ship to take down, thanks to its insane flying ability, many defensive systems and emergency escape cockpit.
  • Versatile: The Deathray’s many weapon systems mean that it can fill a wide variety of combat roles.
  • Livable: The Deathray contains enough internal space for Glar to comfortably live in during journeys between planets.
WEAKNESSES
  • Large Target: Compared to similar ships, the Deathray is rather large, meaning that it must rely on its speed and maneuverability to avoid enemy fire. It also has trouble flying through incredibly tight spaces.
  • Recognizable: The Deathray is a very distinctive-looking ship. For a wanted fugitive like Glar, this is not ideal.
  • Fuel-Guzzling: The Deathray is not very fuel efficient, and needs refills frequently to stay operational.
DESCRIPTION
Glar Ulchtar purchased the ZR-950 “Deathray” Personal Attack Cruiser after collecting a significant bounty with the help of Tryk Zhot Tryk Zhot . The Deathray was made by the company DuroTech as a custom design for another client, but was sold to Glar instead after the deal fell through. The ship happened to suit his purposes quite well, and he managed to “convince” the DuroTech salesman to sell it for the fairly low price of 75,000 credits.

The Deathray contains six interior rooms of varying sizes and functions, with enough combined space for Glar to live comfortably while on board. The client who originally commissioned the ship was not nearly as tall as Glar though, so the ceilings are a bit lower than he would like.
