"For every drop of blood you spill, a million sentients will rise in rebellion."
"Then I will spill a million buckets of blood."

A stalwart Imperial loyalist, Zmej Ren proudly carries Sieger Ren’s crimson banner, acting as an enforcer of his will and passionately embracing her duty as the Supreme Leader’s hand. Iron willed and determined, the Ren does not hesitate when it comes to accomplishing her tasks - more often than not, she paints herself ruthless and rigorous, a firm believer no sacrifice is too great and no cost too high to pay for success. Although quick to crush anyone who threatens her ambitions, she rewards devotion and personal loyalty, showing generosity to those useful to the First Order. Zmej’s purpose driven nature dictates she never ceases the relentless pursuit of order, one not above sowing chaos and terror if doing so benefits the Empire. Like many sharing the ideology, she sees an opportunity to unite all humanity and their cultures under a single flag, and has zero issue working alongside non-human species provided they know their place.

Under most circumstances, she wears a calm mask to hide her inner wrath, but angry outbursts are not unheard of. The Ren brutally extinguishes all signs of opposition to the Imperial law, displaying signs of cruelty. Even though her strict upbringing and young age share some blame for the Ren’s burning zeal that mercilessly sears the First Order’s enemies, the true reason behind the soldierly demeanour is her father’s lurking shadow. Whether she acknowledges this fact or not, Zmej is deeply affected by the uneasy relationship and desperately wishes to fill the old man’s shoes, thus hunts after personal glory while advancing the cause of unity. A diehard conservative with perfectionist streak, she exercises daily and takes meticulous care of her appearance, expecting subordinates to do the same. Always striving to please authority figures and placing success above all else, Asenath is intolerant to failure, using fear to extract respect and absolute obedience.

Her deep devotion to the dark side is clearly a result of Sieger Ren’s influence on the young woman’s mind, holding the belief the knights of Ren represent the purest organisation of Force users in the galaxy, a chance to succeed where all others failed. Smart enough to distrust Sith, the young woman still finds herself drawn to their unfathomable power – and questions if they could be chained, controlled and made to serve the Supreme Leader. Unless they bend a knee to Sieger Ren, she won’t hesitate to have them wiped out alongside the Jedi.

  • Agile – Nimble and quick on her feet, the young human fully utilizes her flexibility and natural dexterity. Especially useful against slower combatants in heavy armour, the combination of agility and the Force allow her to execute seemingly impossible acrobatic moves.
  • Tenacious – Zmej’s ambitions command her to seek fame and glory. She will burn down the whole galaxy to make a name for herself or die trying, driven by the inmost determination to succeed. Those who stand against the Supreme Leader or sully his name shall receive no mercy - what she lacks in experience she makes up for in ruthlessness and brutality.
  • Quick Learner – Possessing a photographic memory and eager to learn from her betters, the young woman is not one to pass an opportunity of sharpening herself into a better instrument to serve Sieger Ren’s interests. In constant pursuit of excellence, nothing can stop her from achieving mastery over the Force.
  • Force Affinity – The Ren is strongly connected with the dark side, constantly feeling its peerless power. The corrupt energies of the Force flow through her veins like blood, fed by Asenath’s repressed anger and hatred for anyone who would deny her the chance at pursuing the career as the Supreme Leader’s elite agent.

  • Junkie – After abusing painkillers to help her deal with chronic pain in her badly injured ahoulder, Zmej has developed an addiction to symoxin. The Ren suffers from restlessness and insomnia among other symptoms.
  • Short Tempered – As many young people, she is easily impressionable and very passionate about the cause she believes in. This trait results in impulsiveness and making rash decisions instead of opting for a calmer, thought-out approach.
  • Fanatical – Fully indoctrinated at the academy, Zmej Ren unconditionally accepts the First Order’s ideology as her own and spreads it with religious zeal. Advancing the First Order’s interests, strengthening the dark side’s presence in the galaxy and, most importantly, heeding the orders of the idolized Sieger Ren, she lives the life of both servant and master.
  • Crippled - Zmej's left arm is partially paralysed and she cannot count on it in combat. Unable to raise the arm above her head, she faces everyday difficulties that come with getting dressed and other seemingly mundane tasks. This fuels her frustration and fear she will be replaced.
  • Father Complex – Haunted by her father’s unfulfilled wish for an heir to his legacy, Asenath strives to meet his expectations through suicidal heroism and blind obedience to strong authority figures. Although her father is dead, there is another man in her life she can still prove her worth to - none other than the Supreme Leader himself.

"The old ways are dying. We have to adapt. I have adapted."

In order to increase their agent’s versatility and bolster her chance of success, the instructors at the academy taught their young charge how to operate a great deal of weaponry. From slugthrowers to vibro swords, Zmej is capable of handling many different kinds of weapons, albeit a master of none. The martial art of Teräs Käsi comes to mind when describing the Ren's chosen discipline; aside from providing her with another mean of defending herself, it teaches how to close one's mind to outside influences and utilize extreme speed and aptitude for anticipating strikes.

A faithful follower of dark arts, possessing both skill and experience to strengthen her hold over the Force, Zmej Ren knows how to draw power from anger and aggression and desires to fully tap into the dark side’s limitless reservoirs and achieve a deeper understanding of the Force for the sake of power. The young woman steers her studies primarily towards telekinesis, enriching its traditional applications by adding destructive, crushing techniques empowered by anger. She knows how to reach out through the Force to sense another or touch their inner self via telepathy, which originates from the practice of an intense will. Force stealth, on the other hand, allows Zmej to slip past Force sensitives unnoticed, hiding her presence and signature. Art of Movement futher emphasizes on the girl's natural flexibility while Tutaminis and Force warshield add a few percentages to survivability by letting her absorb harmful energy hurled her way or cocoon herself in a protective shroud of Force energy.

Her natural dexterity and flexibility is further accentuated when it comes to lightsaber combat - an avid practitioner of Makashi, Zmej turned a graceful duelist able to employ efficiency and brutality alike.

"Only through the projection of power do we bring order."

There is nothing to brand the Ren different from other humans her age. Petite and distinctly feminine, Asenath’s athletic frame is shaped by years of hardship meant to turn her into a living weapon in peak physical shape to spread and enforce the Supreme Leader’s message. She wears her blonde hair in a bun and is very good looking aside from the eyes painted in bright yellow that mark as an active practitioner of dark powers. In combination with the sickly sulphur glare, her smile can be particularly mysterious, yet saying more than any amount of words. The Ren’s pale skinned body strides with determined confidence, sometimes shaking uncontrollably when unable to tame the anger boiling within.

Her apparel is always pristine, hinting at the woman’s obsession of doing things the proper way. More often than not clad in black head to toe, the Ren sports clothing that demands respect and inspires fear of authority. When not surrounded by fellow Ren, she often wears a mask to keep her identity secret, benefiting from its intimidation value. Whether dressed in a fitting uniform or layered robes that hide plates of armour, her attire is permanently accompanied by gloves on her hands and polished black boots that reach the knees. A utility belt wrapped around the woman's waist holds one emergency medpac. Most importantly, it carries her lightsaber; an inseparable companion to the young knight.

Created by Zmej Ren to serve as her trusty personal weapon, the lightsaber sports a traditional crossguard look dating back thousands of years to the Great Scourge of Malachor. The weapon’s red blades crackle with fiery energy at unpredictable intervals, sometimes causing sparks to fly or streaks of electrical energy to run along the length. As with most lightsabers based on the ancient design, it emits three blades in total; one primary blade, and two shorter beams through low output blade emitters.

Kayn Parnell cried when his wife passed away giving birth to their daughter. He shed tears not for his wife’s death, but receiving a daughter instead of a son he prayed for. A military oriented patriarch stuck in his conservative ways, Pyrnell never accepted the fact his heir would not be the manly ideal of a warrior – and perhaps because he’d never get to see a carbon copy of himself rise through the First Order’s ranks, scoring one victory after another in wars and rebellions. Where he desired a decorated war veteran, he got a descendant destined to be a submissive wife and a loving mother – worse still, the girl had failed at her societal role before even trying at it, as her sensitivity to the Force branded her a candidate for the knights of Ren.

Parnell never understood the Force and did not want to comprehend it either – a cheap trick in his eyes, something used by the weak, serving as substitute for the desired qualities of a soldier. This led to the father having a very distant relationship with his daughter, definitely worsened by the separation that followed during Asenath’s childhood. Sent to the academy for training, the young Ren found herself well-adjusted to the firm regime among the Ren, while her father became little more than a name attached to many letters detailing his military achievements, victories that hid his true nature; a disappointed, broken, self-loathing man who desperately wanted to die, but lacked the courage to do it himself, seeking his glorious end on the battlefield instead.

Without ever directly stating so, the letters were filled with disappointment in her, his own war stories a display of what he wanted his heir to be.

It only made Asenath strive harder for seeing pride in her father's eyes. The academy became the girl’s life, her everything - most importantly, a chance to prove her worth. A punctiliously sterile, carefully linked journey with little to no interruptions from the outside, the process of turning young Force users into deadly weapons was a reality filled with rigid discipline and no acceptance of failure. Every day, Asenath longed to see her father, desperate for a bit of love and care, blaming herself for not being good enough to see the man who had given her the famous family name. Angry, she learned how to turn her frustrations into fuel to drive her forward, becoming stronger and more agile with each passing year. When her father's messages got shorter and finally ceased arriving completely, it seemed Asenath was not destined to see the man’s face again. Until her eleventh birthday, a day like any other at first. Out of nowhere, her father stood right in front of her, uniform crisp and adorned by decorations, an unknown person in every aspect aside from his name and face. Without a single word or display of a little loving gesture, he took off one of the medals and handed it to the girl, spun on his heel and marched off.

Only later she came to realize this was his way of saying goodbye.

Parnell’s moment of glory came during an ambush on Hoth, where he commanded a team of stormtroopers searching the frozen wasteland for insurgents. When the first blaster bolts announced the enemy presence, he did not hesitate. Ready to end his life like any proper warrior should, he walked straight into enemy fire, earning himself one final medal to mock his daughter with from beyond the grave. This memento of heroism represents everything he desired his heir to be, everything Asenath aspires to become.

With an all-out war brewing between the First Order and the Galactic Alliance, Asenath, now sporting her new identity of Zmej Ren, entered the fray. Fresh from the academy, the Supreme Leader's new henchman was unleashed, still holding onto that one medal.

Her first steps brought her to Kaeshena, a devastated wasteland where Zmej finally had a chance to test her skills against the Jedi. Battling the servants of the light side and leaving them defeated, the Ren had crawled out of her first taste of combat heavily injured, but victorious. Following the blonde agent's swift recovery and official declaration of war, Zmej crusaded against the Galactic Alliance in numerous campaigns and missions. Whether helping the First Order expand its living space and brutally suppressing any signs of resistance, all fell to her lightsaber. After passing the trials by recovering a powerful artifact of Darth Sidious, Zmej Ren rose to the rank of knight, a champion of Sieger's cause.

This lasted only until the climax of the battle of Mustafar, where they young knight suffered a painful defeat and a crippling injury of her left shoulder, which left her arm partially paralyzed. To kill the chronic pain and cope with the fact she would never be one hundred percent again, she started abusing symoxin and tabac. Even though the wound eventually healed, Zmej carries more than a physical scar now. Learning of numerious betrayals gave her incentive to work harder, resulting in many sleepless nights that saw her either work or train without getting any rest. It is high time she re-joined her brothers and sisters.
