Public [Zinder Event] Ilum's Grand Life Day Extravaganza!!! [Zinder Event]

Ilum.

It was considered a religiously important location to the Jedi with the large quantity of Kyber crystals and the construction of Lightsabers. The cold world was not the place many would think of hosting an event or even a planet that would entertain such potential events like Zinder would host.

However, Zinder was able to apply pressure to certain political figures and a healthy exchange of credits afterwards, the seemingly impossible was made very possible. Not only was the event going ahead on Ilum of all worlds, Zinder was not going to hold back on the advertising for the event either. Highlighting how amazing and unique the opportunity was for Zinder to be based on Ilum of all worlds.

In a glittering crystal cave, there was a frozen lake. With crystals glittering about the icy lake, the beauty of the location inspired Zinder to create an ice rink for skating. Believing that such a location deserved to be the highlight of the event. The ice rink was tested repeatedly to ensure safety of all attendees and there were many reassurances it is completely safe. The crystals glittering were not confirmed to be Kyber crystals either. However, with the light at the right angle, the rink glitters and sparkles in the most beautiful way.

The event was made, a forest area was cornered off and festive lights were decorated around the forest. Adding apparently a very seasonal plant called Mistletoe that was considered to hold some folklore mysticism of having to share a kiss under them with a partner. However, a clause was added in traditional Zinder fashion that couples were able to spar and fight one another if they wished to find chemistry through the exchanging of fists.

To help boost the local economy, Zinder offered a chance for local merchants of Ilum and surrounding planets to set stalls and sell Life Day themed gifts and romantic based items for the couples who wished to celebrate and forever remember their date. The stalls were set at the outskirts of the forest as well as at the entrance of the cave, just to ensure all those attending could gain the chance to shop if they desired to.

So come one and all! Find true love, bring your partners and explore Zinder’s Grand Ilum Life Day Extravaganza!!! The opportunity of a lifetime awaits you all and please, continue to be a paying subscriber and most generous donator to Zinder so that we can continue to host these amazing events for you all!

When no one else is with you, Zinder will always be by your side!

Objective 1 - Are you my mistletoe or mistle-foe!

Explore the snowy forests of Ilum and discover either mistletoe hanging around for a delightful, intimate and romantic moment with your Zinder match, or if you would prefer, declare them a mistle-foe and spar with them in the forest. See if they can help fan the flames of romance that can keep you warm this chilly winter season!

SNgE9nf.png

Objective 2 - He was a Skater Boi and I was a Skater Gurl!

If romance in the woods does not take your fancy, there is an ice lake in a glittering crystal cave on Ilum. Bring your match and skate on the frozen lake, dance, skid and admire the glittering crystals. Skates will be provided for you and do not worry, the ice is far too thick to crack under you as you skate. We have tested it with several testers beforehand.

rWOKhS7.png

Objective 3 - Let's go to the stalls!

Just outside of the forest area, there has been a litany of festival stalls installed. There are plenty of Life Day presents, drinks and food to consume, enjoy and share with that special someone this holiday season! All prices are set by the merchants, so please don't blame Zinder if they seem high! Also please don't get too drunk during the event or we will have to escort you away!

All attendees are gifted a pair of Romance Enhancing Contact Lenses as a thank you for attending this great event! Have fun with them! They could be the key to your romantic success!

Lily had never really found success in the Zinder app, sure plenty of people showed matching her and she seemed to get a lot of interest from people on the app sending her messages. But few of them actually felt like people she would realistically wish to meet up in person. In fact some of them were just very gross either in their personality or the images they would attempt to share. So Lily preferred to usually stick with more traditional methods of interacting and dating people, getting to know them in person and developing a bond, usually made for lasting friendships, with the potential for more if so desired.

There was one thing that she couldn't deny Zinder did well though, and that was events. Their events usually were a lot of fun and a chance to meet all kinds of people that normally would not be around for her to meet. However, Lily was contemplating a few things when she had been looking at the app for the past few months. Things had changed in her life and Lily was wondering what her next steps in life should be. Before any actions were taken, she spotted the upcoming event that was being listed and decided to put those thoughts off for now. Just on the off chance that Shan would want to come with her to the event. It sounded like a lot of fun and the chance to ice skate was not something that Lily thought would come around often.

Luckily Shan agreed to attend with her.

Nerves were bubbling in her stomach as she thought about the fact that she would be attending the event and hoped that her dress would be something that Shan enjoyed. Though Lily felt sure that anything she would have put on Shan would give a compliment to. Standing by the cave entrance, Lily looked over to the stalls that were selling items and made a mental note to check out the presents that were being sold. Any of them could be perfect for Colette, Corazona, Ko or any of her other friends. Something handmade by artists that made Lily think of them, that was the idea that came to her mind on what these stalls were going to have.

Domina Prime had faced warlords, warbeasts, warpriests, storms of plasma fire, and the occasional mildly inconvenient bureaucrat, but nothing, nothing, had prepared her for the existential battlefield known as a Zinder Life Day mixer on Ilum. The frigid air hit her first. So sharp and pure it almost offended her lungs. Then the lights. Then the crystals. Then the sheer amount of smiling couples, glowing merchandise booths, and curated romantic ambiance that felt like an enemy ambush crafted by Hallmark.

She paused at the entrance of the sorie, clutching her datapad like it was a detonator.

"...This is fine," she muttered to herself, swallowing the urge to bare her teeth at the cheerful banner overhead reading BRINGING LOVE TO ILUM!!!

Her breath came out in a shimmer of frost as she trudged forward, her boots clacking on glittering stone. She was dressed, painfully, self-consciously, in a soft, winter-white dress that matched her snowy hair. No armor. No pelts. No jagged metal plates forged from the bones of monsters she'd slain with her bare hands.

Just...a dress.

A cute dress.

She straightened her spine. She was a conqueror. A warlord. A divine executioner of Mandalore. Surely she could handle an app.

Dima held up her datapad.

Zinder's interface chirped at her cheerfully. Welcome, Domina! Ready to mingle?

She glowered at it.

Her thumb hovered, then swiped left on a profile.

Someone named Braxon the Moist.

Left again.

Someone posing shirtless with a blurrg.

Left.

Someone whose opening line was "You up for polycule dynamics?" accompanied by a picture of him eating sand.

Left.

Her scowl deepened.

"Ewwwwwwww-kay," she muttered, pacing toward the ice rink.

The rink itself glittered like a holy altar, light refracting through embedded crystals until the whole frozen lake shimmered like a bowl of crushed diamonds. Couples held hands as they glided unsteadily across the smooth surface, laughing as they skated. A few stumbled; some kissed under garlands of mistletoe; one pair was already sparring aggressively near the rink's edge, as Zinder proudly allowed.

Domina approached the rink's reflective edge, peering down into her own shimmering reflection.

Her many sharp cheek-teeth chittered nervously as she smoothed the hem of her dress, patting it flat, then sweeping her thick, snow-white braid over her shoulder. She practiced a smile, then grimaced at her own attempt. "I look like a monster trying to audition for a perfume commercial," she whispered.

Two attendants skating past waved nervously.

She waved back, stiff as a statue.

Swipe right? her datapad chirped helpfully.

Dima glared at it. "I'M THINKING ABOUT IT."

She resumed browsing, stalking through the venue like a prowling snow-cat. Every so often she bumped shoulders with someone, offering a flustered, "Oh! Sorry, hi! Happy...holiday! Please don't run," as they scrambled out of her path. Deep down, the hopeful part of her, the soft and embarrassingly sentimental organ she rarely acknowledged wondered what the night held. Something magical? Something disastrous? A kiss under mistletoe? A duel with a stranger that ended in laughter and bruises and maybe something more?

She exhaled a slow, frosted sigh.

"Alright, Zinder," she murmured, lifting the datapad like a tiny talisman of fate. "Show me something...someone good."

She swiped.

She winced.

She swiped again.

A smile threatened at the corner of her mouth.

Her ears fluttered with shy, electric nervousness as she stepped deeper into the festival lights, cheeks glowing softly in Ilum's crystalline glow.

Domina Prime, Grand Warpriest, destroyer of tyrants, scourge of systems, had come to Ilum not to conquer a world.

...but perhaps, finally, to conquer loneliness.

Why was Jak here? It was a question he was only just now asking himself in all honesty. He was a man of luck- a man who made his own luck. The concept of romance? Just another variable in the grand game of luck, or so he believed.

It was this reason, then, he wasn't sure he was a man capable of romance. How could he be? Romance may have been just another variable to him, but to others it wasn't usually seen as such a black and white thing. To most others love, romance, and passion were not byproducts of chance or luck. To most it was destiny or fate, some even did say it was the Will of the Force.

All things Jak didnt believe in.

And yet he wandered about the frozen forest as his eyes examined the various stalls and vendors that were present for the event. Why was he here?

He came to the conclusion as he examined the event: maybe romance and love was luck based, so why not trying to get lucky?

Zinder. Shan was not ashamed to say that he had been on a fair few dates through the app. None of them had ever went anywhere. Most of his relationships had never went anywhere. The only proper one he had experienced was with Colette. Even then, he felt like it hadn't been right. He had went into it expecting something far different to what he had actually gotten. But that was neither here nor there. It wasn't exactly what he should be focusing on right now. Instead he should be focused on the concept of ice-skating. By the Force, he had faced down blasters and lightsabers, but the Mirialan was terrified at the concept of skating on some ice.

At the very least, the cold was something he could handle. Came with a childhood spent working on the streets of Nar Shaddaa at night. He brushed down his suit with his spare hand, whilst the other one carried a small bouquet of Kelari lillies. Was it perhaps a bit cheesy? Yes. But Shan had always been a bit of a cheesy person when it came to showing his affection for people. It was nice to be on Ilum once again as well as he made his way over towards the cave, breaking out into a bright grin at the sight of his date. Huh. The word felt strange to even think about but he shook his head and headed on over, holding the bouquet out.

"I hope these are alright. I thought they...suited us both the best. Since they can be used for battlefield injuries. And well...you're the fighter and I'm a healer and...I should really shut up, shouldn't I?"

A small chuckle came from Shan at that, shaking his head afterwards. It wasn't as if he was actually nervous about his rambling. It was something he knew he did when he had a lot on his mind. It was better than him just standing there awkwardly without saying anything. His eyes flicked over towards Lily's dress, giving another small smile.

"And of course, you're looking great as always. No surprise there."

Sure, it looked like it could get pretty cold, but Eshan was cold itself. So Shan just chalked it up to Echani dealing well with the cold whatsoever. Either way, the Mirialan held his arm out for Lily to take, his face stuck in a constant grin near enough.

Arris swiped right on every profile, without really looking, then snapped the device and tossed it into the snow. She looked down at her feet, which had recently been equipped with a pair of retractable blades at the bottom - for ice skating, of course.

"This is... stupid," she thought.

The cyborg looked around as wistful singles and happy couples entered the cave. And how was she dressed? Oh, the usual... Allyson Locke's Infamous Leather Jacket With All New Patches, Cuts, Holes, and Frayed Fibres over a cropped muscle shirt, and some dark spacer slacks. Her cybernetic feet looked like a pair of sleek combat boots at a glance, which some would agree completed the look... even if it was a little unusual in the cold.

With a grumble and a sigh, she shoved her metal fists into her jacket pockets and marched through the snow. When she reached the cave's entrance, Arris looked thoughtfully over her shoulder at the forest.

"Well here goes nothing," she muttered, then joined the others inside.

SECOND DATE: Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania

Ilum had long been in the Dark Lord's gaze.

But rather than pillage, Nefaron sought to settle an old score.

Or rather, rekindle an old flame.

It had taken time, of course, to find a way to reach the famed Dowager Princess of Ukatis via channels known to the Corpse Lord. Many things could have been said, many threats and vows of death exchanged, but instead, Nefaron had offered a simple note, sealed in the bloody symbol of his covenant.

ILLUM.

I AWAIT YOU, KINSLAYER.

SEEK YOUR REVENGE.

Nefaron had long toyed with Corazona von Ascania for the simple reason that she opposed everything he sought to bring forth upon the galaxy. Where he spread fear, she brought hope. Where he offered death, her healing hands were not far behind. Even the confrontation with her father had not been enough to break her spirit, and it infuriated the Dark Lord to no end. For all his dreams of terror and darkness, she remained a persistent ember of light.

He would snuff it out.

But he did not offer death. He would see her embrace shadow, to become a true Dark Lord as others had tried to make her before.

But there would be no training. The Dark Side cannot be forced; it must be found.

He would guide her.

So Nefaron waited. Within the tall trees of Ilum's expansive wilderness, cloaked in bitter cold and drifting snow. A fire had been made, one which the Corpse Lord stood before and gazed into, dead eyes glimpsing many possible futures. The tide of Darkness could not be halted, but who would guide it to the very heart of the galaxy?

The Kinslayer? Reborn herald of Darkness?

Perhaps. But it would be Darth Nefaron who would command her will.

She could not resist forever.

Dates. Reina was no expert on them. She had only really been on one proper date. It had been one of the greatest nights of her life. And whilst she doubted today would be anywhere close to it, the Ersansyr at least hoped it would be an enjoyable night. She hadn't exactly made plans to meet up with any of the people she had matched with...but there was a part of her that hoped that one of them would also just show up without a partner. Perhaps it was wishful thinking on her part, but even if that was so, she was at least able to enjoy the meat skewer she had "bought".

And by bought, the one she had used some sweet words to get at a very, very impressive discount. Reina wasn't entirely opposed to using her voice to get things as much as she had been in the past. It was a tool of hers, and so she'd use it. In a way it was amusing to think of how she was here. Not only was she basically an actual fish out of water, but she was a fish on frozen ground. There wouldn't be any diving for her today at the very least, which was fine by her. Rarely did she ever care about her fashion, but there was a part of her that felt as if the scarf went very well with the little woolen pom-poms attached to her jumper, using the skewer stick to knock them back and forth with a smirk on her face.

"...By the Spirits, I am far too easily entertained."

Her laughter sang through the woods for a moment, as a rare smile flickered on her face. The redhead shook her head as she leaned against her tree, giving a quick glance above to make sure there wasn't any of that misteltoe nonsense about her. She wasn't here to be kissed. It was to make new bonds. Connections. All of that sappy nonsense that was meant to be good for her emotional health. Be it through a friendship or something more, though there was a part of her that sorely believed that there wouldn't be something more tonight. Her affection was already given to another, affection that was more than likely not known nor reciprocated...but for tonight? That was fine by her.

Flicking through her Zinder app, there had been matches or people that she enjoyed the look of or the profile of. However, nothing concrete had come from the idle swiping of left and right. In fact, Eira was wondering if there was something in her profile that was not catching the eye of others enough. But she decided to stop pondering on the issue any longer, it was not something she was finding healthy or enjoyable and Eira knew that she would rather focus on the possibility of a chance encounter as she roamed the forest. Perhaps find someone at the stalls if she felt compelled enough to inspect what was going on there for items for the select members.

Eira wore a black dress that had a winter style of fashion to it. Something that didn't truly help with the cold breeze but it was nothing that Eira found herself concerned about since looking amazing was far more important than being warm. Wandering the forest, her eyes scanned around to see who else might be attending the event and coming here. She knew there was an ice rink but that felt like something you would attend with a partner already in mind, the stalls felt more of something to do at the end of the event, though that did leave the risk of all the good presents gong by then. However, she was not sure she felt any desire to get anything currently.

The idea that one was meant to kiss under a plant seemed humorous and utterly ridiculous in nature since there was no convincing understanding for how such myths could have started. Besides someone being pent up and desperate to kiss another person while out in the woods. So, Eira felt more convinced that she would probably end up throwing fists with another person over just randomly kissing under the plants.

Braze was happily standing near the entrance to the stalls, waiting for Toby. Hot chocolate was sounding very good right about now, and he was excited to see if his date might enjoy the rich, sweet drink too, especially one of the fruity cream flavors he had spotted. He was bundled in a fleece lined cloak patterned with pale white roses, a soft puffy hat perched on his head, and fingerless gloves warming his hands. Between his palms he toyed with a small, neatly wrapped object, a simple little surprise he kept turning over as he watched the crowd, carefully scanning every new arrival for the familiar shape of Toby's silhouette, checking his com link and checking visages as they passed looking for the one that matched.

WHAT PART OF DATING MEANS EXTRA CREDIT?!
Hey, hey. Calm down. Your thoughts are getting all...dark sidey and aggressive. Don't shoot the messenger...Wait would that mean shooting yourself?

Neriah's thoughts fought amongst each other as she stood, alone, out in the freezing cold. Her frustration and anger being the only thing keeping her warm in the moment, as she had her arms wrapped around herself, carefully rubbing her arms to keep herself even more warm. Whoever had left that message at her dorm telling her about this event was going to get taught a lesson sooner or later. Who even cared about Zinder? It was just some stupid...app. Wait a damned minute.

The Acolyte could have sworn that she recalled seeing the logo for this damned event somewhere...Was it when she laughed at Kirie Kirie 's fall? No. No. She hadn't gotten a good enough look at the other Acolyte's datapad...So where was it from? She rummaged into her cloak, pulling out her datapad where she saw the app installed, answering her question rather swiftly.

Okay. Someone is really going to die now.
Relax. Breathe.
The air is so cold it hurts to breathe!
...What do you want me to say then? Don't breathe?

She ignored the voice in her head like usual...Though the fact it was her own voice she was ignoring was perhaps not a good sign for her. Instead Neriah tapped on the app, seeing her own profile on the thing. Where did they even get the damned photo from?! As a frustrated exhale of air came from her mouth, visible as the frost rose upwards into the air, she scrolled through the profile, as her frustration only seemed to grow.

Who even wrote this damned thing? Traumatised twice? Handle with Care?! HIGH SENSITIVITY?!
I mean...At least they weren't wrong about the low combat readiness. And I mean you do love tea! And textbooks.

Olyssandra had heard that Zinder was a scam. Most everything she had read about Zinder had warned her to avoid it. The platform was plagued by constant issues, a cheap, tacky user interface, trashy advertisements, and a ruthless algorithm designed to trigger the most primal parts of the brain. To make matters worse, the app supported piracy, was apparently full of bots and catfishes, and worst yet, was owned by a Mandalorian prince.

Ick!

Nevertheless, against her own better judgment, Olyssandra found herself downloading the app before she could consciously override her instincts. After all, the promise of love, companionship, and bonding was a siren’s call that she was inherently powerless to resist. The compulsion that she had towards connection had been a fact of her entire life. And since she was not allowed to have a pet in the Sanctum, she was forced to seek out bonding elsewhere. It was why she spent so much of her time sparring in the Blooded Cloister, for she had conditioned her attachment-craving nature to derive a partial, fleeting satisfaction from the physical closeness of combat.

Even if it usually ended with her on the floor.

Still, Olyssandra had expected to be disappointed. Thus, it came as quite the surprise that she had found what appeared to be legitimate matches. And of course, not just any match, but matches with other Quendesh.

Olyssandra had not included her species on her profile. There were several other elfin species in the galaxy, including the likes of Elzeri, Sephi, Eldorai, Aetharians, and yet more. She had thought to leverage that fact to aid in concealing her exact identity, or to at least place more hurdles in front of malignant actors who might be motivated to find out who she really was.

Thus, after being relieved from her duties, Olyssandra had arrived at Ilum, dressed in a form-fitting, weather-appropriate jumpsuit. Just in case, she had two of her vibroblades on her person, their blades retracted into the hilts for easy concealment. Fortunately, upon seeing that the event was legitimate and didn’t show any immediate signs of being a trap, the assassin allowed herself to momentarily relax as she picked out a pair of ice skates before moving to the changing area and taking off her boots.

Heart fluttering in her chest, Olyssandra sat down on one of the benches and pulled out her device to text her date.

[Olyssandra]: In the changing area near the ice skating cave. Wanna meet up here before hitting the rink?

Fingers shaking with equal parts excitement and barely restrained desperation, Olyssandra took a deep breath and hit send!

❄️ Nitya's Entrance – Ilum Life Day Extravaganza (Objective 2)

The cold did not trouble Nitya the way it troubled most travelers; she had grown used to the quiet isolation of Oralis Prime, to thin mountain air and deep silence. But even she paused at the threshold of the crystalline cavern, breath curling softly in the frigid Ilum air as she took in the spectacle before her.

Lights—far too many lights—strung from stone pillars, wrapped around crystal outcrops, draped in cascades of glittering frost. Music drifted faintly from deeper within the cave, echoing off faceted walls and the enormous frozen lake at its heart. The ice reflected the lights in shattered rainbows, shifting and dancing with every movement of the crowd.

She had expected an event.
She had not expected this.

Drawing her cloak a bit tighter, she stepped forward, her calm presence almost swallowed by the brightness and laughter. Couples moved between mistletoe arches, vendors shouted cheerful sales pitches, and holographic snowflakes spiraled downward in soft luminescent spirals.

Zinder's influence was unmistakable.

And yet, beneath the spectacle, something gentle lingered. People were smiling, hesitating shyly at the edges of the rink, helping each other lace skates, or simply admiring the glow of the crystals around them.

A quiet warmth, hidden inside the noise.

Nitya moved toward the ice, boots crunching lightly over packed snow. The lake was beautiful in a way that resonated deeply with her — still, endlessly reflective, illuminated by natural crystal light rather than artifice. Among all of Zinder's chaotic creativity, this was the place that felt closest to the world she came from.
Closer to the kind of connection she understood.

She paused at the edge of the rink, watching skaters glide across the shimmering surface — some graceful, some wobbling, some laughing as they clung to their partners for balance. The ice caught the glow of her own Zorren eyes and cast it back in soft golden tones.

Yes.
This was where she belonged tonight.

Whether she came to skate, to observe, or to be present… this was the place she would begin.

She slipped one hand into her pocket, touching the small case that held the "Romance Enhancing Contact Lenses" she'd been given upon arrival. She exhaled a quiet breath that might have been amusement.

Life took her to strange places, it seemed.

With a final look over the glittering expanse, Nitya stepped forward toward the skate rentals and the shimmering crystalline lake —

Zinder-Divider-1.png
Kirie lingered by a row of outdoor heaters which lined the beginning of the path into the forest, enjoying the play of the warm air rolling off the devices and beating back the snowy chill. Her eyes flicked between the new couples, most struggling into thick coats and mittens for their walk. She must have seemed mad to them, sitting on a fallen log in her dress with its short sleeves and open back. But, in truth, the cold here didn't much bother her. The average day during the cold months on Cephis was an order of magnitude more frigid than Ilum.

She would not blame anyone for thinking she was freezing, though, since her shoulders were shaking slightly and her legs were bouncing down with nervous anticipation.

She had signed up for this Zinder event out of boredom and a need for a distraction, and out of a fondness for the previous year's rather memorable 'Lady Velvet' event. But now, the reality had sunk in that she was to be going on a date with no other than Jorryn Fordyce Jorryn Fordyce , the sworn handmaiden to her former paramour.

How... Messy.

She wished she had been brave enough to tell Jorryn just to call the whole thing off, but she had hummed and hawed about it, and then it had seemed too late to cancel.

Besides. It was just a little date. She needed to loosen up, relax, and lean into it. Jorryn was beautiful and she seemed nice enough. It would be fun! At the very least it would be bearable and then it would be over and she could go back to her cold, quiet room on Desevro.

Kirie let out a long breath and groaned. She felt like she was going to throw up.

At least she looked cute. She had spent hours that day carefully pinning her hair up into a pretty braided bun, and the dress she had bought with her leftover savings from her stipend was inexpensive but gorgeous. The material wasn't as nice as the dresses she had worn as a royal Handmaiden. In fact, the dress was scratchy and uncomfortable. But it looked lovely, adorned with little stars that matched her silver snowflake earrings.

Kirie shifted restlessly, struck by another uncomfortable thought. What was she supposed to do when she saw her date? Kiss her on the cheek, hug her? She didn't know, and every option she considered made her squirm with anxiety.

Oh stars, this was going to be terrible.

Having received many an ad for the popular Zinder app and overheard much talk from Kor'ethyr Academy students about the dating application, A'Mia had never actually used the app herself. Despite having no real interest in using the service for its intended purposes, the arboreal scientist was hit with sudden inspiration when hearing about one of their events taking place on Illum. What a perfect opportunity for her to blend in an gather data about interpersonal connection and the emotional nuance therein! Not to mention that she was immensely interested in studying the prize on offer to attendees.

Packing her bags for spur of the moment field work, A'Mia made good time and arrived a few hours before the event was set to begin. This allowed her to discreetly plant many of her little Sithspawn helpers all throughout the forest and around the edges of the frozen lake. Later, long after the event concluded, she would retrieve them and review all of the collected data. Once done, flowers strategically placed, the neti allowed herself to sink into observation of those gathering.

She'd chosen a shorter form than normal, standing at only five and a half feet tall, and wore a simple leafy dress. The cold didn't truly bother her unless it dipped to dangerous temperatures, so A'Mia still stood out more than she otherwise intended. Serenely, she took to the ice— skating gracefully and snooping on the dates of others as she did.

Merry Life Day
Ilum | Icy Wastes | Edge of Zinder Forest

Ten days it was now. Fething Alliance remnants and their Jedi pawn. They had been stranded here and took the first opportunity they got and stole His shuttle. It was not Imperius' first time on Ilum to requisition Adegan Crystals but it was the first time He got dumbfooled like this by a group of do-gooders who chose a small criminal act. Ridiculous. And now He was dragging the big bag with colorful crystals behind Him for ten days. Wildlife had done its part and the cold started to even affect the physical demigod. Additionally to His heavy red robe, He had harvested some thick fur that was now draped over His shoulders.

Imperius knew that there was an abandoned outpost not far, one where He could find shelter and probably something to either juice up His power or comms. So the mostly red and white figure stomped through the icy storms and ever-winter snows of Ilum.

Lights in the distance, slowly revealing themselves. He did not really care. Force of arms or mind and He would get what He desired. But the closer He got the stranger it got. Colorful lights and a sense of cheer, of ease was in the air. There was no urgency or business that could be felt. Figures moved below the trees, walking calmly - even gleefully.

What was going on?

He was physically not able to hallucinate and yet He questioned His own bio-engineering in this moment, if the cold found a way into His brain.

It did not matter, He trudged on, lifting the bag on His back so He carried it over His shoulder, having better control over it.

Carefully He approached the forest and its rather relaxed inhabitants.

Cora had fed Nefaron's taunt to her hearth.

Then, she went to Ilum anyway.

Ilum was where the remnants of New Jedi Order had rooted themselves after Coruscant's fall. At this point, the wintery world fell under no one's particular jurisdiction - not since the Alliance had fallen, a fact that remained ever-present in the back of her throat like bitter bile.

Cora's day of administrative duties and cozy paperwork came to a swift end when the younglings complained of a monster in the forest. Her first instinct was to privately dismiss their frantic recollections as overactive imaginations at work, but then she remembered.

Nefaron.

Revenge was always poised over Cora like an executioner's blade - not directly in front, but a persistent shadow in her periphery.

Revenge was not the Jedi way. It would not be her way.

There were times where it was easier to ignore, where the cruel sheen of the blade faded into the background. But not today.

Toady, that blade glinted, piercing and sharp through the cold mist, humming with a sort of metallic anticipation that even the crunch of snow beneath her boots couldn't drown out.

Even without the Force, Nefaron's presence hung in the air like a plague. A splash of black fabric and peeling grey skin against pure white snow, punctuated by a little campfire that would've been charming had it not been for certain company.

Cora frowned, hands coming to rest at the hips of her parka. Even the thick, fur-lined material couldn't hide the growing curve of her abdomen.

Her lips thinned and her eyes squinted slightly, suddenly stern as if Nefaron was a particularly disruptive student in her classroom, and not the Corpse Lord, a being comprised of deepest dread and pestilence of the mind.

"You're scaring the children."

The pink haired Ashlan loved the ice, it reminded her of visiting her mothers castle on Lur or winters home on Lujo. She was a good skater but wouldn't show off. She calculated that she might get more attention if she seemed a little less competent, although she flat out refused to go full damsel in distress like some girls insisted on. She shot an eye at a zeltron girl who was right now being "rescued" from a devastating fall by a knight in shining armour.

"Don't act jealous Fal, it doesnt suit you." she heard her mother's voice in her head... blaaah.

She picked up a bit of speed as she turned the at the end of the lake to go back. She had matched with someone on Zinder, but the guy had been super coy about whether he was actually going to show up. It was annoying, he could be watching her right now just to see if she was worth bothering with. Unfortunately she couldnt tell, so many sith came to these dumb mixers that she had closed off her sensitivity to prevent the inevitable rage that the Bogan caused and prevent her ruining everyone's day by unleashing Ashla's divine light on them.

She chuckled to herself as she straightened up again and squatted down to drag her gloved hands along the ice as she drifted along. Hopefully something would happen.

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
OBJECTIVE III: LET'S GO TO THE STALLS!
ILUM

Ronhar wasn't really the type to get nervous easily.

After all, he was nothing less than a battle-hardened Imperial commando, one who had fought in dozens of battles and skirmishes for both the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant and the Imperial Confederation. He had experienced horrors beyond comprehension, seen sights that most could only dream up, and cheated certain deaths on a number of different occasions. At this point, there wasn't really anything that Ronhar couldn't handle.

Yet in spite of that, Ronhar couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness and apprehension that he hadn't felt in a long time, as he was about to do something that he hadn't done in years, something that he had stopped doing ever since his unfortunate Rhydonium accident and cybernetic surgery.

That was right: Ronhar was going on a date!

It hadn't been something that he had planned on doing, to be fair. As he had been browsing the Holonet, it had just popped up on the terminal with seemingly no warning, an application known as "Zinder". Ronhar had immediately alerted the authorities to what could have been a potential security breach, but they quickly determined that the application itself was basically harmless, though how it go onto Ronhar's secure server remained a mystery. Still, Ronhar couldn't help but be curious, and he had made a profile to utilize the application's functions. He quickly summarized that it was some kind of dating app, and he had decided to see who was on this "Zinder" for himself.

There were some people he recognized and already knew, like Arris Windrun Arris Windrun and Rayne Lo'to Rayne Lo'to , and many others that he didn't. Ronhar reached out to some of them just to say hello, while others he messaged with the intention of asking them out on a date, though Ronhar didn't think he'd be very successful for the most part. After all, he was a hulking brute of a man, standing nearly 6 feet 4 inches tall and rippling with organic and synthetic muscle. Ronhar was sure most people would be put off by his size and appearance, so he was rather surprised when one of the people that he had messaged, Prystill Oasay Prystill Oasay , had actually messaged him back. The two chatted for a bit before agreeing to meet at the Zinder event on Ilum.

That meant that Ronhar had some work to do!

Securing leave had been easy enough, but Ronhar still needed to work on his wardrobe, since his military uniform wasn't going to cut it. Luckily, his Merzoidian contacts had decided to take pity on Ronhar and provided him with a rather sharp looking set of clothes. He had been told that such attire was of critical importance for the date he was going on, and Ronhar was determined to gather as many advantages as he could to ensure everything was successful.

That just left the itinerary for the evening. The plan was simple: Ronhar and Prystill Oasay Prystill Oasay would start by walking amongst the various stalls and shops set up for the event. There, Ronhar would buy them sustenance of some sort and a sentimental gift for Pry, along with anything else she might want to purchase. After kindly offering to carry her bags and things, Ronhar would then escort Pry into the forest proper, where their walk among the wintery wonderland would be sure to send sparks flying between them.

Hopefully.

It was a foolproof plan, but there was no telling if Ronhar's date might deviate from what Ronhar had in store or decided to abandon the date entirely if things were not to her liking. Ronhar was determined to prevent that from happening.

As he saw Pry approach, Ronhar gave himself a once-over: he fixed his hair, straightened his suit jack and checked his breath for any indication of bad smell. Not finding anything of note, he braced himself for the night to come...

”Why do we have to come to a dating event?” Hyartë questioned with a mock huff as the Quendesh exited their ship upon arrival at Ilum. Hyartë was the more cautious of the two. She didn’t like letting Tintinallë walk blindly into crowds. She herself would not have a second thought of doing the same thing, but somehow for her partner it was unsafe.

Knowing that her partner wasn’t really trying to get Tintinallë to leave the event, the smaller Quendesh pilot merely gave a giggle and shook her head. ”How come everything that isn’t your idea is dangerous? We’ve been on tons of dates with beings we didn’t know well. We’ve been out in public a ton. When’s the last time we had a date with one of our own? You don’t want to have fun, just be a worry wort and sit back and watch,” Tintinallë responded with a faux angry face.

The two diminutive women gave each other a quick look and then they were off to meet the others from the event. ”Did it have to be on a place so cold?” Hyartë complained. Though she was not really dressed for the cold, only throwing a fur cape over her normal attire and adding some warmer boots.

Tintinallë on the other hand wore a long-sleeved sweater and lined pants along. While Hyartë walked in a methodical pace towards the gathering spot, Tintinallë was skipping. The smaller woman ignored her partner’s complaining about the temperature. Tintinallë was quite certain that they could find a warm spot on Ilum if they really needed it. A part of her wanted to tell Hyartë that the hunter could stay in the ship if she wanted to, but another part was more comfortable with Hyartë as security.

As they got closer Tintinallë’s wrist vibrated. She gave a soft squeal as she looked down to retrieve the message, knowing that she had muted all notifications except from the Zinder app. Hyartë rolled her eyes, but inwardly she was curious to know what message had been sent. For as much complaining as she was doing the hunter was curious what other Quendesh were doing out in the galaxy. And there was that never-ending drive to bond that all those of their kind had to learn to deal with. Hyartë and Tintinallë had each other, but they both still had desires to meet others. Hyartë had heard horror stories of what had happened to Quendesh without proper bonding. She hoped that their date had not been that isolated.

”She’s waiting for us at the changing station,” Tintinallë announced in excitement quickening the pace of her skipping. Hyartë followed at a continued steady pace. While the pilot continued straight to where their date said they could meet, the hunter made sure to go to the place where loaner skates were being distributed. She requested skates in their sizes and then moved to catch up with Tintinallë.

As she was skipping along, Tintinallë was typing away on her wrist texting device. She hadn’t even noticed that Hyartë was no longer right behind her and the thought that they would need skates to ice skates had completely escaped her.

[Tintinallë]: We are on our way. When I hit send it will probably be just a minute before I can see you!!!

As predicted Tintinallë was in sight of the Dressing Area moments after she had hit send. Picking out Olyssandra was not difficult at all. Quendesh had a hard time blending in. Taller beings could fail to notice they were even present, but another diminutive being would have no trouble identifying one of them, though they may not know exactly what a Quendesh was. As mentioned, it had been quite a while since Tintinallë had seen a Quendesh besides Hyartë. The pilot moved faster, somehow half a run and half a skip.

”Hi! I’m Tintinallë!” she announced the moment that she was standing in front of the “stranger” Quendesh. She was bouncing in excitement. Back in the conclave she grew up in Tintinallë would greet a stranger with a big hug. She held back, not knowing what Olyssandra’s background was. Tintinallë didn’t want to offend right off the bat. ”This is…” the pilot finally noticed that Hyartë was not behind her. ”Oh…um…Hyartë will be here soon I am sure. It’s great to meet you. You can call me Tin or Tintin if you want.”
