Description:
"Classy and combat capable." As Zenva would often describe her attire as well as herself. At least there is some truth in regard to her combat vest. Zenva has a knack for crafting her own tools of war, from hand forged fighting knives to her proudest accomplishment, Blood Hunter's Iron Works. This has now extended to a hand crafted armored vest.
The design is fairly simplistic and meant to be unassuming. It starts with hand tooled, and chemically hardened, Tikulini leather. This outer layer provides a strong, durable frame to attach the inner layers to. This layer comes with the added benefit of being well suited to turning lightsaber blades aside. Beneath the Tikulini hide is the heaviest layer of protection, durasteel strike plates. These sheets of durasteel are shaped to fit each flat expanse of the corset, and are thick enough to stop most slug thrower calibers. They are held in place by the final layer of protection, Molytex weave. This blaster resistant material is stitched directly to the leather, creating pockets which hold the strike plates in position. Finally beneath all these armor layers rests a Lashaa silk undershirt. The shirt is there to prevent chafing, and provide a comfortable fit, nothing more.
The vest also includes several large pouches. These range in size and can incorporate a wide variety of supplies. From hand held comms, to medical supplies, even extra power cells and hand held grenades. Naturally the pouches and belt connected to the vest are made of the same Tikulini leather.
