(WIP)

Name: Zefgahld Qojex

Alias: "Falo Loffkeq" - tan of fur, black of hair and purple of eyes.

Homeworld: Coruscant

Faction: A newly-minted citizen of the Galactic Empire who is clandestinely doing all she can to support, aid, uphold and spread the morals of the Jedi Order as stealthily as she can manage through a small section of the Imperial Military.

Rank: Lieutenant in the Coruscant Security Force (Honorably discharged).

Species: Amaran

Age: 21

Sex: Female

Languages: Fluent: Basic, Sullustese
Conversational: Quarrenese, Huttese
Comprehension only: Binary, Shyriiwook

Height: 4'11

Weight: 86 lbs.

Build: Petite, thin and barely athletic, with barely perceptible muscular outlines on her limbs beneath her fur - stronger than she looks, in short.

Eye color: Frosted white with midnight blue sclera.

Hair color: Red

Fur color: Light gray; smokey white along her underside.

Distinguishing Features: Her bizarre, ghostlike eyes with their faintest hints of gray-blue in the sclera, for one, as well as a rust-orange stripe of fur in the shape of a crescent moon on the left side of her neck.

Force Sensitivity: No

Occupation: Currently none. Former CSF Officer (see above). The closest things to jobs she possesses are acting as a "vigilante" investigator, slicer and information broker selling information to less by-the-book Security Officers and detectives, in addition to doing information couriering side-hustles for scientists and researchers across the Galaxy, as well as to fuel her own quest for knowledge.

Strengths:

Police Training/Criminology:
Proficient in the use, maintenance and specs of a great deal of blaster pistols and rifles far beyond what is used by the CSF; of course, this knowledge is virtually universal. Knowledge of the tactics, methods, psychology and types of criminals that can be found throughout and beyond society has often served this Amaran well and can give her an edge that standard civilians don't have.

A Foray in Acting/Urban Scout: A part of Zef's old job was traveling Coruscant's many levels in one plainclothes disguise or another; this adapted tactic was brought about from kithood experience acting in her Godfather's holocommercials for a failed business enterprise. This unusual and improvised tactic, coupled with the analytical nature of criminology, enabled a once mediocre and very brief acting stint to eventually blossom into a skill that has captured or killed a few dozen of Coruscant's most vile villains, including a rogue Force Adept. In addition, the young Amaran makes for a capable lookout and scout, capable of "passing unseen" far better than most could imagine, even despite her social ineptitude.

Analytical Mind: Naturally intelligent and having been an avid (if moderate) reader ever since she was able to hold a datapad, Zefgahld has gained a good deal of logical thinking processes over the years, which, combined with police tactics, psychology and philosophy, can lead to the use of an eclectic combination of skills that can aid in deciphering varied and vast amounts of information.

Scholar's Excitement: Enjoyment of an activity that most others may consider trivial at best or dull at worst can lead some to pursue information-seeking for longer periods and with greater enthusiasm. A lifetime of amateur study of a varied number of topics has left this lifelong information-seeker a bizarre jack-of-all-trades in regards to various scientific theories and facts, especially regarding astronomy, tactics, life sciences, psychology, history and cooking, to name a few. However, apart from a moderate cooking ability and her tactical, psychological and investigative training, the rest are varied facts and theories that may or may not prove useful. However, this odd girl will go out of her way to gain new information about practically any topic, when the opportunity to do so may be presented.

Hero's Resolve: A lifetime of reading fiction, coupled with tactics gleaned from the CSF, has impressed upon this girl the morals of the greatest of the Galaxy’s legends, up to and including the recently-restored Jedi Order. Deep resolve and conviction bordering on stubbornness has led to above average courage at times that has saved more than a few lives back when she was with the CSF.

Jester's Laughter: Despite being a serious, well-read autodidactic and an introvert, this Amaran has always been an occasional humorist over the entire course of her life, if rarely amongst her (rare) loved ones. Over the years and especially during her time with the Coruscant Security Force, Zefgahld was known to sometimes use sarcasm and situational humor both to resolve tension in the field or to distract or enrage any ne'er-do-well that she might be engaged with, to gain any sort of strategic advantage - she usually opted for the latter option and insulted opponents. Obviously, this can be either a very useful or an incredibly stupid idea.

Hero’s Resignation/Hope’s Light: Qojex has seen many tragic acts, notwithstanding what happened to her birth parents, over her few years of life. Yet the armor forged with tears is among the staunchest and most resolute that the Galaxy has to offer forth against the Darkness! Immersion in holonovels that repeat the same timeless morals over and over despite vastly different settings, ironically, has gifted the Amaran with the ability to know any number of endings, good or bad, that can just as easily apply to real life - one of the greatest lessons, accordingly, is that love never fails and hope NEVER can be extinguished even when heroes fall and Darkness prevails. A faint light shines brightest when surrounded by absolute darkness, and thus the darkness is held back - timelessly!

Weaknesses:

Scar Tissue/Chronic Pain:
The explosion of a cryonics-based bomb during an assault on a crime lord's compound that stranded the Amaran and three other Officers in the criminal's archives for several hours wounded Zefgahld and an Herglic accomplice (ice shards, duracrete and shrapnel from an unfortunate protocol droid's remains pierced her back and the Herglic's torso, respectively), killed their Gamorrean superior and cryonically shattered away the arm and leg of a youthful Falleen Officer who had failed to disable the bomb. The remaining eight hours of the assault on that war droid compound behind the frozen door were spent amongst the horror of the frozen, agonizing death of the Falleen youth two hours later, as well as the bitter, heart-wrenching cold that nearly claimed the life of the Amaran and Herglic; the two were rescued and treated for their ice-infused wounds and hypothermia alike.

Damaged nerves, pierced by the harsh, knifelike ice, several chunks of duracrete and wiring and metal from the droid that was caught in the explosion, have since become underlying scar tissue, susceptible to injury, irritation and pain if sudden movements or an unexpected fall aggravate the wound again, temporarily increasing her already constant pain to nearly unbearable levels...The aggravated, scar-healed nerves along her lower back have left the Amaran, even in the best of health, with a constant, nagging pain, slight on the best of days, even when working with nothing more than the HoloNet. Any escalation of this pain via the irritation of those same underlying nerves could easily leave this otherwise brave woman out of commission in any fight she might happen to be caught up in.

Cryophobia: The bizarre incident involving a cryonic bomb that left the Amaran with constant, slight and varying chronic pain along her lower back also left her with an intense dislike - even fear - of extreme cold and especially of winter weather, wherever in the Galaxy it may be found.

Explosive Rage: Some people in the Galaxy at large RARELY get mad, but when they finally do lose their cool, they lash out in fury for hours on end, at least, and tend to hold long-lasting, intense and vengeful grudges. Zefgahld Qojex is just that sort of an Amaran: her anger is extremely rare, but can be intense and all-encompassing when she finally does lose her temper...

Constant Alienation: Possibly due to either nigh-chronic childhood loneliness, an anxiety disorder or merely a result of her philosophical and introspective nature, or perhaps all of those things, Zefgahld Qojex has never felt comfortable in most social situations, especially around most of her peers. Adding to those early woes, her few years in the Coruscant Security Force resulted in her growing cynical and pessimistic about certain elements of sentient life, despite her moral resolve, boundless protectiveness towards others and occasional tendency to use humor. Sadly, due to all of these factors, the Amaran has a tendency to not fully trust anyone she might work with, to say nothing of not bothering to get emotionally invested in much of anyone beyond her old CSF mentor and her Godfather. This terrible, loner tendency only increases, and creates a vicious cycle that, though she would never admit it, has led to depression in addition to further fueling her natural anxiety… She feels she will never fit in with anyone, and tries not to get too close or open, emotionally, among the ranks of her peers.

Appearance: Clad in loose, faded urban camouflage breeches, a midnight blue bandana tied around a dirty head of unkempt, short, fiery-red hair, a snug leather vest and a simple, unadorned tan shirt over her slim and boyish, rather flat and petite figure, the eccentric Amaran seemed out of place, even while being inconspicuous as a chattering, laughing crowd of sentients and whirring droids walked, rolled, slithered or hovered their way past the furred alien, her smooth gray coat rippling out as a chilly breeze washed over the aerial platform that the crowd in question was situated on. Scratching at the tufted smoke-white fur jutting out from her shirt along her sternum above that flat chest, the alien's calm and relaxed frame exuded a laid-back, perhaps even lazy outlook on life.

Seemingly content to ignore the gossiping and bustling crowd all around her from her bench, the demure and scrawny, seemingly shy Amaran deftly moved her light gray fingers over the keys of a datapad that rested on one leg, her ankle resting comfortably on the opposite kneecap. A thick-furred, somewhat dust-laden tail shivered atop the bench's durasteel at her side as another blast of unseasonable cold air danced over the aerial platform. Despite the out-of-season, unearthly chilled air around the casually-dressed vulpinoid woman, her face and eyes faintly reflected the glow of her datapad's screen, her fingers now resting calmly atop the keys, her mind alienated from the surrounding, heedless crowd, with their confusions, irrationality and blind conformity, completely lost in some unknown project or another that they would never care for or know about; she as lost to them as they were to her, for better or for worse...

Biography: The Amaran known as Zefgahld Qojex has always been an oddity, even amongst Coruscant's varied and diverse citizenry. A lover of all tales fantastical, as well as realistic, scientifically-inclined and curious due to equal studiousness while homeschooling and in life, the Amaran has always been drawn to the realm of countless holonovels, a smattering of history and a great number of sciences over the course of her early homeschooling. Doubtless, the influence of her Godfather, Ghacin Qojex, an eccentric Sullustan politician - though of a rather minor and less successful (and therefore more honest and polite) sort - had a strong influence in his Goddaughter's mannerisms and proclivities in the midst of their many offworld travels engaging in political affairs. No doubt due to the Sullustan's shared scholastic hobbies, the Amaran's interest and inquiry into ethics was formed at an early age, via the two's shared love of those aforementioned adventure-based holobooks (as well as a few rarer flimsiplast tomes), that detailed the unchanging nature of good and evil, so timeless and beloved by all moral citizens of the Galaxy!

The tragic deaths of Zefgahld's birth parents due to their airspeeder's repulsorlift failing in what was deemed to be suspicious circumstances was one of the main reasons Zef dedicated her life to becoming an officer of the law. Being as her parents were lost just a week before her second Life Day, the Amaran has remained uncertain as to how to feel about her parents as, for better or worse, Ghacin has remained tight-lipped over the matter and, with little in the way of precious or fond memories, Zefgahld has been content to live and work in her Godfather's shadow, holding no resentment and only a small amount of sorrow over the matter - they both know he'll tell her more about the matter whenever he deems the information to be important.

Zef's natural love of the sciences in nearly every form was a lifelong hobby, from caring for varied insects as a kit, to studying the sciences of astronomy from the balcony of their upper level apartment when the speeder traffic and the weather permitted - one couldn't rely on the HoloNet alone for all things, after all - this friendless Amaran got by well enough in spite of lifelong alienation and bullying from her harsh, vain peers and their cruel proclivities. Her Godfather was enough, and what few friends she did gain in her younger days tended to last from a few months to a few years, temporarily banishing an otherwise lifelong sense of loneliness and isolation that her hobbies and HoloNet use could only do so much to alleviate.

It was only a mere few months after her schooling had ended that the teen entered the rigorous Academy training necessary to meet the Coruscant Security Force's physical and intellectual requirements, eventually attaining average scores in all but two criteria; those were slightly above average. It wasn't long after that the Amaran met her first lifelong true friend via her CSF work and a second lasting mentor in the form of a middle-aged, chalk-pale Advozse of an eclectic mix of foul temperament and deeply introspective philosophical inquiry that was along the lines of and heavily influenced by one of the Galaxy's oldest religious Orders: The Jedi.

A mere three years later, a raid on a local Coruscanti crime lord's wasteland castle would both permanently injure and forever change the course of Zefgahld's life...
