DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES

Responsive

Prized among artists and sentients of means, the AskrimaCorp Finesse Series offers a more fine tuned, subtle approach to bionic replacement. Sacrificing some of the authenticity, durability, and power of the Titan line, the prosthesis was designed and manufactured specifically for those unwilling to tolerate any reduction in range of movement. Utilizing proprietary AskrimaCorp biointerface technology and a longer install process, the Finesse interfaces more completely with the amputee's nerve endings for an all around more ergonomic experience.

Specialty In-Built Housing

There are no lengths AskrimaCorp won't go to please its customers, and for certain friends of the upper management, requested alterations can be made right down to the very architecture! From custom compartments to built in slots for datapads, our Paragon Customer Experience is willing to work with you to come to an agreement that satisfies both your needs and our exacting specification standards.

So Quiet, You Won't Even Notice

No prosthesis we have designed before has been quite so effective at minimizing its imprint upon your lives. Lacking even the telltale vibrations of whirring machinery that would give it away to its own user, the Finesse line strives above all things to provide a seamless user experience. You won't even notice its not your real arm!*

* As per customer's request, the componentry required for the optimal silent running experience was stripped from this model to make room for the specialized housing compartment. This particular model may be "somewhat louder" and hence, more noticeable than our standard design.

Custom Coat Job

So long as it passes our tolerance requirements, AskrimaCorp is more than willing to accommodate requested cultural accouterments and personalized engravings or color schemes. On extremely rare occasions, certain AskrimaCorp locations have been known to even utilize specialized casings, as long as the desired material is either paid for at local cost or provided on hand. Special Disclaimer: AskrimaCorp cannot be held accountable for the same standards of quality as it pertains to consumer supplied parts.

Strengths:
  • Lighter weight, allows for more range of motion and dexterous movement
  • Omegium casing adds more tensile strength, somewhat making up for the reduced armoring and providing a natural resistance to penetrating radioactivity
  • Built in housing for a concealed lightsaber with a snap release mechanism hidden in the wrist that allows for quick deployment
Weaknesses :
  • Focus on precision movement sacrifices some of the usual strength of a mechanical prosthesis (could maybe bend a turbolift door open but can't punch through any walls)
  • Highly conductive omegium shell makes the prosthetisis more suspectible than average to high temperatures and other forms of heat damage
  • Lightsaber housing sacrifices any inherent stealth componentry the prosthesis may have posessed (its somewhat loud)

DESCRIPTION

In the aftermath of the Battle of Castameer during what would become known as the Omega Crisis, casualties were suffered on all sides. Not just the many rogue Sith who were cut down that day, but thousands of soldiers of the Galactic Alliance, Mandalorian Clans, and the First Order who sacrificed themselves valiantly to prevent another superweapon from ultimately terrorizing the galaxy and bringing it once more under the yoke of a new order of oppressive Sith tyranny. Thousands more were wounded, many of them critically, none perhaps more so than at the time Captain Zark Pulsar. Having fought his way down to the surface and back up up to the superweapon itself, the Captain lead an Alliance strike team to several of the station's main generators, overloading them in a bid to put the superlaser out of commission once and for all. In the process, his saber arm was severed by a powerful Sith Lord as they dueled over the fate of the final generator between Omega and annihilation.

The station was ultimately destroyed over Castameer, and miraculously the Captain was pulled from the crashing structure in time by his Padawan and several other members of the strike team, on the brink of life and death. Receiving the best possible emergency treatment by Alliance Navy doctors, Pulsar was then transferred to an outpatient AskrimaCorp facility for physical rehabilitation and limb replacement. Grateful for the Captain's efforts in helping to save his own life in turn, the CEO of the company and coincidentally the Padawan who pulled him from the Omega station paid no heed to expense in designing and manufacturing the best possible replacement, complete with a protective coating of the obsidian mineral born of the catastrophic collision that the Jedi Knight and Alliance officer was in large part responsible for.
