PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Zara Voss possesses the rare, striking orange-red skin of a Lethan Twi'lek, a hue so vivid it seems to glow under the right lighting. Her body and face are adorned with intricate, flowing dark tattoos in traditional Ryl patterns — elegant swirls and symbols that accentuate her lithe, athletic frame rather than obscure it. She wears her lekku in an elaborate, sculpted twin-tail style that shifts with calculated grace. Her large, expressive eyes and disarming smile can melt suspicion in seconds, while her refined posture and impeccable taste in clothing make her appear effortlessly at home in both high society and shadowy underworld dealings.
INVENTORY
Inventory is flexible. See below for holdings per alias.
She is rumored to have a storehouse with multiple stolen valuable artworks.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Zara is one of the galaxy's most charming rogues — sophisticated, witty, and disarmingly likable. Like a master artist, she views every con as a carefully composed masterpiece. She possesses a refined aesthetic sense: she is genuinely offended by poor forgeries, bad tailoring, or clumsy lies. Highly intelligent and quick-thinking, she excels at reading people, adapting on the fly, and talking (or flirting) her way out of — or into — almost any situation. Beneath the charm lies a calculating mind that rarely trusts anyone fully. She enjoys the thrill of the game as much as the credits it brings, and she has a romantic streak that occasionally leads her into complicated entanglements.
STRENGTHS
- Charismatic Master Manipulator - Zara possesses an almost supernatural level of charm and social intelligence. She can read people extremely well, adapt her personality instantly, and make almost anyone like and trust her within minutes. Her disarming smile and graceful Twi'lek presence make her exceptionally effective at long cons and high-society grifts.
- Brilliant Improviser and Quick Thinker - She excels under pressure. She can think several steps ahead, spin believable lies on the spot, and turn a failing con into an advantage with remarkable creativity. Her ability to improvise elegant solutions is one of her greatest assets.
- Exceptional Aesthetic Eye & Attention to Detail - Zara has impeccable taste and a deep knowledge of art, fashion, antiquities, and luxury. This makes her forgeries and fake artifacts nearly indistinguishable from the real thing. She also uses her refined appearance and knowledge of high culture to blend seamlessly into elite circles across the galaxy.
WEAKNESSES
- Overconfidence / Thrill-Seeker - Zara genuinely enjoys the game more than the credits. She sometimes takes unnecessary risks or stays on a mark too long simply because she finds the challenge exciting. This hubris has nearly gotten her caught on more than one occasion.
- Difficulty Forming Genuine Trust - Because she lives by deception and reads people so well, Zara finds it extremely hard to trust others in return. She keeps most people at arm's length and can become paranoid when someone seems too clever or gets too close to her real identity. This emotional distance can isolate her when she actually needs allies.
- Soft Spot for Beauty and Cleverness - She has a romantic and artistic weakness for beautiful things — rare art, elegant people, and especially clever opponents. She occasionally hesitates or even sabotages her own con if she becomes genuinely impressed by or attracted to her mark, which can lead to costly mistakes or complicated entanglements.
HISTORY
Born Zara Vossari on Ryloth to a minor but respected clan, Zara displayed exceptional intelligence and charisma from a young age. While most Lethan Twi'leks faced the grim reality of being highly sought after in the slave trade, young Zara refused to become a prize. She ran away from her clan's holdings in her late teens, disappearing into the underbelly of the galaxy with nothing but her wits and a stolen datapad.
She taught herself the fine arts of forgery, sleight-of-hand, and social engineering by studying everything from ancient Jedi holocrons to Imperial security protocols. Over the years she has perfected the art of the long con, moving seamlessly between elegant galactic high society and gritty underworld scenes. Whether posing as a refined diplomat, a mysterious art collector, a luxury starship broker, or an underground fight promoter, Zara always plays her role with effortless conviction.
Her signature style blends Twi'lek grace with high fashion. She favors sleek, form-fitting outfits that highlight both her exotic beauty and practical needs — hidden compartments for forged credentials, data-spikes, or small drones are standard. Her lekku tattoos serve as both cultural expression and subtle misdirection; few realize how much information she can convey (or conceal) through them.
Zara has pulled off some of the most audacious confidence schemes in recent memory: selling "authentic" ancient Jedi artifacts to gullible nobles on Naboo, rigging high-stakes sabacc games in Coruscant's glittering casinos, and convincing wealthy Cloud City elites to invest in non-existent luxury starships. She maintains an ever-growing list of aliases, each one backed by flawless forged documentation and a carefully cultivated persona.
Despite her criminal lifestyle, Zara avoids senseless violence and prefers elegance over brutality. She has a soft spot for beautiful things — fine art, rare wines, and clever opponents — and occasionally finds herself helping those she likes, even when it complicates her schemes. She is always one step ahead… or at least appears to be.
Currently, Zara travels the galaxy under various identities, always chasing the next big score while staying just out of reach of planetary authorities, bounty hunters, and the occasional suspicious Sector Ranger. She views the entire galaxy as her canvas and every mark as a potential masterpiece in the making.
