+ Pilot: Thanks to his force sensitivity, education and life style, Zane is a gifted pilot. Mostly when it comes to maneuvers, navigation and travel as well as dogfighting some if he get's into the cockpit of something more nimble.
+- Form II Makashi: To greater excel in dueling combat Zane utilizes form II with his weapons. Be it lightsaber or even an old vibro rapier empowered by the Force. He is better a dealing with single opponents rather than groups.
+- Kuat > Corellia: More so a matter of planetary national pride, since a child Zane has tried to honor his home world the best he can. Believing Corellian to be something of rivals to him.
- Toughness: Although Zane is athletic he is not the toughest or most durable guy around. It one can get past he light defenses he would be inside of a world of hurt.
- Pot Shot: Zane isn't a very good marksmen, even though he has been familiar with blasters for a good chunk of his life he never quite mastered them.
- Force Newbie: Being new to all the seemingly supernatural nature of the force, Zane power is unrefined and currently unreliable. Although training in the ways of the lightside of The Force, the continence and ease of the dark tempts him.
APPEARANCE:
Zane is a rather tall and lanky young man. With a toned athletic body meant for endurance and mobility. He has a head of nice blonde hair and vibrant blue eyes. On his face over his upper lip he keeps a thin blonde mustache almost making him look a little older than he is being in his early 20s. On his adventures he often wears tight well fitted clothes as well as a breath mask to provide him with oxygen and or filter the air for him. As well as purple goggles over his eyes.
BIOGRAPHY:
Zane was born on the start of the art manufacturing planet Kuat, and was named after his father Zane DeZorroe I. Living in the capital Kuat City. As a young kid Zane would yearn for adventure. He was also a bit of a trouble maker as well. Often getting into fights and bets against the local Corellian kids. Something of a nationalistic pride and rivalry. These conflicts often leading him into his life style as a scoundrel. His own father, being something of a junior executive at Kuat Drive Yards eventually at him sent away to boarding school, with a bit of military flair. to teach him some discipline and good ethics in their eyes.
Despite the rough and disciplined nature of it he never really took the lessons he was suppose to learn to heart. Instead growing a deeper fascination with galactic history and geography. Understanding that so much of the historical cannon must be lost or never known to begin with. He also learned some skills, such as how to fight, stay in shape and some basic technical mechanic knowledge.
When he became a young adult he set out into the stars, getting himself an old beater freighter for himself. It being a shoddy Kuat manifested light freighter. He wanted to be something of an explorer, space, and treasure hunter. Starting off by diving into the deep end. Heading to the unknown regions as something of a Steller cartographer. He gathered some valuable astrographical data over the location of planets and star systems on the border of the region. However, he learned the meaning of the saying, "just because it's known, doesn't mean it's empty. Running into a plethora of violent pirate factions that nearly got himself killed.
Trashing his ship in the process he eventually realized that with his lack of experience the unknown regions should be considered off limits to himself. Despite this he did get a good amount of money and, reluctantly, bought himself a Corellian model freighter ship. A old YT-2000 as well as a small droid crew to help maintain and aid him on his missions.
After some Spacer gigs he eventually got into a fight with the up and coming Brotherhood of the Maw, or least that's who they'd become later on back in the unknown regions. But was tempted by the paycheck he would get now with his experience and broke his own rule. After boarding an fighting off the raiders he got a valuable piece of treasure from them. An old lightsaber and holocron. Because he was force sensitive, but didn't know it he unlocked the information inside of it. Leaning of an ancient combat lightsaber style named Makashi and how to learn and use the fighting style with a lightsaber.
Understanding that the Jedi would possibly pay good money to get this artifact back to them. He just needed to know which of the Jedi orders and groups to give the holocron to. Eventually he decided to take a risk on giving it to the Ashlan crusade, who though were actually jedi.
When he arrived in the north east of the galaxy he returned the holocron to the Ashlan Crusaders. They managed to inform him that he was force sensitive and that is how he managed to understand what information the holocron contained. So they offered him a deal, either they could pay him, or with the new and valuable information that he was force sensitive, be trained in the ways of the force.
He naturally took the offer to be trained as new member of the order. Finding it to be worth his time in his greater mission to uncover the lost treasures of the galaxy. Be it items or whole lost or unknown worlds. Over all the Ashlan Crusade is more so a means to an end for him as he doesn't quite jive with the culture there. He just hopes his unrulily behavior doesn't cause too many problems for the for him down the road...
Also he got to keep the yellow lightsaber he found, other's believing it to be the will of The Force to it to have been reunited with a forces sensitive. However, he still keeps his old trusty blaster on him, even if he isn't that well gifted in the ways of marksmanship, so uncivilized...
