- Modularity: Yes
- Production: Limited
- Material:
- Signal-Hardened Relay Circuitry
- Crystal Transmitter Core
- Datafold Burst Encoder
- Trinary Encryption Keys
- Tactical Data Relay Hub: Distributes parsed/decrypted data from CLAS or Whispercell across the fleet or to designated intel HQs.
- Encrypted Burst Messaging: Allows secure delivery of high-priority intelligence updates between Commonwealth vessels, even during battle.
- Trinary Encryption Protocol: Uses layered time-shifted encryption keys to prevent packet interception or spoofing.
- CLAS & Trineshield Compatible: Can link with Helion- or Trineshield-equipped systems for power balancing and signal relay harmonization.
- Uplink Spoof Masking: Sends mirrored dummy pings to hide the true position or identity of the sending vessel.
- Fleetwide SIGINT Distribution: Enables rapid sharing of decrypted comms, intelligence finds, and sensor anomalies.
- High Encryption + Packet Security: Protects sensitive data across battlefield or deep space operations.
- Ghost Mode Relays: Allows covert sharing of data with command ships or strategic assets under comms blackout.
- Needs Line of Sight or Comms Node Access: Cannot pierce comms-denial fields or navigate full ECM saturation alone.
- Power Load Under Active Fire: If the uplink is active during battle, it may require Trineshield or auxiliary power.
- No Processing Function: Only transmits; cannot decrypt, analyze, or translate signals. Requires CLAS or Helion core backend.
The Zagreus Comm Uplink is the strategic spine of the Black Vigil SIGINT Suite. While CLAS listens and Whispercell steals, Zagreus relays and shares, allowing entire Commonwealth strike groups, scout wings, or defense sectors to receive tactical intelligence parsed in real-time from frontline operatives.
Named for the mythic intermediary of secrets and chaos, Zagreus operates as a hyper-encrypted data repeater that can send or receive decrypted communications, signal analysis reports, ghost traces, and cyber-intel packets across systems and between ships. Whether placed on a Fortan-class SIGINT corvette or a Commonwealth command carrier, it ensures that no decrypted truth remains isolated.
Zagreus does not generate intelligence itself, but without it, the Black Vigil cannot coordinate. Its modular encryption system, based on trinary quantum folding keys and synchronized crystal relays, makes it one of the most secure battlefield relay tools available in the Imperial Commonwealth arsenal.
In stealth operations, Zagreus can ping dead buoys, simulate falsified comms handoffs, or distribute Trojan malware in disguised outbound comm bursts, making it a tool not just for relaying truths, but for planting lies.
Use with caution. Or with strategy.
