Zetatron 1-Millitary Combatant Droid
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Restricted Missions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: IMF
  • Model: N/A
  • Production: Mass produced
  • Affiliation: Closed market/TSA
  • Modularity: N/A

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Fourth Degree
  • Weight: 123 KG
  • Height: 3m
  • Movement: Bipedal
  • Armaments:
    Rotary cannon blaster (right arm)
  • Shield generator (extending from those two holes in the left arm)

[*]Misc. Equipment:
  • Point defense programming - Able to shoot microscopic lasers to shoot incoming projectiles down (not large ones)
  • Build in smoke screen - Water vapour mixed with iodine in gas form from the atmosphere emenates a purple smoke to confuse the enemy (and in extreme amounts in closed environments, be lethal)

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Specialized HUD
  • Fail safe
  • Communication relay system
  • Aim assist
  • Hive mind
DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A custom designed HUD giving technical engineers a better look at the droid's display and reasons as to why it does things
  • A fail safe which in the event of a critical failure will delete all storage files on the droid's CPU, this includes any attempts at hacking it
  • Communication relays enables messages to be sent from the droid to another compatible device
  • Aim assist ensures the that the weapons will never fire unless it would hit the target in its current position, can be manually override (although doing this in combat is suicidal, really used for the rocket pod launcher for destroying environments when necessary)
  • The droid's specifications require it to be used in a hive mind format controlled from a central point

Strengths:

  • Goliath - This thing is pretty big, more menacing to the average civilian with the firepower to back it up
  • Get behind me! - With a shield generator that can be deployed (think, miniature shield, similar to Droidekas) it can protect itself and accomplices
  • Memory wipe - if any of the units are carrying valuable information, the only way of retrieving it is while it is still functioning
Weaknesses :
  • Goliath - Way too big and loud to even be used remotely stealthily
  • Tunnel vision - Once they start shooting they won't stop until the aggressor is dead, even if it was by accident
  • Socially incompatible - They are not designed for social encounters, sentient beings will find them hard to reason with (they will never go against their programming as they have no individual thought)
  • Hive mind - KIll the command centre, these things are useless
DESCRIPTION
IMF's first entry into the droid market is the Zetatron-1 Droid, based off of prototypes codenamed "Z1", it went through several iterations before the final product presented before you. The original plan in a darkened room was to create a war machine that would be capable of unspeakable acts that otherwise sentients wouldn't be able to do, while coming off as a 'protector' sort of programming. Despite this, they are all but incapable of independent thought. Everything they want to do has to be sent to a command node, confirmed, and relayed back. Although this is very possible for modern technology, if that thing is destroyed, they become hunks of metal and weaponry.

Note: Hive mind necessity can be removed although this will impact the droid's performance. This usually comes pre-installed. To remove it, you will generally need to re-produce the model from scratch, leading to a more costly product.

Improving from its base model, the B1 battle droid, this one comes with significant improvements, most notably being its weaponry. Providing utility with decent firepower, the Z1 battle droid is your first line of defense on the battlefield, shielding more important combat units while packing a decent amount of firepower. Also included is a point defense system, capable of destroying small projectile based weaponry, (although shoot enough at it and it will soon become overwhelmed) Finally, a smoke grenade-like system enables it to create a potentially toxic-to-life vapour by converting Iodine from soil and atmosphere, heating it with boiled water and ejecting it from the steel valves on its front.

Despite this, it does have several weaknesses, one of them already highlighted above. Aside from that, the sheer size of this makes it a very easy target on the battlefield, although its core systems are shielded, its thought processes have a slowed reaction time due to the nature of how it thinks, so get close enough and it will not be able to accurately dispatch of a melee combatant.
