~The Ghost watches~
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Up until now, IMF has been producing mainly mobile droids with the capability to unload lots of bullets in a short period of time. The Z-Protector cannon does just that, but is intended to be used on a much, much slower model, preferably one that was flying. The model itself was designed solely to be used on the new upcoming Z4-SD, which will be the first droid based around its lack of mobility rather than its agility, although other droids can utilize it so long as they have the capacity to carry large amounts of ammunition.
The actual design of the gun is extremely simplistic, with there being a main barrel for it to fire generic shells/explosives out of and two under barrels capable of firing LMG like bullets, outputting lots of ballistic shells in a relatively short period of time, although test runs have indicated that these two barrels are extremely prone to overheating so a coolant system was installed. Even with the coolant system, further test results indicated that firing roughly for 30 seconds is likely to overheat the weapon and disable that chamber from firing due to an automated barrier placed to stop permanent damage to the equipment.
The rest of the gun is encased in a box, with separate ammunition chambers for the explosives, shells and bullets. The coolant liquid is installed in a vessel like system, circulating around the weapon and then being transported to the back to distribute the heat.

- Primary Source: N/A
- Manufacturer: IMF
- Model: N/A
- Affiliation: Open-Market
- Modularity: No
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material: Quandanium steel, standard ballistic weapon components
- Classification: Autocannon
- Size: Mounted
- Length: 50cm
- Weight: 20kg
- Ammunition Type: Bullets/Shells
- Ammunition Capacity: 10 shells/1000 bullets
- Effective Range: Equivalent to a standard blaster cannon
- Rate of Fire: Select fire: Semi/full auto
- Coolant system - Given the high rate of fire, there is a cooling liquid constantly circulating around the weapon to stop it from overheating.
- High rate of fire
- Explosive
- Prone to overheating - Despite the coolant liquid it is still very prone to overheating. Firing it non-stop for 30 seconds at a time will cause it to overheat and become unusable for around 2 minutes.
- Highly inaccurate - The spread of the weapon ramps up considerably at anything longer than close range, at which it won't be dealing much damage.
