OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Create a stealth system to be used on starfighters
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Decoria Industries
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Model: Z-3 Stealth Engine
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: semi-unique
  • Material: Engine components, Durasteel
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Capable of reducing detection in by scanners, allowing crafts to remain undetected. The reduction in gas escaping from the engines means that scanners have difficulty in picking up on a ships movements.
STRENGTHS
  • Makes it near impossible to detect a ship via scanners
  • Average weight of engine means a ship can move quickly using the engines
  • Suitable engine for freighter or lower
  • Harder for enemy's to lock-on ship to fire weapons
WEAKNESSES
  • High speeds can only be used for brief moments before engines overheat and risk a large engine explosion.
  • Does not conceal ships from view
  • When releasing gases stored in the engine, the ship is very easy to detect
  • Not able to hold in emissions for extended periods of time
DESCRIPTION
Decoria Industries has been working on a low emission stealth engine, one that is capable for reasonable period of time to cloak its movements from scanners and making it harder for opponents to use computers to lock-on and target the ship using the stealth engine. This makes it easier for the ship to remain undetected and harder to track, however this is only a short term ability since the engines must release the gas and allow the engines cool down. This means that during this cool down period the ship is vulnerable, able to be detected and tracked like any other normal ship. It is recommended to avoid high speeds since that will cause the engines to overheat faster and risk causing an explosion if the engine is pushed too hard. While the engine works to make the ship harder to detect via computers, but one can see a ship only using the engine to avoid detection. Therefore, it is ideal to use a cloaking system with the low emission engine to avoid complete detection. Though the strain on the engines could prove to be too severe.

This is your usual level of great! Nice detail, good planning, nicely formatted.

But I have one issue....per factory rules, all stealth technology must be set to either "Semi-Unique" or "Unique" for production. If you can make this change please, just tag me and we can get this approved!
