Appearance
Kat is of an average height when she has her robotic legs on that she has needed since birth, with an athletic yet curvy frame. Her arms are covered in tattoos of a tech design due to her love of technology and building tech. Her long white hair is usually tied in buns or loose down to the middle of her back, her green eyes match the green of her lightsaber pike that is usually attached to her back. There is a scar across her left cheek from a drunken fight and several scars from battles she had fought in as a younger adult. Her robotic legs are elegant and don't look too different to leg armour, she doesn't often have her legs on show but is not ashamed of them either, especially since she knows that they can give her an advantage in combat if the need arises. Is not likely to be seen wearing robes and has grown into her own style of clothing, usually a jacket of some kind, form fitting trousers and her welder goggles on the top of her head.
Strengths, Weaknesses and Abilities
Being Echani with training as a Jedi, Kat is extremely well skilled in melee. Knowing all her Echani forms of combat as well as being able to use the Ataru form well means that facing Kat in combat can be tricky. Though she isn't a Master of the Lightsaber Form and her Echani training can always be better, so while she is a very capable fighter, she is by no means a master in combat and her studies in the Force have only pushed her combat training back further.
Kat is first and foremost a mechanic, she loves to repair, build and create new machines and technology when she can. This is why she pulled her resources together and created her company, Decoria Industries, something she is incredibly proud of when she has her head out of the clouds and focuses on building the company up. Being a skilled mechanic, Kat can do a lot with some scrap materials and loves to tinker things, does mean she can be a lot to handle when taking people's weapons, ships, anything tech based and trying to upgrade it.
Her Force Powers are not the combat based for the most part, Kat has developed her field in support and increasing her own abilities. So, she has a deep connection to the Force, she refrains from using it in combat or hurting others since her time in war has changed her views on combat and the stresses it has put her under can lead her to breakdown due to the trauma she experienced.
While Kat has improved her confidence over the years, she can still get shy especially around women she finds attractive, however she has improved her social skills over the years and doesn't always feel she is making a fool of herself. Her confidence grown in her body as well as she is moving forward to feel more body positive about herself and not cripplingly ashamed of her legs anymore.
The trauma of losing loved ones, attempting to deal with a difficult mother who was suffering with grief stricken depression as well as the guilt she felt in leading soldiers into combat and then feeling the loss of their lives through the Force. This has pushed Kat into binge drinking when she goes out, refusing to use her Force powers for combat and despising violence though she does fight in hopes one day it will end fighting.
The most proficient Force Powers she has are: Force Push/Pull, Grip, Healing, Battle Meditation, Force Valour, Force Stasis, Mechu-deru, Force Empathy, and Mind Trick. Her combat skills are based on movement and being able to move around an area so she has focused on Ataru, currently at a Knight level, and using a saber pike since it is similar to the Echani staff she had before she turned it into her saber pike. Her other combat skills are in hand to hand combat skills are very proficient and she is skilled in all Echani combat.
Biography
Before becoming a skilled Force User in the Galactic Alliance, Kat Decoria was a simple child on Eshan. Born to a middle class family, her father a skilled mechanic and her mother grooming her older siblings and twin brother into working for the royal palace and in the government, her mother wanting to see her children grow and become highly respected members of Eshan and the Echani people. Kat, however, fought her way to become a mechanic, not wanting to deal with politics and the way government was run on Eshan. She trained with her father and dedicated her life to learning to repair and create things, especially creating her own lower limbs since she had been born without working legs. Having robotic legs and having to adjust to using them, meant that Kat initially struggled with Echani combat and learning the way her people really communicated, this lead to bullying and feeling ashamed and hating herself and her body. This lead to her working harder to prove her bullies wrong and that with improvements to her legs, she could become a skilled Echani fighter.
After her father passing, Kat dedicated to herself more to being a mechanic since she believed it was her only connection to him and whenever she was building, she felt like he was there with her. Growing her skills, Kat decided to enlist into the Silver Jedi Order as part of the Antarian Rangers, during her time there, she discovered that she was able to use the Force and started her Jedi training. Her training was rocky at times, with her focus constantly shifting and never really settling into the SJO. When the Mandalorians conquered Eshan, she fled with her family to keep them safe since she feared for their safety due to her being a Jedi and the Mandalorians who took Eshan were not friendly of Jedi. Moving her pregnant sister and mother to Kashyyyk, Kat had to deal with the grief of losing her two brothers and having to be responsible for the care of her family now.
Eventually, her sister, niece and mother returned to Eshan, where her sister took a high position within the Echani government. Kat was free from responsibilities for first time in years, leaving the SJC since she was becoming disillusioned with the way of the Jedi there since they seemed to always head into combat and she was done with violence, it had only brought her pain. Leaving the SJC, Kat found herself gambling, drinking and partying hard to forget the pain of loss and struggled to find purpose in her life. After a couple of years away from the galactic affairs, Kat found herself within the Galactic Alliance territory, knowing that her friend Allyson Locke was serving the Galactic Alliance, Kat decided to explore the faction and see if they could help her find the Jedi that still resided in the lost Force User.
Spending years travelling and wallowing in self-pity, Kat came to realise that her purpose in life was to be a healer and she has dedicated her skills to healing and providing care for others. Kat hasn't attempted seeking long term relationships after several failed attempts and prefers more casual encounters and something not serious. Currently, she still is part of the GA and seeks to offer support and is even tempted to take on a Padawan in order to help people progress on their dreams.
