A smaller light freighter developed by the Corellian Engineering Corporation in 770 ABY, the YX-88 C Ultra-light Freighter was intended to serve as a smaller supply runner. It contains space for a max crew of 4, a months worth of provisional cargo, and 40 metric tons of extra storage (including hidden compartments). The vessel was made for fast travel, long travel distances, and outrunning safety threats rather than engaging them directly. The ship was a limited run that saw some niche success before the vessel was ultimately retired in 787 ABY. Much like it's larger cousins, the YT light-freighter line, the YX-88 C was highly customizable, which in addition to it's speed made it a highly favored vessel by the criminal underworld. Vessels are known to have been fitted for sub-light raiding, spice running, and complement to larger freighters, giving the ship a prolific reputation as a vehicle synonymous with crime. To most, however, the ship has faded into relative obscurity, a product of it's highly limited production.
