DESCRIPTION
Designed for the small-time private prospecting businessman, the YX-48 was an industrial freighter with everything you would need to start your own mining company. As such it was specialized in the transport of hazardous and radioactive materials such as coaxium, tibanna, and clouzon-36. With heavy and specialized radiation dispersal and control systems it was able to keep workers safe from the most harmful effects of most materials the vessel was rated to carry. The two large fins that protruded from the hull worked as radiators for the cargo hold, safely dispersing radiation into space through its regulator system. Along with these safety measures the YX-48 was equipped with small-scale energy converters, fabricators, and refineries which could refine small amounts of fuel on the fly. This allowed owners of the YX-48 to spend months at a time prospecting and then refining their finds to sell on the galactic market themselves. While mining guilds across the Corellian Sector and Alliance Space typically held the largest claims, the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions remained ripe for the taking which saw the popularity of the small vessel soar in those regions. This was especially true in regions where nebulas were common as the powerful shielding coupled with its radiation fin allowed the vessel to displace enough of the radiation and electromagnetic disturbances around the vessel to send and receive messages over normal means from within a nebula.

Those regions were also ripe with pirates however and with that in mind the YX-48 had an incredibly robust shield system and heavy armor plating to keep from anything exposing the hull to the vacuum of space and sending hazardous materials hurtling through the sector. The YX-48 was also equipped with two forward-facing laser cannons and a quad-laser cannon turret in the rear. While these offered some protection, the firing arcs of both weapons left the YX-48 defenseless on numerous sides. As a result, the small hangar bay usually reserved for small transports and other unarmed shuttlecraft was often used for a small contingent of fighters, or even the armed freighter of the proud owner of the YX-48. Its other option was to flee, though against the suped-up and modified craft pirates used, its average speed wasn't much of a boon.

Regardless of its shortcomings, the YX-48 served admirably among small-time private shippers and prospectors alike.

Thrash, I am the one reporting it. It is being tackled now.

Either you can have One Starfighter Squadron or One Support Squadron. There is no Ifs, Ands, Or Buts on this. Either change your Hanger Allocation to:

This
  • Starfighters: 1 squadrons
  • Support Craft: Base: 0
Or This
  • Starfighters: 0 Squadrons
  • Support Craft: 1 Squadron

There is no arguing, this HAS to be done.

Listib Hibin Listib Hibin I thought the Admin was keeping you updated on this. I would talk to him to confirm but

We came to an agreement that there is nothing in the rules or the template stating that this MUST be done.
