STRENGTHS
Applying the operating principles of the Universal Energy Cage, Mykel miniaturized the technology for field use by Antarian Rangers, marrying the design to a stun net for the non-lethal capture and containment of hostile Force users. The net and its casing are coated in Taozin-derived resin, rendering them difficult for Force users to sense or directly manipulate by diminishing their presence in the Force.
Upon successful deployment, the target is first ensnared by the net. Once fully enclosed, the net's conductive threading behave like superconducting loops, allowing a high-intensity Force Field to form around the target, instead of delivering a conventional electrical shock as energy is fed into the system. When the captured Force User attempts to draw upon the Force, the system responds by generating a proportional counter-force, disrupting Force usage in the same manner as a full-sized Universal Energy Cage.
Because this is a miniaturized system, its internal power reserves are limited. Against weaker targets, the net can maintain containment for up to an hour, while exceptionally powerful individuals such as Sith Lords or Elite Sithspawn may drain the system within minutes. However, once the target is secured, the net can be connected to a continuous external power source via a standard power coupler, allowing continuous operation.
Yugiri can be launched from existing platforms capable of firing capture nets and requires no special modifications for deployment.
