Cali was totally a flirt. She liked interacting with practically everyone, and wanted nothing more than them to be happier when they parted than when they'd met. Sith were an exception. Would totally love if they were happier on parting, but they were such curmudgeons that spending any time in close proximity with them was just so incredibly draining -- and that was before they tried using something like Force Drain! It was absurd.

The Zeltron giggled as she relaxed against the Captain's shoulder as he feigned abandonment. "No, silly, watching sunsets is totally better with partners. Just not crowds." Seeing one alone was pretty nice too, but still better with company. They could cozy up together and just listen to the waves even after the sun had gone over the horizon. Kind of like them watching hyperspace -- though the colors weren't nearly as warm and the air was a touch dry from all the purifiers.

A quick blink followed the return of normal space. Her brows rose as a call out to the Captain was broadcast. Cali hummed as she felt him stir, so she lifted herself off him and watched as he stood. "Sure!" Routine it may be, but he'd probably like to be seen in his element, right? He had offered. Cali got to her feet and smiled up at him. "Where to, Cap'ain?"

Offering a hand to help the woman to her feet was a simple enough decision. So a quick walk down to the lift and up to the bridge.

“Captain on the bridge!”

She’s with me. Many of those who looked on no doubt realized that Cali was our passenger. So I offered her my chair as I chose to stand, I always do anyway when coming into port. The crew moved efficiently, their familiarity with the routine evident. I remained standing, watching the viewport as the station grew closer, its lights flickering in the vastness of space. When we were finally moored, all four ships in place, shutdown procedures began.

Open a channel to all ships.

‘Channel open, sir.’

This is Captain Pouihl. All hands are awarded a four day pass. Then normal shifts for three days while refits are taking place. Enjoy your time off.

As everyone went about their “port duties” until the port crews would start to come in, I whispered to my guest. I have to wait for the Dockmaster to take operational control. If you cannot wait, I am sure you have somewhere you need to be, I can arrange escort. Funny, I actually hoped she wanted to wait.

Cali was all smiles and waves as she accompanied the Captain to the bridge. So, in short, her usual. Bright, wide eyes peered around the bridge the second the door opened. A quick peek at the man followed suit as he clarified she was with him. Had it been possible they would have stopped her?

Rojuhr Pouihl Rojuhr Pouihl was kind enough to even offer her a seat. Looked like his seat, actually. Cali blinked, but then settled her rump into the chair at his direction. She was polite about this sort of thing, but if he was offering of course she'd accept! It was fun to be in the center of the action. Even if it was just docking.

As the crew worked, their Zeltron observer didn't make any noise. A rarity for the Pink One not to be chatting away, but everyone was super focused. Usually her Cuties handled all this and it looked a lot easier, but they were droids -- lots of calculations per second, insane reaction speed, and stuff. That's why Cali left docking to them, but most people didn't like droids doing big things like that.

At last the Captain announced shoreleave while refits occurred. If she hadn't offered to show him around, Cali would have probably found a way to sneak on board to poke around during refits. She was quite good going where people didn't want her. Not because she had a problem with authority, but because Cali's curiosity was just that strong.

Another smile was directed up at the Captain as he whispered to her. "I'm good. I enjoy being here," she replied softly, but with her usual cheer.

Well okay!
It was about another ten minutes that had gone by before the Dockmaster strolled onto the bridge. I know this fool, he was one who felt he deserved to be out in the field, but had a horrible service record so he was a “big fish in a tiny pond”. It was alright though as I outrank him.

I would often be exasperated with silly glances to Cali when he was not looking as he seemed to take his sweet time going through the final procedure of entering dry dock. I couldn't help but roll my eyes as he fumbled through the checklist. Cali, ever patient, kept her composure, but I could sense her frustration matching mine. The Dockmaster's inefficiency was a glaring reminder of why he was stuck in his current role. “Alright, I officially take command of this vessel.”

Let the baby have his bottle. I was just wanting to leave. To your destination, Ma’am. Polite code for “Let’s get the (censored) out of here.”

s5F70bs.png

Cali stared wide eyed with a smile the entire time. Every now and again her head would cock to the side, or she would rock slowly side to side. Sometimes when Rojuhr Pouihl Rojuhr Pouihl looked her way she'd scrunch up her face with an even bigger smile. Sometimes people needed a smile to get through times. This was one Zeltron that was always stocked up on smiles.

Once the formalities were over, Cali hopped out of the seat. She even gave the Dockmaster a little wave as they left. Rojuhr was eager to leave, but Cali liked to give everyone a warm hug -- even if it wasn't literally. She'd hug a Sith if they stop trying to stab her.

"Alright! Let's go to the market first! See the people. The sights of the city. Then we'll get away from it all with that cozy sunset," the Zeltron cried with a giggle. They had time after all. Loads of time and lots to do.

"So," Cali asked as they walked, "got any hobbies? Favorite clothes?"

The market it is!
It was to do or feel like, but I could not get off of this ship fast enough. It was not a date, was it? However I felt like I needed to take her hand in mine. Hadn’t felt like this in awhile, I almost feel like I am cheating on Alees, but she would want me to move on, it’s been thirty years since she died.

I know there is a Bistro that my godson keeps nagging me to try, could we go there? Fact is, I was hungry, hadn’t eaten in two days because of the flu outbreak that had to be quelled. All part of the job. Hobbies? I like spending money and taking in cultures. It started as a work trait, but really, I just like people watching.

s5F70bs.png

Cali looked over at Rojuhr Pouihl Rojuhr Pouihl as he asked about a bistro. "Really?" Which one could it be? "Of course. Never hurts to have a little something to eat." Hopefully they wouldn't have oversized servings though. She always felt a little guilty when so much was left untouched. Then again, she did eat more than most Zeltron; but the amount of athletics she practiced or machinery she crawled through or around burnt plenty of calories. "Do you know which one or where?"

"You like spending money?"
Cali giggled. "Does that mean you want to get a new outfit? The first time I lived on Naboo I had like a super large closet full of all kinds of outfits." It had always been fun to find a new one from another planet to add to the collection. There were also some cuties that'd lived in her place, especially while she was gone, that contributed to the collection.

A soft hum followed. "Taking in cultures is a hobby, though it is a bit vague, you know? Do you like walking around and looking at buildings? Exploring cultural centers like museums? Or do you hang out a lot at public squares or cafes? Wait," Cali blinked, "you don't spend all your time at arenas or fight clubs do you?"

All I know is that their outdoor seating has pink umbrellas.
I felt a little devilish with the thought in my head, so with an eyebrow and a smirk, I made a joke. You’ll match!

Asking me about if I wanted to buy clothes brought out a laugh. Sure, I don’t mind, I usually like a nice suit. She clearly was not out for money(she could probably buy “The Alpha” just on her pocket change, but she’s probably just trying to loosen me up, I get it. Of course her questioning of what I like to do made me a little more supercilious. ”Yes”. Hopefully she would see I was kidding. I really do just like “people watching” so I am good wherever. I’m not hard to please.

s5F70bs.png

Cali's face split into a large grin at Rojuhr Pouihl Rojuhr Pouihl getting into being off duty with a joke. "I love this place already."

"Well it's not about pleasing, really, but doing things you like, you know? Not something you have to do. Something you want to do! And there's a lot to do out there."
The Zeltron bounced ahead and then turned to peer up at him with wide eyes. "Did you know there are people that surf planetary rings? Like, not the ones that have giant rocks, but there's a few with this insanely finely pulverized rock that it almost behaves like a fluid."

"Course,"
she resumed their trek, "you gotta wear radiation-proof suits for that kind of thing, but people really do do it. Really gotta want to do something like that." She wouldn't judge anyone, but it was definitely a weird 'sport' to get excited about. Now, those rings alone were worth some excitement, but surfing them?

"Alright. Bistro first then market! Or market first? How hungry are ya?"

She wasn’t wrong, it’s about doing what you like, but when you have only been on base, or on deployment since coming to Naboo, it’s difficult. Well, I guess I’m just boring then. The wording may have been depressing and/or self-deprecating, but a shrug and a grin should remedy that. I mean, I clearly was not serious.

Surfing the rings sounds “heavenly”. Yeah, that was a bad joke. Now, let’s eat. The Bistro was in sight, and hopefully, to draw out a laugh, I slowly morphed to match the color of the umbrellas.

Just to see if she would pick up on it.

s5F70bs.png

Cali swayed side to side as she bounced down the street. She turned to look over at Rojuhr and tipped her fluffy, pink head to the side. "Yeah!" She threw a hand up into the air. "Be colorful and free!" A big grin split her face.

Few people could just change how they looked, and fewer still could change to be vibrant and colorful. Usually it was all about blending in for survival and other things. Rojuhr Pouihl Rojuhr Pouihl could do it for fun and that was cool.

She reached out to take his hand to draw him on toward the bistro.

The spirit is freed! Heh, I guess she is having fun, that’s cool. I was beginning to as well, the “grabbyhand” wasn’t something I was ready for but it was cool. It’s not her, I just hadn’t had that feeling in a long time, I guess. Hungry as “insert your own expletive”. I let her pick the tableI’ll admit, it was nice to have some company for a change. The night began easily enough, so far to this point, we shared stories, laughs, and good food. It felt like a small escape from the usual grind, a moment to just enjoy the present.

I have a feeling this place is going to be great. When the server came and took our drink order, I morphed out of “pinky” and back to normal.. I want to see her reaction. I’m not normally one for pranks, but what can I say? The company was inspiring.

s5F70bs.png

Cali hurried forward, but only as fast as it was obvious Rojuhr was prepared to go himself. That he looked different hardly registered. What would people think? She didn't know, they didn't know any different so they wouldn't think anything! Just two cuties getting something to eat and drink on Naboo. As they should.

"The best," the Zeltron agreed readily. Why so confident? Just how a Pink One rolled. Then the server stopped by and the duo placed an order. Cali was just as warm and bubbly with them as she'd been with Rojuhr and his crew. She even made sure to get their name and give them a big smile.

Suddenly her companion decided to drop their ruse, and then... Cali just smiled as she listened to his reason. "You'll have to insist the drink is for you, so they know." Easy for guests to change in a bustling restaurant, so a shapeshifter might slip by unnoticed at first. Unless they kept changing. Even preconceptions about Zeltrons would only excuse new faces showing up so frequently for so long.

"That'd be a really useful ability in a theater group. If you don't mind me asking, like, how much can change? Clothes and stuff?"

She was right, the server was freaking out, so I needed to shift in and out to prove it was me, even leave my card with him until we were done to ease her mind. I felt bad for the girl judging by the look she was giving, but still worth it.

Her question was a fair one. I can morph skin texture, but that is about it. Can’t do color. . To show her, I shifted again to a mirror image of her. So anyone who would look, would see “twins”, except one who was clearly taller than the other. I didn’t hold it, only long enough to prove a point. Then I shifted to be a Rodian, a Trandoshan, even a thin Hutt. The patrons were watching the sideshow. That is until I stared them off with a grin. Funny you should mention “theater”. My cousin is a stunt actor in holo-films.

s5F70bs.png

Cali tried to laugh and reassure their server that everything was alright, and it was normal to be flexible. Like putting on makeup. Without the makeup. Same person, different look. The Zeltron couldn't help but try and reassure them because stress and anxiety wasn't something her kind enjoyed. Cali certainly didn't want to be indirectly responsible for it either.

Wide, bright eyes stared back at her twin. "You make a cute Zeltron." That was probably self-serving, but true nonetheless. Rojuhr probably didn't have the pheromones though so other Pinks would probably figure things out before the rest. Well, Cali didn't judge people because they didn't vibe on their level.

Then Rojuhr started changing forms and drew some looks. "That's amazing! Your cousin's in holo-films? I totally see why. Though," Cali leaned in a little closer and lowered her voice, "you probably shouldn't draw too much attention in public. I totally think it's awesome, and so do most others here, but you know... some people in the galaxy are just all kinds. Especially people obsessed with power. Not that you should hide it," she added with a burst of energy, "totally nothing to be ashamed of. I mean look at me, I'm a cutey and I don't hide it. But we both just gotten make sure no one gets strange ideas."

I wasn’t done.

The proverbial devil inside remember it gave the server one last freakout session as she was looking at herself when she returned, only to watch him morph back into the form I walked in as. After moments of reassuring that I was done and apologizing for freaking her out, I promised to behave, and even gave her a tip for “being a good sport” promising that was not the total of the gratis she would receive from them.

Her might have been self-serving, but it was cute. I make a “cute” a lot of things. A wink and a grin later, she made a good point. Then again. This is why I normally stay on duty. Then again, I would take it as a compliment if I were you. You are bringing me out of my shell right now. I don’t want to bring too much attention, sure, because it could endanger her, or others here… but… meh…
