Your New Faction Owner!

It seems unlike [member="Darth Pyrrhus"], I won't be getting an introduction by the former Faction Owner... Thanks to [member=Darth Pyrrhus].

For those of you who aren't sure who I really am, well, that's an easy explanation. My name is Sam, and I've been writing on this board for a little over a year now. I first started out writing a somewhat popular Witch character named Anja, who suddenly found herself in-charge of a new Major Faction -- The Primeval -- which took Anja and I on a wild ride into the ups and downs of running a faction, and meeting so many wonderful writers along the way.

I can't say I'm as experienced as some of you, nor as talented in writing, or as active either. That is why I made sure to put around me those of you who care greatly for this faction, and will do an exceptional job in guiding it forward so that everyone can share it together.

My very first act as Faction Owner was to promote [member="Sinistra"] to Faction Admin. Aside from garnering nearly as many votes as I did during the election, she's also been a solid member of the One Sith and someone who -- proven in votes -- is trusted to lead the faction just as much as I am. I'm sure she'll speak for herself in a reply to this announcement about what she has planned for the faction and its many members.

Then I took the liberty of promoting one of the most veteran members of the faction, and someone who has contributed in every single One Sith invasion and major movement since its inception. [member="Darth Carach"]. Despite being a bit slow at times, his dedication to the One Sith itself is something I'll never have truly understood. Even when he was leading the Fringe or helping the Primeval, Techno Union, and even Mandalorians; Carach has always found time for the One Sith and has made it a personal commitment to put his full attention to it as a Faction Admin.

[member="Isamu Baelor"] who most likely would've won the Faction Owner spot, had he not dropped out of the race, has agreed to my request and will be staying on as Faction Admin! I am looking forward to seeing much of the same from him, and possibly more as we move forward in this together. [member="Darth Azurea"] has sadly stepped down as Faction Moderator, but promised to remain active within the faction, and [member="Darth Ophidia"] is still a Faction Admin as well.

Last but most certainly not least, I am very grateful to be trusted with this responsibility. So thank you to everyone, I look forward to roleplaying with you all in our shared future together. I like to lead factions with a single philosophy...

Strong characters makes a strong faction.

I believe that we need to be transparent, cooperative, and more importantly laid back so we can all have fun. I want to write with each and every one of you when I can, and participate in telling stories that ignite the sparks to set our muses ablaze. So I'd like everyone to take the chance to use this announcement as not just a place to say, "Hey congratulations!" But rather a place to offer your own thoughts.

Hey all!

I was thrilled to accept Catalys' offer to help lead the OS. My focus is training.

We have lots of new people who come in, can't find a master, are stuck waiting for someone to lead a class or are unsure of where they should go or what they should be doing IC and OOC. It's very confusing and disjointed considering a lot of them are new to the boards as well.

I want to bring the idea of group training some structure OOC, with a schedule of threads continuously throughout the year, as well as link it all IC to tie into preparing new arrivals for the front lines and faction threads. Training threads will be for both FU and NFU's alike.

I look forward to sharing some of my ideas and working with y'all to get a good solid experience going for newcomers, NFUs and FUs alike to help them find a place in the OS!

I literally (re)joined this faction just for this post. So don't count on my IC involvement. I am stacked elsewhere, much to my regret. But I left the OS, or rather decided it didn't fit my character, for a number of reasons. OOCly I love many of the people in this faction. ICly, it lacked a lot for me and my goals for Ostanes/Uriel. Still does. But I love what I read here, and wanted to comment, so here I am.

[member="Catalys Maijora"] - Congrats. I admired what you did with the Primeval, even if it wasn't fitting for any of my characters ICly. Frankly, with the shuffle of FO being so rapid (albeit understandably so) here, I and a few others I know were eyeing black suits and preparing to say farewell and so long to this mighty group. That might still happen, but with you at the helm, grow and return to glory or crash and (finally) die, the journey there will be interesting and well-written, I am sure.

[member="Sinistra"] - What you are describing, or the lack thereof that you are describing, is why my time in this faction was very, very brief and not terribly productive. I think you have a sizable bit of things to sort through in order to keep the mouthful you are eyeing the right portion-size for your teeth... But you come with a heckuva crowd backing you, and a lot of good ideas and talk, so I look forward to seeing it play out, even if just from the outside looking in. Do keep in mind not everyone in the One Sith is combat-oriented, or even any good in a fight, but that they can still heavily influence said battle. Just as a personal suggestion.

Seriously though, I'm not sure what I would want from this faction. I'm more of an outsider really, but I used to be more involved. But I hope to see good things, as I know you will make happen! Take your lessons learned from the Primeval, and bring them here!
