Nessus Merchant Ship Crashsite

The acrid scent of burnt plastic and chemical smoke would cover a thick cloud over the surroundings. Electrical fires would crackle, sending flames licking across the bent portions of durasteel bulkheads and hissing steam vents. The deep, groaning sounds of hundreds of kilograms of metal held barely together by the Nessus's ship frame's remnants sent a forewarning of impending danger and collapse.
Scattered and still glowing pieces of debris littered the dunes in an upside-down vee. On the ground was the dark trench where the merchant ship had crashed onto the desert, leaving a fiery path of wreckage, burnt bodies, and large chunk sections of the ship that had split into three sections. Inside, the blood-splattered corridors, scorched blaster marks, and dead bodies of the crew littered with blaster bolts painted a seemingly insidious story.
All around, the cries and groans calling for 'help' from the survivors would echo. Some in their death throes while others fought against the onslaught of approaching death, caught and trapped under the wreckage's weight that prevented them from escaping.
Bright embers of fiery debris would streak across the sky, a few distinguishable as emergency escape pods. The crash had sent a thick mass of dust, sand, and debris that could be seen for several kilometers. With the twin suns high overhead and this far into the desert, it could be several hours before any help might arrive.
Out of Character: This is a Media-Res type of roleplay, where we are thrown into the crazy and then use flashback, dialogue, or the description of the past events to see what occurred. Feel free to hop in and no need to wait for others. You can group up or interact on your own. We will figure out what happened to cause the crash as we roleplay and have fun.
