You May Yet Have Some Potential [James Maar]

| [member="James Maar"] |

The document on James Maar was intriguing. His Mother was a spy that had served the One Sith, long before it's rise to supremacy over Coruscant and the galaxy, when it was yet a fledgling cult hiding on the Deep Core world of Prakith. His Father had also worked for the One Sith, but in a lesser manor to his wife. The document did not state what had happened to either of them. Darth Ayra presumed that for some unknown reason, that part of their lives had been erased from history. Perhaps the boy would know.

The meeting space was the Sith Temple, once the home of the Jedi Order on Coruscant before the One Sith had taken it and their beloved capital away from them. The Sith Lord dressed in her Sith robe and it's hood had been raised above her head. She was waiting for the boy, James Maar, to meet with her at the entrance to the temple, to which he had been summoned. To him, the other students and the One Sith in general, she was only known by her name of Darth Ayra. Her identity as Alicia Drey, which she wore in the public away from Coruscant and the One Sith, on places such as Chandrila, was unknown to them.

Suffice to say, James would only know her as Darth Ayra. For now.

When James had awoken this morning, he put on the weird black robe that had been given to him upon his arrival at the academy. After he dressed, he walked out of his small room and met up with a guide that looked like he was having a terrible day. The guide said to James "Today you will be meeting with Darth Ayra at the entrance of the temple. I do not know why so do not ask. Now if you will, follow me, and I will take you there." James followed without saying a word. He felt out of place. He watched other people walk past as he followed the guide. James noticed that he was one of the youngest apprentices in the academy. He also noticed that the other people that lived in the temple could do incredible things, like lift large objects with their minds. James only had ever picked up a few rocks. He had also never fought before, but it seems that the others were experts at fighting. His thoughts were abruptly interrupted by the guide. "This is your destination." said the guide as he quickly walked away. James wasn't paying attention to where he had been going, and because of that he had no idea they arrived. Now that he was there he was faced with the dilemma of finding this "Darth Ayra", so James began asking around for her. He approached a hooded woman and said "Excuse me ma'am, are you Darth Ayra?"

The surface of Coruscant was a light show at night. Orange hues littered the landscape, all of which was a spectacle one could observe from the top flights of the stairs leading up to the Sith Temple. Darth Ayra's yellow eyes averted from it to the boy who had quietly made his way forward. She looked at James for a moment, before lifting her gaze to the messenger, who had sent for him. "You can leave us now."

"Yes my Lord," replied the messenger. Turning to leave, Ayra's gaze fell back away from the woman back to James. Her hands lifted to the cowl of her robe and lowered it, revealing her facial features. She gave him a small smile and said. "Yes, I am Darth Ayra. You are James, yes?"

James looked into her eyes, and smiled. She looked like a nice enough person. All of the people he had seen here were fairly mean to him. He hoped that that trend would end. When Cain replied to Darth Ayra, he spoke softly "Yes I'm James. It's nice to meet you." He then proceeded to bow. James may be young, but he had been raised properly, and as such, he was very polite. He was anxious to see why he had been called here.

Ayra nodded, her smile disappearing back into the somber gaze she normally adopted. "Come. Let's head back inside, where it is warm." The Sith Lord turned away from the city scape and back into the Sith Temple, guiding James with her hand behind his neck. When he gathered that he was supposed to walk with her, her hand fell back to her side. She spoke as they walked along the temple's hallway.

"It is nice to meet you as well James. I sent for you because I am taking an interest in the children that live here in this temple. From now on, I will be your parental guardian and mentor, until you grow up. For now, as you live here, I will be raising you so that when you are old enough, you will be ready to join the One Sith."

"You are very important to us James. You see, the One Sith are like a family. We are all equals, who are working towards the same goals, some of which you won't understand right now. But I promise when you are old enough I will let you in on what those goals are. You have a gift James, one that has to be nurtured and raised in the right and proper way. As we spend the next few years of our lives together, you will come to understand the gift that is the dark side of the Force and what it is to be a member of the One Sith."

"Do you have any questions?" she asked, her gaze dropping down to the boy, to listen.

Any questions? James had so many, in fact too many. He didn't know where to start. He mostly wanted to know what was so special about his "gift" but he also wanted to know more about Darth Ayra. "I was just wondering, what is it about my ability that makes me so special. It's not all that big of a deal." James looked down at his feet as he said this. Afterward he looked back up at Darth Ayra. He thought that asking her personally questions might be a bad decision, so he stayed away from the topic.

"There was a time, when I didn't understand the gift that I possess. It wasn't until my master found me that I learned more about it and now I use it to better the galaxy as a whole. Your gift is special, much like mine is. Wouldn't you like to help people with it, James?" They turned from the hallway and into another. Hooded Sith walked by, some lifting their gaze to watch them as they walked. Darth Ayra paid them no attention, her gaze on the little boy who walked beside her.

James had pondered the question for a second. If he could help others with his gift, then of course he would do it. Now he started to see why he was there. To learn how to help. "Yes, I would like to help others with my powers." James was still sad about leaving his home, his friends, and everything he knew behind, but now he felt slightly better because he knew that he would be able to help people soon. James, with a more cheerful attitude now, began to smile.

"This is good James. On Coruscant, there used to be an evil people called the Jedi. They used to rule over Coruscant and all of the people who live here, and they did it for a government called the Galactic Republic. Then we came to Coruscant James. We freed it from the bane of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. We made it good again."

"Where do you come from James? Were you born here, on Coruscant?"

They continued walking down the hallway, talking.

James had been to Coruscant before, but he didn't here. James' father could have lived in the higher levels of Coruscant, but wanted to keep his family away from the corruption of the city. "I grew up on Alderaan. My father was a key part in helping to take it from the republic." James was just stating a fact. He despised his father, so he would never brag about anything he did.

Ayra gave James a smile. "Your father did a great thing, for a worthy cause. How did you come to be in the Sith Order?"
