You don't survive in the Outer Rim by being stupid…

Corvus was a little weary as she returned to Anchorhead. But before she returned to her ship, she decided to take one more visit to Junix’s Joint. So she returned her eopie to the handler she’d hired him from and with saber and a brand new shoto swinging from her belt, she wandered into the bar.

At least they’d fixed the light, she felt a bit bad about that but then the bartender immediately recognised her and filled a glass with blue milk. She must have left a decent enough impression as the drinking vessel was almost clean.

As she paid for the drink, for she wouldn’t accept his kind offer to have it on the house, she glanced around the room. Funny how the blaster marks now blended in with the other hundred or so that lined the walls. The young ruffians weren’t here, which was a blessing. So she downed the milk and checked for any top lip residue before heading back to her ship.

As she entered it, her protocol droid came scuttling up to her but she waved him away. ”I’m tired and dirty and want to get into hyperspace as quickly as possible so I can grab a shower and get changed. Whatever you need me for can wait, OK Corax?”

And so she duly finished the pre-flight checks, took off, punched in the hyperspace coordinates to take her back to Ossus and allowed the astrodroid to take over. For now she just wanted a shower, clean clothes and some ryshcate.

Alberis had been kick from the bar earlier that evening. Evidently, it wasn't a good idea to do shots with a Cathar woman who insisted she could get drunk. It wasn't that Al was a bad drunk just even more friendly towards those around him, and the bartender didn't much care for his 'I'm a bartender too' gag as Al knocked over a few glasses while he face plant on the other side of the bar."You're only an alcoholic if you leave the bar with a bottle in your hand!" He had told the bartender as he was tossed head long into the street. Not a moment to go down in history for the Zeltron, but a good story for his next bar crawl.

He wandered the streets for a bit trying his best to walk a straight line so that people didn't get the idea to jump the drunk. Luckily seeing two of someone didn't mess with his aim too bad. Still it wasn't a good idea for him to be walking around like such. Just because he was capable of fighting off muggers didn't mean he wanted to. He kept walking until he found his way to one of the hangars. Al had a fascination for ships and speeder, so much so that it occasionally got him in trouble. During his hangar stroll, he found himself in front of a rather beautiful ship one that he hadn't seen before. He had to look inside. No question about it. He stumbled in to the ships panel for the hatch and watched in awe as his little blunder opened the ship to him. Alberis will have to let the owner know of how easy he got in, but for now he strolled himself on in meet a startled little protocol droid who wasn't to happy to see this pink intruder. Al quickly spun the droid around and opened it's back panel. Before the protocol droid could protest, he quickly hit it's reset." "Doun worry. in ten minish, you'll be righ ash rain," Alberis mumbled with a smile as he maneuvered the droid out of his way as he stumbled to the cockpit. He sat in the pilots chair as he admired all the fancy buttons and whistles careful not to touch. He wasn't even a good pilot sober. He quickly got up and head to the next room, a cabin with a bed. Well, he was sleepy. It wasn't a good idea, but giving his current state of mind he didn't care. He laid down and quickly dozed off.

He awoke a bit later. How much later he had no idea, only now he wasn't as drunk but starting to get hung over. He didn't even realize the ship was no longer in the hangar. Alberis moved on to the next room noticing the beautiful lavatory including a shower. He saw it as one of the seven wonders of the galaxy. His faced lit up as he moved in and started the shower for himself sticking his hair under before stripping down and stepping in. He looked down at all of the bath products unsure which one to use. In the back of his mind, he wondered who could even need so many.

Corvus headed towards the shower room. She was aware of the sound of running water and ordered if Corax had set the room up for her. He may be becoming eccentric already but his electronic heart was in the right place.

She unclipped her belt and sabers and placed them carefully in her room before choosing some clean robes and heading for that well earned shower. She had sand in places that didn't bear thinking about and all she wanted was to wash her hair, feel clean and relax with a drop of Corellian finest.

The shower room was really steamy, clearly Corax had turned it on full blast. Now what would have happened if she wasn't a Jedi doesn't bear thinking about. Fortunately she was only stripped as far as her underwear when she was aware of the presence of someone else in the room. And not just in the room, in her shower. She looked around and wondered how she hadn't spotted the pile of dirty clothes before. A quick glance said they weren't Jedi robes. Nor did they belong to her good friend Kana, who often 'borrowed' the ship. From the smell of them they belonged to either a vagrant or a drunk. Or both.

And so, coughing loudly, she decided to be vocal with her uninvited guest. "I suggest you grab a towel and explain what you're doing in my shower."

Alberis nearly slipped and fell when he heard the cough from the other side of the curtain followed by the lovely voice. At least it wasn't a deep manly voice. He imagined if he was in some dude's shower, they would just grab him out of it and toss him naked into the street. Should he answer her or attempt to run like hell? Or invite her to join him? The last was probably the worse idea. She could be a 9 foot tall Togorian warrior princess who will rip his arms off for even suggesting such a thing. He paused then slowly turned the water off. The atmosphere in the room was bizzarely calm, he could tell she wasn't completely freaked out by him being there. He could always lie. Hope his head out and say 'this isn't my ship.' His pink arm slipped out and grabbing at air a few times before grabbing the towel off the rack and patting himself down a little. If he wasn't under the influence like he was, he might have been able to use his psychometry to see the history of the towel and gage her physique and what she looked like.

He tied the towel around his waist as he noticed the steam was finally starting to fan out. In the back of his mind he still thought to run. He was naked on some woman's ship that wasn't going to look good to the local authorities. His only chance is to use his Zeltron charm and pheromones to convince her to let him grab his clothes and walk of the ship with at least a little bit of pride and dignity. He moved the curtain slowly and stepped making sure to hold his towel. He kept his eyes lowered until he stood firmly on the bath mat then he looked up at her. Her face being just like her voice he thinks before holding himself in a confidant stance and giving a half bow.

"My lady," he raises from his bow. "Pardon me for my intrusion. You see, I'm a drifter, and lover of fine ships. It's quite an honor for me to be on such a beautiful vessel with such a beautiful woman. I mean you no harm. If you will allow me, I will gather my things and be on my way."

She waited. And then she waited some more. She could almost hear the gears turning as her unexpected visitor finally got around to turning the shower off.

Then she saw the hand grope for the towel and after a couple of failures she grabbed it and pressed it into his palm on his third attempt. The colour of his skin gave her a clue as to his identity. Her first thought was of a Sith Lord she knew but as the intruder was under nine feet tall, she knew it wasn’t her. And the hairy arm suggested it was a ‘he.’

Of course, being a Zeltron she was expecting some ultra charm offensive – a pity she was a natural empath who closed down all emotions for no other reason than self-protection. If not, she’d be overwhelmed by the tials and tribulations of everyone around her.

He finally stepped out of the shower and bowed. She responded in part by instinct but also through common courtesy. There could…just could be a logical explanation.

She kept her face level. There was humour in the situation but she wasn’t going to let him of that easy. Plus, she was standing in front of him in her underwear, a thought that only just struck her.

She listened some more and finally raised a hand. “OK, apology accepted. I’ll step out for a second and you can get dressed. Then we chat. Then I explain to you that we’re in hyperspace – but if you still want to get off, I won’t stand in your way.” Still suppressing a smile she quickly walked back to her room and changed into clean clothes before clipping her sabers back to her belt.

As she did, Corax entered her room. “Sorry Master, but I did try to warn you…”

He kept his eyes glued to hers. Which was hard for him since from the corner of his eye he could see she wasn't fully dressed either. The thought of asking her to join him in the shower crossed his mind again but he quickly wacked it way. He didn't want to add another thing to explain to her or startle her like that. Oddly enough he has been in worse situations while naked. Just keep smiling and stay calm and happy. He watched her handed raised. His eyes darted from her eyes to her hand and then back to her eyes before they could start wandering. Such a gentle voice for such a stoic woman.

"....we’re in hyperspace – but if you still want to get off, I won’t stand in your way.” He could see her lips curl slightly. he smiled slightly as she left. Did she just make a joke? He laughed to himself lightly. Then did an arm pump and danced a little bit at his mini victory. He congratulated his pheromones. They probably did the most to help him. He took his towel and patted himself off before pulling his pants back on. He sniffed at his shirt. It smelt rancid. Must be from spilling that Falleen Fire Whiskey on it. He tossed it onto his shoulder rather than put it back on. He pulled his boots on then gathered the rest of his gear. He walked back to where she was and stood in door way. His eye catch a glimpse of her lightsabers. He looks at her face and then smiles, "Shower is yours. I'll just be in the cockpit pushing buttons." He moved from in front of the door and then popped his head back so she could see him again. He grinned at her, "Joking. I will behave myself now."

He was a trier, she’d give him that. He was probably a charmer too, especially with all of those pheromones at his disposal. He was just lucky she was tired and they were in hyperspace. For a split-second she wondered if she could simply jettison him now – but then she remembered she was a Jedi. Goodness, she must be tired to even contemplate it.

”Follow me,” she said and led him to the cockpit. She simply stood there for a few seconds until he noticed the view. Then nodding, she led him back to the seating area and gestured to a seat before taking one herself. ”I suspect I have your attention now.” She was aware of the aroma of cheap whiskey and his bare chest. She might have to take back what she previously thought about him being a charmer.

”Now, care to tell me exactly ho you ended up on my ship? And don’t worry about skipping any of the details, I’ve got plenty of time.” And then the smile returned. Not cruel and not playful. Somewhere inbetween…

Alberis grinned widely as she beckoned him to the cockpit. He didn't even have to use his pheromones that time. "I'm surprised some one like you is traveling alone. Usually you guys travel in twos. Don't get me wrong, I rather like this. I don't usually wander onto the ships of beautiful..." She stopped and paused as she did he watched her for a second studying her before looking up to see the view from the cockpit. The site was mesmerizing. He didn't even notice her move to the seating area. He tossed his shirt aside and sat down in front of her. He could fear the atmosphere change. She did a good job of hiding her outward emotion, but he could still feel her emotions. He could tell the games were over, and that she was serious however hey could tell she was concerned. Not just for herself but for him in away. Probably just a natural felling for a Jedi. He took in her words savoring each one by repeating them in his head. When she smiled at him, he felt a pain in his stomach, and shook his head.

"You remind me of my wife... Well Ex-wife... She was a strong Zabrak woman," he leaned forward in his chair making a fist with one hand and resting his other hand on his knee. He spoke with out joking for once."Stoic. She pretending like she was a relentless warrior, but in truth she was so gentle. Especially her voice. She could be cussing and screaming at me then when she finishes all I can say is 'Speak again sweet angel.' Her face would turn read and she would be two seconds from cracking my skull."

Corvus listened. He was a sweet-talker all right, even without the pheromones. Guys like that can be difficult to talk to. Be nice to them and they think you wanted to go to bed with them. Don’t be nice to them and they think you’re playing hard to get because you want to go to bed with them.

She listened to the banter however, and once he’d appraised their actual situation she felt she got more of his attention.

”Cracking your skull? I like her already.” She smiled and softly shook her head simultaneously. ”We’re heading for Ossus. Home of the Jedi Order and the recently reformed Jedi Council. If I’m not doing missions, that’s where I tend to teach. It’s not got the greatest public transport infrastructure. We tend to get only scheduled visitors, it’s not a pick-up point for general travellers. But if we need to, we can take you to a planet of your choice. I’m sure I can fix that one for you.”

“But you haven’t explained why you’re actually on my ship and why not your own. So let’s try again.”
She smiled politely and her demeanour said she’d keep asking until he answered her.

She held up a hand before he got the chance to speak. ”And in case you want to know, yes, I’ve been to Zeltros, and yes, I recently fought the One Sith there and if you want proof here it is.” She pointed to the scar that ran parallel to her bottom lip, half-way towards her chin. ”Sith Lords never seem to want to come quietly. She was a Zeltron. I suspect she’d love to meet you. All nine-feet of her.”
