Blaster fire erupted in the alleyways of the city as Judah ran toward his ship. The job he had been hired to do went south almost from the first moment he had arrived to take it. It was supposed to have been simple. The rogue Jedi was to escort and oversee an artifact transport as the exhibit was moving from one museum to another. Sure the cargo contained items which were of value to those involved in the black market world of relics and antiques, but the job still supposed to have been easy. There was no way Judah could have expected three different crews being hired to ambush the transport by three different benefactors.
The path to his ship was cut off, and no doubt his ship was being watched by now. He had to lay low and find another way off the planet, with the cargo in tow.
He sighed after ducking into a crowded hostile and hiding among the crowd. Judah was an experienced shadow and knew how to get lost in a crowd. It had been a while since he had to use his old methods of disappearing, but it was second nature to him.
Thumbing through his contacts, Judah hovered over one name. They had always called each other in a pinch, but as Judah was about to press the name for a call he thought better of it. There was another person who would be better, and a face he desperately found himself missing more than he thought he might. They had parted ways a couple of weeks prior, and where he might have moved on to reality, Judah still found he could not get his time with Abaigeal out of his mind.
He scrolled up to her info and sent a quick SOS. He didn't know where she was, or if she could help, but Judah knew how to lay low until he heard from her and could arrange a meet.
"In trouble. Missions went south. Denon."
All he could do now was wait.

"Rusty, log in co-ordinates for Tython", she was answered by a series of excited beeps and hear whirl of the ship as it prepared to jump. It had been years since Abaigeal visited the place, it was her birth planet and so many good memories lived their. It had been a strange childhood for sure living under the sands of the Silent Desert, so much stress had been placed on her safety that her parents had kept their existence a secret for a while. Until she was a few years older and it was time for her to enter the Temple to train as a Jedi. Tython Temple was her first schooling, Master Rasu Gan had taken her as apprentice. Like a lot of things in the galaxy, and the movement of time, people she knew had vanished or worse. There were not many left that she knew from those days, well.. there was one. A smile graced her lips as she thought about Judah Lesan Judah Lesan .

It was this meeting with him, that had Abaigeal recalling old times, she had not thought about Tython or the Silvers in years, mostly because she had been busy with her own projects and the last time she had been among them, it did not go according to her desire. She just did not feel like she fit in any more, and the darkside was present in her, that was something she simply could not escape from. Abaigeal had no choice in that matter.

She was about to jump when the comms beeped. No visual message just a distress call. "In trouble. Missions went south. Denon." Blinked over and over on the screen.

Her wandering thoughts vanished in an instant, especially when she realised the author of the message. "Rusty change course for Denon". Although Denon was not that far away, it would still take time to get there, "And push it". The Crossfire Hurrican, an old A-Wing moderifed, her mother's old ship, jumped into lightspeed.

OOOOOOOO
Lights over Denon, it was not much different to Coruscant, the skylanes threading in the darkness and the stars vanished in the bleed of light from all the city. It was a bit more relaxed here, although she had to go through the check points, there were not as many questions to be answered about her arrival. "Just visiting family", worked well enough. She was at the main starport, topside, and soon entered into the street. He could be anywhere, try as she might she could not locate him through the force, there was simply too much 'interference' from so many beings and her presence felt as well. Abaigeal did not need to keep guarded here, so she left her presence go out in all directions hoping he might sense it. But that was a long shot.

"Have arrived .. Where are you?", she sent the message through to his comms as she stood just outside the starport entrance.

Minutes became hours as Judah quietly waited any kind of sign that Abaigeal had gotten his message. It was a long shot, it wasn't like the Jedi Master was the best at keeping in touch with people anyway. Part of him felt guilty that this was one of a handful of messages he had sent since their tryst. He cared, and Judah had certainly enjoyed the numerous times they found themselves together in intimate ways. Judah was simply horrid about staying in contact. Likely he was used to being alone, and finding himself in whatever he was in with Abaigeal was going to require a shift from him.

His comm chimed. Judah looked at the message.

Quickly his fingers began to type, keeping his force signature dampened, and staying to the shadows as he was taught. How much of that life did Abbie remember? Judah was about to find out.

"New Beginnings Hostel. The shadows have led me to a Relic of the past."

He was being cryptic, and Judah knew it, but he had to be. The messages needed to be quick, but at least she had a location. For his own part, Judah remained hidden in the corner, far back where not even his face could be seen. It had been such a long time since he channeled the persona know as Relic, the name he went by when working for the Silver Shadows. Coci had insisted they only know each other in that form despite the fact there were few who knew each other outside of it. His years among the Silver Jedi had seen Judah many places and wearing many kinds of faces. There was no way Abbie knew them all, but certainly she would have remembered Relic.

Dark eyes watched the entrance waiting for any sign of her arrival. There were two overwhelming thoughts in Judah's mind. First that once she arrived they would have to move, and second, how desperately he wanted to taste her lips once more. Only time would tell which of those thoughts won out.

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

His answer came quickly, Abaigeal was relieved by this, it told her Judah was still alive.

“New Beginnings Hostel. The shadows have led me to a Relic of the past.”

Nothing, not the faintest sign of him through the force, which told her he was in hiding as did the message, and it did not make her job easy. Denon was as big a Coruscant, where was she going to find a hostel in all of this. Relic, now that was a name she had not heard in a long time, her lips could not help but tug into a smile.

“But where are you?”, the question asked of the device in her hand not to Judah, she could not risk further direct contact. She let out a sigh as she started to walk, hoping for some direction to come to her aid. Nothing of course, until a few blocks down and she came across a tourist information booth.

Had this visit been for any other reason than a rescue, Abaigeal would have been jittery with nerves, and would have most definitely dressed in a bit more care to how she looked. However, the thought of seeing Judah was exciting regardless and although he had contacted her a little, and she the same, there was still that feeling of connection that was not lost to her. The memories of their last meeting being together for several days just enjoying each other’s company made her long for that experience again.

“Excuse me?”, she drew attention from the being behind the stall. “I am new in town .. I need to find the ..err.. New Beginnings Hostel?”. The information clerk punched in the name on her terminal and looked back at her with a small degree of distaste, although trained to not allow her true feelings show.

“You will find the hostel in the ‘entertainment’ quarter, which is several blocks away, I suggest you take a taxi”. The woman gave Abaigeal a long lingering look from head to toe, judgement written on her face. Abaigeal wasted no more time and took the first available.

The ‘entertainment’ quarters had lots of narrow streets and even narrower alley ways, It would have to be here you get into trouble, a smirk pressed on her lips. Up head the neon sign of the hostel blinked even in the daytime, she undid a couple of buttons on her black shirt to show some cleavage and untied her hair messing it a little just before she entered the hostel.

Abaigeal approached the check in counter, the guy behind it looked up and looked her over as she leaned on the counter to give him a better view. “Hey”, she smirked, “You gotta room, I need a room”, she looked at the watched, “Meetin’ someone in a couple of minutes, ya know what I mean”, a wink.

“Yeah well, what’s in it for me?”, he dangled a key in front of her, she grinned as a subtle movement of her hand, “You will hand me the key, You will go to the back room and sleep”. The guys face glazed over and he repeated what she said before handing her the key and walking off. He was here and close, she just knew it.

You hiding in the rafters again?

"Hey now... for the record this is just where I am hiding... you really think I'd get into trouble in the entertainment district?"

Judah made a slight pause before pressing another thought into Abbie's mind...

"Don't answer that."

He smiled as he watched her try and figure out where he was. It seemed playing cat and mouse was the feeling which was winning out. Oh there was a significant part of him that wanted to rush right to her and press a kiss to her lips, but the Corellian also knew how to be coy. He liked her. What they had was new to them both, however. For so long they had simply been friends and co-workers, but ever since their last meeting, Judah did not know what they were. He supposed they would figure that out. Both of them had left without really discussing anything. Judah knew his own feelings on the matter however, and hoped Abbie felt the same.

At his age, Judah was not one who wanted to keep playing the field, especially as a widower.

"The rafters... I should have thought about that... much more down to the ground than that. Some might say I have the 'right angle' for keeping an eye on the entrance."

It was a game, but if Abaigeal could catch his meaning, and the hint of sarcasm in his thoughts, she should find him in the corner booth soon enough.

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

So, you are not in trouble? She grinned at her tease but mostly because he was close by and able to reach out to her through the force. At that moment, a couple entered the hostel both of them pulling at each other and giggling before running up the stairs to which ever room they had. Before they vanished from sight, Abaigeal leaned against the wall and just waited, playing with the key she had gained from the receptionist.

Prolonging the moment, she would see him.

Her eyes did shift right angle to the entrance, boy he was good at concealing himself, there was nothing physical that gave him away. But a sensation through the force told her he was, probably the mind connection. No, it would very silly of me to try and kiss nothing but air. She jiggled the key with the tips of her fingers and smirked.

It had been weeks since she felt his arms around her.

With that, she pushed off the wall and turned away from him and followed in the wake of the couple up the stairs to find the room. It was a better option for him to decloak, and they could talk more freely and work out how to get him and whatever he carried off world.

She unlocked the door, stepped inside to a small room with a large bed, bathroom and not much more. Very functional. It was, she supposed .. for its purpose. With nowhere else to sit, she sat on the corner of the bed and waited for him to ‘appear’, her heart was racing at the thought of him.

All she wanted was just to see him again.

"I didn't get in trouble here. I am just hiding here."

There was plenty of sarcasm to be heard in his thoughts. Judah smiled as he watched her look around. It seemed he clung to the shadows all too well. It was that or she simply had other ideas about how she wanted their reunion to go. His eyes followed Abaigeal up the stairs. He would admit later that he simply wanted to watch her back end sway back and forth as she made her way to the room she rented. Waiting, Judah watched for the door she entered, and after a few minutes followed the path she took.

His heart was racing a bit because this was not just about getting him out of trouble. Abbie had to bring a room into the mix, something which would have happened eventually at some point he was certain. It was odd, but Judah felt like he needed to knock on the door before popping his head in. He had an invitation, so after the knock he walked in to find Abaigeal sitting on the corner of the bed.

"Hey you... expecting someone?"

Judah grinned and slid into the room and closed the door. He pressed his back up against the wall and waited. By the force she was beautiful.

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

Finally, he materialises in front of her and leaned against the wall, she took that time to look him over. She thanked the force he was not injured in any way but his was ruffled up, so something most certainly had gone down.

“Oh, you know, my usual lower class of clientele .. but I guess you will have to do”. They seemed to pick up from where they left off in regard to teasing each other.

Abaigeal stood and approached him slowly, there was a knot in her throat and her stomach twisted with nerves, she felt so silly for it like a schoolgirl. “If you have not got into trouble here, then where?”, she asked with a low voice, this place was not trustworthy enough for anything more.

She picked at his jacket and brushed off some dirt from his shoulder, “I take it someone is after you, may I ask why?”. It was his mission after all, and it might be needed to know basis. Abaigeal knew Judah well enough to know the cause would be worth it. She did worry it would get him killed though, and the thought of that seemed to have gained more impact on her.

Her hand raised as if on it’s own and brushed away a wayward lock of hair falling in front of his face and tucked it behind his ear, he looked like he had not slept in ages, nor showered for that matter, and she wanted him, “When was the last time you slept?”. All thoughts of the mission gone and in its place, heavy concerned for him. But they could not stay here, whoever was after him would find them both soon enough.

"They sound absolutely seedy," he replied with a grin as we watched the woman make her way over toward him.

Her movement was slow, almost as though she was uncertain of herself or what she wanted in that moment. Judah could feel his own heart racing as images of their last moments together flashed in his mind. He recalled every kiss, every touch, and every sound they made. There was an ache for her that Judah had not felt for anyone in a long time, and especially since losing his wife. Yes, there would always be his first that Judah would never be over, his thorn in the flesh, but life was a series of choices, and those choices had led Judah to this moment.

He would have kissed her, but she asked about his troubles as her hands worked at making him look somewhat presentable. Abaigeal cared for him in a way that a friend did not, her actions were that of someone much more intimate than a friend. Even after the time and distance of their last meeting, and it was as though they had never been apart.

"I was supposed to recover an item of great value and questionable power. It seems I was not the only one hired to track it down. Though since I am the one being chased, you can assume rightly that I have it in my possession."

Judah ignored the where, it didn't matter. All he knew was that his own ship would be the first place anyone would look for him, and as long as he had been waiting on Abbie to arrive, he needed to keep moving around. They still needed to. As much as Judah wanted to utilize the room, and the bed, he knew if they let their guard down it would their undoing.

He yawned at the first mention of sleep.

"It's been a few days since I've gotten anything more than a hour or two," he answered as his arms wrapped themselves around the petite waist of his lover. The back of his hand brushed against the back of her cheek as his forehead came to rest on hers. "Thank you for coming for me. I can't go back to my ship, but we need to get out of here. You weren't followed were you?"

His head remained pressed to hers as the Rogue Master melted into the first safe place he had encountered since he went on the run.

"If we can make it to your ship I can tell you more, and we can deliver this thing to my employer."

Judah lifted his eyes to find hers.

"It's good to see you Abbie, I'm sorry it's not for better reasons."

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

There was a sense of relief pass through her body with each passing moment, just to be here with him regardless of the events, he was alive and well and standing right in front of her. While Judah spoke, her eyes looked over his face, every detail of it had been committed to memory and no part of it had changed since Daal. He was handsome when they were friends years ago, he still is today, and she contemplated that he was even more so because of life he wore on it.

“Are you hunting relics?”, she knew there was no time for that answer but, she was thinking of her mother in that moment and she grinned. It had been Iella’s dubious past that had her able to fund the start of the Silvers, not too many people knew that. Once Corellian always Corellian no matter what rank or title they hold.

The touch of his hands on her waist, that was enough to settle her nerves and she let out a gentle sigh as they fell into each other’s arms. The closeness was almost unbearable, instantly she wanted more but this would never be the place, it simply was not good enough. “I will always come for you. No matter where you are”, she whispered as her nose touched his and her arms wrapped around his shoulders.

Abaigeal quickly came back to the moment, alarmed that she might have been followed, although she had been careful. It was no guarantee though. “I don’t think so but.. we best be cautious”. It was time to leave, the more they started the more dangerous it got. She did not comment on his last words, for her any circumstance to see Judah was enough, even if only for a short time.

“My ship is at the starport, once we get passed the checks, we will be clear”, that was the easy part, it was getting to the starport without being followed or attacked. “We must go now”. But as soon as the last word left her lips, she kissed him and allowed all her feelings and delight and desires, through her touch. And once more, the world outside vanished.

“I’ve missed you”, the words were soft like she was telling him a secret.

Judah nodded. Of course he had been hunting relics. He was still a Jedi after all, and while he no longer worked for any particular faction he was certainly aware that certain artifacts belonged in a museum or at least in safe hands. Just because someone was a Jedi did not make them safe hand either. Judah had learned over time that he could not always trust the Jedi to do the right thing anymore than he could trust Sith to always do evil. It was an odd place to be, but life had taught Judah true power was in the middle. He wasn't really Sith, and he wasn't really Jedi by label. All he knew was that he would rather adhere to the light side of the force than allow himself to ever be swallowed up by the darkness again.

They were not safe.

"Yes, we need to move."

Judah was about to take her hand and move, but her lips came to his. The one act caused Judah to halt. His lips returned the kiss as he pulled the woman closer to him. Her whisper was enough to make something inside Judah shift. There was an added calm he did not know he needed. The Rogue Master had been alone for so long he had almost forgotten the comfort and peace that the love and presence of another could bring.

His eyes closed as he melted into another kiss, his response to her words.

"I missed you too. Been thinking about our time on Daal ever since we parted ways." He kissed her again. "We can talk... make out some more, later, but this... at least we know our feelings haven't changed since Daal."

Judah took her hand this time, and gave it a squeeze. They left the room and walked down the stairs. He led Abbie out the exit had come in. Judah had been the Jedi Shadow after all, and if she wanted to get to her ship without being seen, Judah could manage to do just that. He just needed Abbie to let him know if they were headed in the right direction and stay awake enough to not make a mistake.

"Stay in the shadows, move when I say, and we will get to your ship just fine. If you weren't followed then they will be long off my trail. My benefactor though, that will be another story. We need to get to him before they do."

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

She quickly followed Judah down the stairs and out the front door. Abaigeal pointed in the direction of the star port, although not the main street it was busy enough to be a problem if they wanted to move with pace. But she would let him guide the way and do whatever needed to be done to get out of here. Whatever he carried, whatever the relic was must be valuable enough for him to come here and risk his life, but it amounted to nothing in her mind. All she was concerned about was getting them both to safety.

He was looking more tired with each passing moment, whether it was because she had come for him and he felt a sense of relief at this, or it was simply that fatigue had finally caught him, she did not know. Abaigeal had to make sure he would make it through, so they both could.

Keep him talking so she pressed her voice to his mind, Along this street for two blocks before we turn right, which would lead them to the main street, and they could find transport if that was in his mind. She tightened her grip in his hand, for reassurance for both to them before he would lead them on.

Abaigeal could not help herself, I have been thinking about Daal too, a small smile tweaked on her lips. I don’t think my feelings for you will ever change.

She moved closer, dropped their hands down to swing between them like lovers would, this was done deliberately to not draw attention.

Judah simply nodded. He needed sleep, and as Abbie surmised her presence gave him the relief he needed to feel the exhaustion which had run over his body more times than he wanted to admit. Her words kept him going, kept him awake, but they would not be enough to keep him from crashing once they were on her ship and found a comfortable bed. The only thing about the situation Judah did not find appealing was the fact he was going to have to abandon his ship. There were too many memories on that ship for it to simply be left behind and possibly stolen or sold to scrappers. If that happened his employer was going to have to pay the replacement fee.

At least Judah's training was so much part of him he could guide them through shadows in his sleep. He practically was already. They moved slower because of it, but they remained safe. His trail had gone cold to those following by now, and hopefully they did not know who the patron was Judah had been working for. If they did, well, Abbi was going to be in for a fight as well as a rescue.

"Sorry for getting you roped into this mess, but once we get there... if they know who is paying me for this thing..."

Judah didn't finish the sentence. Certainly he led her to the conclusion, but his mind was too tired to finish. It was not too tired to catch the meaning of what she said about her feelings though.

The Jedi smirked, a trademark Corellian feature of his.

"So we are admitting to feelings now, are we," apparently not too tired to tease. "Well... if we are... then you should know I didn't just call you because I knew you would come."

Judah had wanted to see her again, to hold her once more. Daal had been good for him in many ways, but the best part had been the unexpected connection with an old friend. They had only planned on catching up, but that quickly turned into the one thing they had not been able to do when they were still Silvers. The pair acted impulsively on their feelings, desires, their wants. Judah had been married then, and despite the often unspoken accusations of his deceased wife, Judah had never once been unfaithful to her. Yes, he had a reputation before they were married, but that had not meant it carried over to their marriage.

Abbie was someone Judah needed. She crossed his path precisely when she was meant to meet him again, and Judah could not be more thankful for it. Certainly she pulled him out of a loneliness he did not know he was suffering.

Their fingers intertwined, and Judah pushed his exhaustion away once more. There was one more obstacle, one final section of being out in the open they had to cross. She was quick, thinking more like a shadow than she used to. Maybe Coruscant's Underworld had been good her in some ways. Judah grinned again as he lifted his arm, fingers still entwined with hers, and rest it on her shoulders. This is how they would be until they walked up her boarding ramp, until it was safe for Judah to find her bed and crash.

Abaigeal E'ron Abaigeal E'ron

The Starport was busy, it always is but the two of them were not on the run from any local authorities, so there was no look out for them. So, moving with the crowd gave them cover from whoever Judah had ‘crossed’. Even though their trail had gone cold, Abaigeal kept alert and took notice of their surroundings, if the people chasing Judah had any brains about them, they would come here knowing he would have to get off planet.

She had not been followed, so they would not be expecting him to have company. And no doubt his ship was being watched, but not hers. Moving through the check point and gaining clearance to depart, Abaigeal lead Judah to her ship and only on board did she let the tension release from her body.

“Come on, you need sleep”, she helped him into her quarters and laid him on the bed to remove his boots. “I’ll get us out of here”, she kissed him gently before leaving him to rest for as long as he needed.

“We can talk later”, there were many things to talk about, from the events that brought him here, to the hint of emotions that pulled them together once more. And how they would get his ship back, at some point.

As she lifted off, in the distance she saw it, sitting waiting for him, and among the people attending to their own ships, she could see others there, loitering with no other purpose. She grinned knowing they had given them the slip, and once out of the starport, the ship ascended to the atmosphere. By the time they realised their target was not going to show, they would be long gone.
