Since Hegemonic Automaton's rise in the Galaxy years back there hasn't been much in the development of droids and automation. Some still use their products, a testament to the old corporation's competence, whilst others fight over the market share opening up. Didact was more interested in the advantages advanced droids could mean for a private military corporation. The Y1 is the first real foray in this: an advanced droid brain that will serve as the basis of future droid lines and enhance other automation projects tackled by Didact.
Most of them will be focused solely on internal consumption, which meant that no expense was spared to ensure the foundations were solid and secured for the future.
Xylen deposits in the Corporate Sector were acquired in the Lythos system with permanent mining outposts established there. It, together with the Gabonna Memory Crystals, ensure that any droid outfitted with this brain would have a distinct edge in computing capabilities. The fact that every step of the process was done in-house (from the acquisition of the materials to refinement, design and production) ensure that the prices remained as low as possible, while production output were variable with the demand needs of the droid manufacturing departments.
