Her green eyes were focused on the Forbidden Temple as the other two spoke, making no sign that she was even listening. The moment they landed, she turned on her heel and began to march, knowing exactly where she was supposed to go.
The Endelaan sun was harsh as it hit their skin. The day was hot, even for the summer season, and dry. Yellow grass broke beneath her feet as she walked on it, the crunchy sound serving them more company than any animal or insect could when considering there was complete and utter silence around them.
When they reached the grand doors to the Temple, the Sith Sorceress placed both of her hands on it. There was no need to push or use any kind of Force upon them; they opened with a slow, creaking sound, and inside was nothing but shadows and dust. The main hall, once so full of life, held nothing that showed any signs of the people that had walked in and out on a daily basis. No double guards on any of the doors. It was as though someone had cleaned up, put everything in place, and closed the door behind them so long ago.
She led their group to the throne and didn't pause before touching the handle of the Sorceress chair. The dais that held the throne moved aside, revealing a stairway that plunged down into complete and utter darkness. Old torches still hung on the walls, but no fire had lit them in what could easily have been centuries.
But she did not need them.
With a certain walk, she went down and down, into the darkness, the glow of her eyes serving as illumination unless one of the other two would light a torch. And once down, she renewed her march, taking them through corridors that spiraled to every possible side, not pausing for the shortest of moments at every junction.
The deeper they went, the quieter things became. There were no roaches here, no insects. No buzz of a fly. It was void and empty, until half an hour passed and they could all feel it beneath their feet. A soft thud and hum, a rhythmic beating that sounded like... A human heart.
Her marching speed doubled then, almost breaking into a run, and she led them for another fifteen minutes, the beating growing stronger and stronger with every few hundred feet that they passed, until at last they reached a dead end.
The Sith Sorceress placed her palms upon it, and the wall moved aside for them, revealing a small and circular chamber. Unlike the darkness they had come through to get there, this room was completely alight, as in the center of it was a boulder, big enough to reach their knees, and it shone with the harshness of the green that had become the eyes for both the Family of Darkness and the deWinters. Power emanated from the boulder, and upon closer inspection, all would easily see that just as the sound that came from it, just as the vibrations that could be felt all around them, it too beat as a heart.
Ignoring the others as she had done thus, she sank to her knees in front of the rock and wrapped her arms around it, lowering her forehead until it touched her.
Nothing happened at first. Every second was an eternity.
And then the glow of the rock began to grow. The room was bathed in its light, blinding them with its fierceness, and the beating quickened in its step. No sound came from her now as all her muscles clenched, trying to hug the boulder as tight as she could, almost as if she tried to merge with it.
Just as suddenly as it had begun, so it had ended.
There was no longer a beating green lighted boulder, but simply a rock, and next to it stood Nessarose, an ear to ear grin upon her face.
Squealing with joy, she lurched herself at both [member="Asteria deWinter"] and [member="Cameron Centurion"], her arms flailing out, ready to give them the biggest Nessa-hug of their lives.
