Rationale: Maurice came to own Xenotech Laboratories during the construction of Yalara's finest city, New Vaiken. The company originally didn't have a name, it wasn't even a company, in fact it was more of a community of construction workers supplied by the First Order as labourers. After the Government Spire on Yalara had been built, Maurice Dalton had gone through the proper channels of having the construction workers, engineers and scientists at work behind the city come together to form the brilliance that was Xenotech Laboratories.

Much of its products have been scheduled in the form of handheld weapons to mountable weapon emplacements on vehicles and starships.
And yet, it also deals in cybernetics. After one of the chaperone's for Commissioner Maurice Dalton were injured in a terrorist attack and he lost his legs, Maurice had personally funded the cybernetic program until it had gotten onto its feet on Yalara. Of course, the currency acquired wasn't from entirely legal operations, back in his days as a Special Forces Unit of the One Sith Empire.
