While the Xarixi Corps have formidable armed organic forces, they were rather difficult to keep reinforced. The time it took to train these froces compared to the time needed to deploy them on the field caused many issues within the Xarixi Corps. Therefore, Azmodan had begun to supplement his forces with droids, much like the rest of the Confederacy had been doing for many years.
The XD-2 is a line of battle droids of special design. The XD-2s were created as 'basic infantry' with a few twists. Firstly, the XD-2s are equipped with synthesized droid brains, the same ones that include Deilokin consciences within them, thus allowing the XD-2s that extra ability to critically think in different situations. XD-2s' hull is made from both dura-armor and titanium, both fairly durable metals, making the XD-2s very formidable in combat. This, along with their arsenal of weapons, make the XD-2s one of the best combat droids out there.
