XD-1 Compact Assault Droids, CADs or Caddies if you ask a Confederate trooper, are small battle droids used for swarming tactics. CADs move by repulsorlift and wade through the battlefield, firing on their targets from all angles. CADs are seen as an expendable flanking droid, made to force the enemy to leave cover and get into the open. CADs are lightweight and lightly armored, making utilizing and deploying swarms of them rather easy. CADs are equipped with twin light laser cannons and decent sensor systems.
