  • + Exo-skeleton: Xaro have thick exo-skeleton that insulate their bodys from the cold and the heat, as well as predators.
  • + Antennae: Xaro have extra-sensory antennae on their head that pick up sound using echo location.

  • - Mandibles: Xaro are unable to chew plants because of their mouth structure and lack of teeth.
  • -Outcasted: Xaro are most commonly regarded as disgusting creature because of their exo-skeletons and inability to chew with their mouths closed because the use mandibles to chew.
  • Carrots: Eating raw carrots will kill a Xaro due to inability to digest them.
  • Distinctions: Antennae, mandibles, small tentacles over mouth, lack of teeth, exo-skeleton, long limbs (Arms and Legs), clawed hands and feet, 2 fingers, 1 thumb, Two stomachs.

  • Language: The Xaro language, Xar, highly emphasizes the sounds: ch, as, xa (pronounced za) and uk.
  • Culture: The Xaro, becoming sentient in or around 437 A.B.Y, having stone age records dating back to 443 A.B.Y, are a generally non-religious race, although hunting has always been a honored and ceremonial task. A tribe's best hunter would lead a team of spearmen to hunt Kashyyyk's beasts on the forest floor. Although towards the end of the 400 year darkness, Wookies had befriended the Xaro and shared their technology with them, the Xaro still use spears to this day as to honor their ancestors beliefs in hunting for food, not buying it from grubby markets like the people of today. The Xaro Are free peoples, but many join the Republic because of Kashyyyk's location.

    Xaro ceremonies, usually about great hunts and electing a new tribe leader, almost always feature vibrant headdresses that show pictures of long ago hunts that defined the Xaro peoples culture. These great hunts are a combination of ceremonies and hunting competions to decide the tribes ultimate hunter-gatherer. Many Xaro lose their lives to the Kashyyyk's beasts on the forest floor. It is forbidden during these hunts to kill arboreal creatures, but normal hunts allow it.
  • Technology level: The Xaro have only recently evolved into technology users at the end of the 400 year darkness. The Xaro are skilled melee fighters (vibro weapons) and have started developing weapon companies on Kashyyk. Xaro technology originated from that of the Wookie Bowcaster or vehicles like a Wookie Catamaran. Many tribal weapons like bows or spears appear around groups of Xaro, like warriors. These melee weapons are usually vibro weapons, but the occasional normal spears and swords appear on Kashyyyk during ceremonies and the like. Specially modified blasters have been made by Xaro craftsman to give easier firing with 3 large fingers (Xaro hand) instead of 5 small ones (Human hands).
  • General behavior: The Xaro are generally hardworking people who commit to a job and get it done. Xaro don't tend to slack off and be lazy, for they love to be useful. They are loving peoples and care for friends and family alike, but are cautious about outsiders. More general behavior would be drinking at the tavern after a long days work, because the Xaro love alcohol. In the end, Xaro are tough, caring and down to earth with their work. Xaro have tendencies to never turn down a few credits due to the fact that some of their ancestors were extremely poor.
  • History: 437 A.B.Y - After millennia of evolutionary stages, The Xaro are finally sentient and begin to gather food and make nests on the forest floor.

  • 440 A.B.Y - Xaro nests are begining to group together and live as big families. Elders tell stories of to the young and recount the time before they came around.

  • 489 A.B.Y - Many years have past, and the Xaro population still grows. Hunting, now the most honored task among the people, becomes the prime trade in the tribes.

  • 513 A.B.Y - Still growing, the population booms with success. Tribes are wealthier and trading has begun with the wookie population of Kashyyyk.

  • 534 A.B.Y - Trade establishment 63 years ago has gone down hill with a many saboteurs trying to sever the connection between species. Wookie fishing boats have become priority targets for sabotaging the trade route.

  • 578 A.B.Y - Trade routes have been severed for over 30 years and the Xaro have become poor and lonely without contact with the Wookies. To honor their old friends, Xaro all around Kashyyyk begin to speak the it's native language, Shriiwook.

  • 626 A.B.Y - A Democratic Government begins to form in the daily life of the Xaro people, they begin to vote for which leader should continue to rule over all the tribes.

  • 666 A.B.Y - Notable leaders have come and gone in the past 40 years. Many people are choosing sides in a political battle between tribe leaders.

  • 693 A.B.Y - Political unrest has fallen over the tribes as new armies arise to clash against each other. Young Xaro are drafted into the military.

  • 715 A.B.Y - War has raged for 22 years and there is still no leader to stop it. Xaro must fight Xaro for survival against annihilation.

  • 748 A.B.Y - The war has been stopped for 2 years now, but the government still holds its head in its hands. The Xaro people are doomed.

  • 786 A.B.Y - The government has broken! Many Xaro leave the tribes to be with the wookies, who welcome them with open arms and warm Wookie welcomes.

  • 802 A.B.Y - The galaxy is rebuilding itself from Zero, the terrorist. The wookie people take to the stars, and with them, the Xaro. Xaro people now begin to use future technology like blasters and vibroswords. this is a new dawn for this great species.

  • 836 A.B.Y - The Xaro are off to a magnificent start and have mingled with many great species and seen extraordinary sights. They are thriving. New weapons companies have popped up in their wake. For now, lets see how far they go.

However, there are a few things which need seeing to before this can be approved;

Firstly with regards to certain aspects of the history.

Generally speaking, it would take much longer for civilisation on the scale of fully fledged tribes to crop up within a species, could you adjust this to be far more significant or give it less of a definite time period.

Paper based documentation is very rare throughout the Star Wars Galaxy, in fact it's virtually unheard of. I'd ask you to omit this, and find another way for their histories to be recorded (Original stories were told as myths and legends through spoken verses/poetry, etc, which were never written down as paper wasn't around)

Aside from this the only other thing I'd ask for is that the Culture, Technology and General Behaviours are fleshed out to give a better insight into the Species at large. Remember, you're adding to the lore of the site and members who use and interact with what you make need as much information as you can give them to avoid misunderstanding and all around vagueness.
