H I S T O R Y

Few people in the galaxy still remember the origins of Xan before she ever came to Denon. What records remained were terminated, and the handful of people still alive have long since moved on. All that remains of the agent before “Xan Deesa” is just a memory.

What had started out as a simple cover to blend in on Denon quickly became part of her. In the years spent fighting alongside Darkwire against the corporate oppressors of Denon, Xan Deesa became less of a cover and more of who the agent truly felt she was.

When she was captured, and her mind and soul torn from her body and turned into nothing more than lines of code on the Holonet, that identity was one of the very few things that kept her sanity intact. The war raged on, and her hatred for those who oppressed her along with her people, became louder and brighter.

In the years since that war in the shadows, Xan kept the fight up from her new domain. Eventually trapped by a series of powerful Daemons designed to terminate her existence, she spent decades eradicating her attackers and piecing herself back together. By the time she managed to wake up from her personal crusade, the galaxy had moved on without her.

Leaving her alone in the bowels of the galaxy once more.

Boisterous, loud, energetic and armed with a parsec-long sarcastic streak, Xan can be a handful upon first meeting her. Coupled with a love for pranks and a tendency to test her limits with people, she’s to be either loved or hated by those who cross paths with her.

What was once an act has become part of who she is. But it’s still a front to hide the unstable and dangerous monster underneath.

Her hatred for authority and borderline obsessive desire to protect those she cares for at one time fuelled her to be a dangerous and capable terrorist on Denon. Now, that life is all she knows. She’s stubborn to the point of irrationality at times, and her experience has given her a problematic separation anxiety. Simultaneously, she has also grown scared of allowing people to get close to her.

PROS:

• Netrunner: With years of training and experience, Xan is a dangerously capable slicer.
• Agent: Trained in the art of espionage, Xan can adapt to her surroundings and isn’t afraid to change her appearance to blend in if needed.
• Detached: Due to having been uploaded to the Holonet, Xan’s very being is uncoupled from a singular body, allowing her to move around and inhabit droids for temporary moments.
• Terrorist: After spending years in a fight against the Corpos on Denon, Xan has learned a plethora of dangerous and incendiary skills to complete a mission. She’s also a dangerously capable fighter.

CONS:

• Detached: If her physical body is destroyed, she is forced back into the Holonet until she can find a new body to inhabit.
• Ego: Emotionally unstable, it doesn’t take much to push her over the edge and compromise her.
• Cybernetics: Due to her reliance on the Holonet and droid bodies, Xan is highly susceptible to EMP and ion damage, as well as powerful signal jammers.
• Data: While incredibly difficult, eradicating her from the Holonet and any data backups is a surefire way of ceasing her existence.
