The fluid has been described as non-conductive grey goo-like substance, it has a freezing point of -9 degrees and a boiling point just over 119 degrees centigrade, when frozen the liquid has a glassy texture becoming brittle and easily shattered while extreme heat causes it to expand significantly making it unwieldly in hostile environments. Additionally, due to it's liquid nature the armour can react in unexpected ways making it sometimes unreliable.
However, for all it's shortcomings, the material remains favoured amongst Satorian guard and planetary defence forces. It's flexibility and lightness providing maximum mobility or for more heavily armoured units flexibility in the use of multilayered protection. In this regard, it is often combined with ceramic plates to provide rigidity and additional energy and thermal protection at the expense of mobility.
