Corporation Name: Wyrding Yards

Headquarters: Hypori

Locations: Hypori, Roon

Operations: Lots of companies in the galaxy produce droids based on animals--what makes Wyrding Yards stand out is their array of distinctly terrifying models. From sleek predators to winged avians and biodroids , through the cybernetic exploitation of biological memetics these droids are modeled after various creatures, extinct and extant, throughout the galaxy. Ranging from first- to fifth-degree, the droids are breathtakingly animistic and, most importantly, likely to chill the hearts of all who might face them.

Rationale: How Elgyn came to possess the company is a bit of fun as well; acting as an employee, he easily made his way up the ranks to find himself alone with the owner and CEO of the company. Elgyn killed the man and assumed his identity for several days while he changed the man's will to transfer ownership and control of the company to himself. Then, he simply impersonated another employee and 'found' the former CEO, who appeared to have died of natural causes. The company's original intent was as a manufacturer of droid 'companions', and while they are still produced, under Elgyn's control the company has shifted toward military applications.

Tier: 2

Description: Wyrding Yards is an up-and-coming tech firm specializing in advanced robotics and biomemetics. Their most popular product is several lines of droids based on various animal species of the galaxy. As a Shi'ido, El has personal knowledge of the forms and functions of a broad array of animal species, which is then easily applied to the creation of the droids. While these droids act in the same fashion as the species upon which they're based, they are not meant as a replacement. Rather, they are meant as companion droids to their owners, acting out the adaptations of the creatures while also being useful as droids. They are not intended as pets--they are generaly used as assasins or spies, and some are used in battle.

However, there is another side to the small company, a seedy underbelly hidden under the friendly tagline, 'Building Better Worlds'. For the company, much like the man who owns it, engages in a vast array of illegal trickery. Corporate espionage, retrofitted plagiarism, blackmail and extortion are just a few weapons in their arsenal. one subdivision of the company, under the title of 'Advanced Research and Development', is actually a small network of spies, working to infiltrate rival companies. Utilizing a company's most common type of droid, an agent will join the ranks of the company, blending in while the droid heads for the central computer. When the information has been retrieved, the droid's memory is ripped out and the droid itself destroyed--thereby eradicating any trace of the company's involvement.

These practices ensure a perpetual stream of updated, advanced technologies which are steadily drawing Wyrding Yards into the forefront of the tech world.

When it was noted that the corporation's aim had begun gravitating toward military applications, Elgyn was invited to be a sponsored member of the Techno Union. They were given financial backing, which allowed them to amp up production of their droids and other technologies--specifically, the equipping of their Spynet.

Subsidiaries: Teir 2 Corps. Not applicable
