She felt his warm arm as it wrapped around her back. It brought her comfort to have it there - it was as if he had given her a layer of armour through the rather simple act. It was something she needed, something which made her feel safe. And now he was going to take it away. At least his next words made her feel better - she had not done something to upset him. Maybe she had just bored him. Her mind was playing tricks on her - for she could not comprehend why he would ever get rid of her now. He said that he thought that it would make her happy - logically, she thought the same. But evidently, she was devastated. It was weird, for she wanted to be happy about being freed, but really, she was not.

A small "Thank you, Master" escaped her - but the words were hallow and sad. For a while, she grew quiet, trying to enjoy being in his arms while it lasted. The silence was only broken she she felt his hands by her sides, pulling her back so that he could look her in the eyes. At first, she tried to look away in order to hide that her eyes were all watery. But of course, she came to the realisation that it was probably best to do as he wanted, and so, she turned and looked up the the pureblood, letting her blueish eyes meet his yellow ones.

It was a hard ask. Not crying in this situation seemed impossible - but she had to do her best to follow his command. Millicent responded "I don't know" in a whisper before nodding shakily and taking a deep breath, trying to push away her emotions and refrain from crying, just as he asked. As she looked him in the eyes, her thoughts ran rampant in her mind. As soon as they landed, she would be all alone again, desperately trying to make a living through theft. And refusing to let her family know what she was doing, she would once again be all alone. And nobody would be there to protect her, or say what a nice job she had done, or smile fondly at her as she cooked. It was a recipe for failure as a lonesome tear started running down her cheek. Her heavy breathing could be felt as he held her and she knew that the flood gates were about to burst.

She didn't want to fail him. Not now. And if she was going to fail him, she didn't want him to see her do it. Millicent knew that she was about to cry and with that in mind, she tried to turn to escape the room. But with his arms by her side, she wouldn't be going anywhere. If he kept holding her in place, a slow stream of tears would eventually start rolling down her cheeks as she stoically tried her best to keep them in. If he let her go, she would scurry off into the ship where she could hide.

Things went from bad to worse as she started to tear up in front of him. His genius plan had backfired completely as the floodgates opened. He couldn't deny that it tugged at his heartstrings, seeing her like this.

He decided to at least try and make her feel better and pulled her into a hug, resting his cheek on top of her head. "Okay. You can stay with me. I will not take you in as my servant, but you can stay with me and do as you please." he offered her softly as he pulled back slightly to look down at her. "I must confess that I enjoy your company tremendously, so I will not complain either." he quipped with a soft chuckle.

It felt like an excellent time to simply come clean. As he gazed into her eyes he wanted to get it over with. "Millicent, I..." he started, but was unable to finish the sentence. "I, uh... I like... having you around. I would appreciate it if you stayed on the ship for a little while longer." he stammered out awkwardly, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of red as he pursed his lips.

Once he pulled her in for a hug, it all felt better again. Even though she knew that all those nice feels would be removed from her once he discarded her, it still felt wonderful for some reason. And it only kept getting better as they went, for soon, he offered her to stay, but with more freedom than she currently had. Her distraught face soon received an infusion of hope and joyfulness as a soft and timid smile started to grow on her lips, Her timid features laid softly against his chest "I w-" she begun speaking but stopped when he once again put his arms on her side to create a little bit of distance between them. If it had been up to her, she would have stayed with her head resting against him - not only because it was comfortable but also because she was a little embarrassed at how quickly her demeanour had changed. He had managed to bring her down to the lowest of lows and then bring her back up to a rather happy state, seemingly without much effort at all. The fact that he could see the quick shift meant that there was a chance that he realised how much sway he had over her - regardless of their current relation.

The words he expressed then turned her careful and timid smile into a bright one. She responded with a low but sweet "I do too" before carefully looking up at him. She was not really in a position to say it, but she did anyways, perhaps because she didn't know what else to say. So far, her opinions had not mattered much - or at least that was what she thought - and she didn't expect them to matter much to him now either, but at least she had expressed them.

For a moment, she wondered if it was nervousness she saw in his eyes they gazed into hers. She looked at him unassumingly when he took it a step further. He liked being with her and he asked her to stay with him longer. He did mention that it was just a little while - but really, she would take the time with him that she could get. Millicent made herself small to escape his grasp and moved in for a hug of her own, wrapping her own arms around his side - one of few hugs that were taken on her initiative. In truth, it was uncertain how much of a free choice she really had in the matter, for he still held a position of power in relation to her - but regardless of that, this was what she wanted. "Master, I'd love to" she said, finally feeling more safe again - he was not just going to throw her away, at least not now.

Jas was relieved when a smile grew bigger and bigger across her features. His own smile grew when she slipped free from his grasp and wrapped her arms around him in a warm and gentle hug. Instinctively his own arms wrapped around her to hold her there. "You do not need to call me 'master' anymore. You are no longer my slave. You can address me however you like." he explained softly as he looked down at her.

The moment was right. Everything was right. It was simply a matter of making a move. Where she a Pureblood, he wouldn't have wasted a moment. However as a human, there was still the shame and scrutiny linked with her... but who would see or care? If he kept it hidden, nobody would know.

He decided to take a chance. Just to test the waters. "One last thing." he started, his embrace tightening a little around her. "I care for you, Millicent. I care about you. More than a mere subject, more than a friend..." he fell quiet as he looked down at her, his face practically turning maroon as he struggled to say the words. "I... I... oh to hell with it." he dismissed with annoyance as he leaned in and planted a kiss on her soft and tender lips.

Almost immediately afterwards, he let go and tried to get up, looking away to hide the blush that was clearly evident on his features. Unless she held on, he would get up with a pained grunt and make his way to the kitchen, nearly kicking his delicious plate of food over along the way...

The nod could barely be seen as she leaned the side of her head against his chest. Sure, she didn't need to call him Master - but it was what she had called him for some time now. Calling him 'Jas' felt weird, for their relation, while increasingly friendly, had never really reached the point where she called him by his first name. It was something to consider another time, for now, she just wanted to enjoy that he not only allowed her to stay - but also asked her to stay.

She was relaxing in his embrace, letting her soft and mellow form meet his hard and powerful one. It was something which she enjoyed. And to add to it, he was warm too - travelling through space in a tshirt could be cold, but when she was with him, that was rarely ever a concern. After a little while had passed by, his embraced started to tighten. A nonsensical thought floated by, wondering if this was where he'd just kill her off but it soon disappeared by itself and the fact that it didn't become painful worked to confirm it. It was obvious that her movement became rather restricted but it really didn't matter Millicent enjoyed it just the same.

While she managed to keep her cool when she heard that that he valued her higher than a subject but hearing that she was more than a friend - that struck her. Millicent could hardly believe what he just said, for to her, the meaning of it was abundantly clear. She knew where he was going but she had never fathomed it to be true. Was he playing some twisted trick on her? Ultimately, the girl felt conflicted - for while he had done among the worst things imaginable to her, she kind of liked him anyways, and there had always been something special about him. Still, the servitude was a big hurdle to overcome. Her eyes met his and they also told the story of her confusion - but the heavy blush on her cheeks told a more one-sided story.

And then he kissed her.

It was a magical moment and she felt more joyous than she had in a long time. The kiss made her feel light-headed and fortunate that she was held so tightly by his side. Trying to balance as she recovered wasn't going to be a thing. A smile had barely formed on her lips before he rose from his bed, quickly letting go of her and leaving her behind. Millicent was not going to get in the way - their relations so far had been one where she served him and she was not going to start taking command all of a sudden now. It was not something that mattered much to her and she enjoyed what they had. But instead of just remaining in his chambers, she followed him out, moving quickly to catch up.

Well there, she tried to catch his attention by getting in front of him and would climb onto the kitchen furniture if needed. Once she had his attention, she put both of her hands on his large shoulders and looked him in the eyes. The kind of seriousness she projected now was not quite something she had done a lot during their time together. "Master, when I do something that pleases you, I get happy - because I know that it increases my chances of survival." she said, letting her eyes drop for a moment before returning up to his once more "But I think that, I also enjoy it because I like to see when you're happy"

If they were to separate, Millicent had a lot more to loose than Jas did, but she was open with him regardless. She had chosen to respond to his expression of affection with her own. Not because it was the smart thing to do, but because it felt right. The girl looked up at him, uncertain of what her fate would be - for it all laid in his hands now. But even then, there was a certain strength to her gaze - she felt sure of what she had just said - for after all that had happened, she still wanted to be with him and that could really only mean one thing.

As he tried to run away from his own embarrassment, she pursued and even cornered him. He wanted to turn away but she stopped him before he could, taking him by his shoulders and giving him a hard look. A look he had never seen before from her. A look of determination, confidence and strength. A powerful look.

He focused on her gaze, listening to what she had to say. She didn't seem against what they did which was a relief. Slowly Jas reached out and cupped her cheeks, making sure she looked up at him. "Having you with me brings me a certain kind of happiness I have not felt somewhere else. I am sure about what I am feeling. I want you with me, Millicent. Not as a slave, but as mine. I have to ask that we not rush into this... and also not make it known to anyone else. We have to keep it secret. Otherwise I can not know what will happen to us." he spoke gently and slowly as his hands moved down and snaked around her lower back, hugging her against him.

"But the choice is all yours. Do you want this? Do you want me? Not as a master, but as yours?" he asked her as he leaned in slightly.

She didn't struggle against it, instead, she looked up at him where when his hand went to her cheeks to direct her to do so. She looked at him fondly as a sweet smile formed on her lips. It was enjoyable to hear what he had to say. It made her feel special and wanted. And the fact that she could make him happy in a real way had her over the moon with joy. No girl ever wished that they were kept secret, of course, but she knew Jas and understood him reasonably well and knew that it was probably necessary, especially considering how hostile the Sith academy was. "I understand" she said as his hands travelled further down along her back until they eventually brought her in close to him. A playful smile spread across her face as she felt her body press against his and her eyes soon snapped to his lips. But then she remembered that he had asked for them to take it slow and that was something she respected.

Gently resting her forehead on his chest, Millicent heard how the choice was now hers "I think so..." she said giving off a hint of insecurity. "I mean, yes, I think. No. What I meant to say is Yes. Yes, I do want you." when it was all said, she looked up at him with rosy cheeks and a soft smile. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have met him and for him to start fancying her.

Everything seemed right. She didn't resist him when he brought her closer. And the way she looked at him made him feel more at ease about the situation. He held her against him as he waited for her answer.

She agreed eventually. He felt lighter in that moment as she looked up at him with her adorable blush and gentle smile. "I am glad. Otherwise I will never be able to get over this embarrassment." he joked with a chuckle as he looked down at her. Slowly he leaned in towards her. The amount of distance he had to cover simply to get closer to her face was comical, but he held his laughter back. When he was inches from her face, he paused to regard her for a moment... then closed the distance with a deep and passionate kiss on her lips.

His hands shifted to take hold of her sides as he kissed her. Eventually he pulled away but didn't let go of her just yet. "This is still new to me. I haven't exactly been in a relationship with someone. My apologies if I make you uncomfortable." he apologized softly to her.

He wrapped an arm around her side and walked back to the room. "I hope that meal you prepared is still warm. It tasted delicious. You can certainly join in if you are feeling hungry." he spoke calmly as he walked.

In the room he picked up his plate and looked at her. "Is... is it too early to start giving nicknames?" he asked with an embarrassed smile.
