Wresto was a lesser and distant cousin of house Nuruodo, one of the ruling Chiss families and autocrates of Chiss military and foreign policy. Due to family ties him and other members of his close family were expected to enlist in the military. When Wresto was young he lost his brother due to the exhibiting force sensitivity. Which had tarnished his own reputation since they were his own siblings. Which caused others to suspect that Wresto was impure with force sensitivity himself. To this day it is one of his biggest regrets from the guilt he feels from not having done anything to prevent what had happened even if he was just a child.
Still early into his life, tragedy had befallen his civilization. The Maw on its borders had brought destruction to the Chiss. Csilla had been obliterated and with it the Chiss Ascendancy. Having been exiled from his homelands in the unknown regions Wresto, still very young, had fallen into the reaches of the neighboring faction. The Empire.
Having spent a good deal of his formative years within the Empire under their not too dissimilar culture and values as a militant autocratic government. Despite being of an alien Race he enveloped himself in the Imperial lifestyle. Partly because that’s all he had as a bitter orphan. Having joined COMPNOR’s “Sub-Adult Group”. However, when he came of age he didn’t rise the ranks proper or become recruited into the ISB. Instead joining as a soldier for The Empire in the Imperial Academy and trained as a Stormtrooper. Though his Chiss physiology gave him a bit of an unfair advantage, his instructors made up for that by unfairly singling him out from his recruits.
Eventually Wresto graduated into the Stormtrooper corps, and even got specialized training as a Jumptrooper, which offered him even greater battlefield mobility and a new dimension of aerial combat maneuvers. Hardened by the Imperial State which adopted him when times were most bleak for Wresto, it has offered him a second chance, and more importantly, an avenue to avenge his homeland…
