SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Thick Skin: Most of the weight of the Wraid comes from its thick armor which can effectively soak much energy weapons fire and block most kinetic shots and other physical attacks such as shrapnel and missiles. This armor is evenly distributed across the vehicle, making it exceptionally durable from every angle to allow for maximum passenger protection.
WEAKNESSES
  • Fast in a Straight Line: While the Wraid does sport a respectable speed, especially relative to its weight, this is entirely due to its Turbothrusters which keep it from being sluggish however offer little to no maneuverability. This leaves the transport able to be easily outmaneuvered and circled by enemies and can limit its own optimal deployment without escort vehicles.
DESCRIPTION
By and large the forces of the Order of Wonosa relied almost entirely on aerial vehicles to transport large numbers of their ground troops for quite some time. While they weren't devoid of ground vehicles by any means of course, none of these were suitable for passengers in any decent amount. This was due to the Wonosan's own preferred methods of mobile and versatile strikes and limited combat action. There was simply little need to make use of dedicated ground transport for any sizeable force when said force would more than likely be shifted to an entirely different battle within a short timeframe.

As their military forces and operations have grown more centralized and dedicated however this glaring hole in their arsenal was in dire need of filling before they committed themselves to any large scale conflicts. The Wraid Repulsor Transport would be the missing piece that filled such a need. Named for a stubborn and deceptively quick desert beast, the Wraid transport was designed with pure utility and defensiveness in mind. It can carry a respectable number of soldiers and dish out a fair bit of damage, even able to fend off aerial threats on its own, while being exceptionally durable.

The cost of its durability, being due entirely to heavy armor plating, would be speed and maneuverability however the former was accounted for with additional propulsion units and the latter could be remedied by escort vehicles or liberal application of the blaster cannon turrets which defend the side of the vehicle. Although not necessarily intended for rapid deployment, the Wraid does boast three exit ramps to allow its full compliment of soldiers a quick exit as well as making loading and unloading cargo far easier. Its actual systems aren't complex or sophisticated, largely being field equipment simply mounted or integrated into the vehicle, however this keeps production costs relatively low and maintenance simple as a result.
