[Balun Dashiell]

Hey there,

I'm reaching out to anyone who might be interested, either IC or OOC, in assisting in the expansion of a custom world that I have created, which is currently positioned within High Republic Space. I have created a sub-faction specifically for the world-building of Jhaessa Prime; however, my time is often limited, and my priority has always been first and foremost on the roleplay. Thus, the submissions tend to take some time, and I could also use others to bounce my ideas off for feedback.

Jhaessa Prime was a previously undiscovered planet in the Nytherra System, hidden by a massive and violent nebula. However, Balun and a small exploration team managed to find and create a route through the spatial storm using high-frequency sensors, allowing other ships to enter the system unharmed. The primary objective of Jhaessa Prime is to transform it into a central trade hub through the cooperation of other large conglomerates, companies, and corporations seeking to establish their businesses on the planet and expand their networks throughout THR Space, as well as the southern systems.

Currently, Balun Dashiell is the representative of Dashiell Incorporated, which has spearheaded the colonisation of Jhaessa Prime, placing him in a position of leadership that he is entirely unprepared for. Yet, he dreams of seeing this project through to its completion. My alt character, Auren Vellisar , is the Senator for Jhaessa Prime and handles the political aspects related to the High Republic and its neighbouring powers.

I wondered if perhaps there might be others who:

• Have corporate characters willing or interested in investing in Jhaessa Prime, perhaps by buying up some of the land and setting up their companies in Capital City, Miridian.
• I might be interested in helping on the OOC front with the factory and codex aspects of things, becoming part of the team and sub-faction, and having a role in the planet's growth.
• Helping me get some art going for the faction, as I lack even half the skill set that I know some of the artists on Chaos are capable of.

This is a long-term project for me, but it's just as much an IC one as it is an OOC one. Much of my character's time and energy is being spent on trying to maintain a steady line of financing for the expansion of the capital city, before soon setting his sights on building a second significant settlement on one of the other continents.

Unfortunately, my enterprising characters have a bit of an unsavory tint ( Whottoomuzz Chantin Mr. Usher ) but perhaps Xoff Chantin or Velyra Vonn could invest as well.

Alternatively, I have this sub account I use to NPC characters from my own custom planet new to the galactic stage that is OOCly complete but perhaps could invest ICly for mutually beneficial development, supplying raw materials for industrial purposes in exchange for modern galactic tech

OOCly I'd be happy to contribute to the development of Jhaessa prime, can help a bit with art assets, and have an interest in learning more about the company/corpo side of things, and brainstorm which characters would work best.

You're right to caution the idea of Mr. Usher and Balun working together, though they do share a friend in common, in Liin Terallo . It is more the Imperial connection that would sway Balun's distrust, which would put them at a disadvantage from the start. However, one might argue that this could also make for interesting RP.

Whottoomuzz Chantin, from memory, is a Hutt, and the High Republic does have connections with the Black Sun Syndicate that are quickly souring. For whatever reason, the Whottoomuzz could potentially have grievances with the Blacksun or view them as a potential rival in this sector, and consider Jhaessa Prime as a foothold for their criminal enterprise, which could open up numerous opportunities for the IC/RP further down the line. That is just food for thought.

Otherwise, I'm more than happy to run with your Sub Account and use our two custom planets to support one another with trade and technology.

Not as much needed to be said on your end Matsu, simply put you're a star with regards to your work on Atrisia and Sasori. I believe you had others working alongside you on the Atrisia project, though I could be mistaken. Still, it was one of the things that inspired me to want to go further with Jhaessa Prime—seeing how much effort and time were placed into the development of Atrisia, the culture and the world that were expanded and emphasised for others on Chaos to read and enjoy.

Balun Dashiell joining and there has been several people who have done things on Atrisia which has shaped it into what it is now and the Commonwealth as a whole.

While perhaps not the most favored among companies in the HR or the GA, the N&Z does have no qualms with civil projects and wouldn't mind investing, even through side channels to avoid putting Dashiel incorporate in a bad light. Should some cooperation be possible, the N&Z does not need any tracts of land or other means, all that would be appreciated is the approval of a transportation hub and/or possible storage space for products with a wider appeal than military material.

While I appreciate your interest Tertius C. Nargath , unfortunately, Balun has a strong history of military service in the TAC fighting against the Empire of the Lost and has since become quite biased towards Imperials as a result. I hinted at something similar above with Mr. Usher; however, he and Balun have a friend in common, which could tilt the scales in Mr. Usher's favour if she twists Balun's arm enough. That is a stretch, however, and I'm afraid even a single Imperial connection is pushing it for Balun, let alone two of them.

I feel you, and I've seen a lot of N&Z content around the community.

I'm not usually one to turn people away, but with Balun's history and the fact that the planet is in High Republic space, it raises a few potential security concerns. Were there to be any future conflict with the Imperials, it could very much complicate matters between our companies and sour relations.

Regarding your suggestion: "the approval of a transportation hub and/or possible storage space for products with a wider appeal than military material", I'm a little curious to know more? How would you feel about a private thread where they could meet and perhaps we could see how things proceed from there?

Makai Dashiell is also correct in that Balun is the only one with a bias against Imperials and Darksiders in the Dashiell family. Dashiell Incorporated, as a whole, is a corporate conglomerate that encompasses the family companies listed. Judah Dashiell is the head of Dashiell Incorporated. Therefore, as far as the conglomerate is concerned, Balun has little sway over who works with them, only concerning their operations on Jhaessa Prime.
