Somewhere deep within the palace of Korriban, the curtains were drawn, bathing the room in total darkness.

Kaila circled the room, gentle flames hovering between pointed fingers which had since blackened even before now, and lit a series of candles one by one. In the center of the room sat a crystal ball atop a round table, glowing celestially. Three chairs had been arranged around it; one for herself, who wished to see with eyes not her own. One for Revna Marr Revna Marr , the Seer-Queen to be, who had agreed to assist Kaila in the interpretation and inducing of visions. And even one for Mystra Midnight Mystra Midnight , though the spirit no longer possessed living legs upon which to tire. Her role was to teach Kaila in the sphere's use, the one to make it all work.

Between the three of them, she hoped it would be enough to find what she sought.

The answer to her true origins.

Finally she stopped at the 13th candle, black painted lips muttering with each count until she was sure all were lit. Settling upon the last again, her gaze turned a radiant
violet to match the crystal ball, and the jewels around her throat which had been lifeless and dark only moments before. She could already feel her connection to Mystra strengthening again, enough to speak and be spoken to, she hoped.

"
Am I doing it right?" she asked, tracing the ring around her finger.

"
And what were the other ritual components again? Incense, I think."

Kaila quickly strode past the table to rummage through a box, holding her thumb to the genetic lock.

Just then Zero rolled past, chirping and whooping excitedly as the BB-unit held up it's little arms to present tea for it's masters. It was the least Kaila and her companion could do for their gracious host.

She remembered those cookies still, fondly so.

Revna was always one who was keen to learn something new, anything to help grow and develop or further her own powers and abilities, and it had seemed almost by accident that she had stumbled across a burgeoning, and previously buried, ability she seemed to possess.

The ability to sense things, even see things, that were beyond her.

She knew her Neti friend and ally, A’Mia Madrona, had a similar ability - thus the reason why she was known as Korriban’s Lord Seer.

She had shared her strange ability with her ally, her true friend, Kaila Irons - and one thing had led to another, and now here she was sitting in a darkened chamber within the Palace, ready to embark on a journey that she had never experienced before, and diving headfirst into rituals and magicks she was somewhat unfamiliar with - but eager to learn all the same.

Fiery eyes that seemed to glow ever so faintly in the darkness, flickered from candle to candle before landing on the crystal ball that would serve as a sort of medium to See things that were otherwise hidden.

Kaila spoke aloud for a moment, before remarking that she needed incense for the rest of the ritual components, before she stepped towards a box and unlocked it, and about that time a cute BB-series astromech rolled into the room, chirping excitedly as it presented tea for those within the room. With a faint smile, Revna gladly took a cup of tea and inhaled the aromatic steam, her eyes half way closing as she took a moment to enjoy the scent. She loved wine and her caf, but tea was a treat and it always brought back sweet memories of her tea times with the wintry Dread Queen of the Sith.

Now…just a reminder…this is my first time doing anything like this. It…could be risky. Could be very rewarding too.” Revna said softly, casting her ember hued gaze to Kaila, eyeing the violet eyes her friend now had - a hue that matched the ball and now the bejeweled necklace that draped around her neck, before she lifted her cup of tea to her kohl dabbed lips to take a tentative sip of the piping hot liquid.

Korriban how long had it been…..so long, so much had happened here both in her history and her makers history. Kings and lords of the sith were long buried here, most of them forgotten their tombs left unfound or purposely ignored. The bones of the makers original body once even laid buried on this graveyard world.

Those bones that produced her and the other clones of the maker. The purest strain of the makers DNA, in way this place was holy but not in the same way it was to sith. Though the maker held no such reverence for this place, the maker herself had been part of many crusades to bring about this world's end.

Then again it might be harder to find worlds the maker valued than ones she sought to end. Mystra watched from the veil as Kaila, her jailer, set up the ritual of vision and sight. She looked at her crystal ball looming at the center of it longingly, one of her most cherished possessions and perhaps the only gift her maker had given her besides life.

She listened as Kaila spoke asking if she had everything in place and if she was doing it right. That was a bit funny to Mystra as she looked around at all that had been set up. There were already enough components here to summon the ancient dead if they wanted. Hell, they could do maybe even resurrect someone they had a sacrifice her eyes looked to the other person who had joined them Revna Marr Revna Marr .

"Focus less on the preparation, more on that which you wish to see."

A disembodied voice spoke softly into the room aloud. Preparation was good but overthinking it or making it more the focus then finding that which sought could ruin it worse than being under prepared.

"I mean worst case scenario; you look into the void and go mad. I would say it all looks very good." Mystra spoke as an outline of her form began to form and slowly solidified with a stile ghostly violet hue. A small woman who didn't even stand five foot tall appeared in black robes. At first the hood of the robes covered her face keeping it from full viewing.

The ghostly image in black robes slowly looked to Revna the young sith, then again most were young compared to her. "A young seer? I wonder how far she has peered. Do we look to the past, present, or future?" She asked not sure as her face was revealed to them both when she lifted her head and the hood slid back.

The face was known, but it was older. It was an aged face of the young girl who was often at Kaila's side but her dark eyes held an unknowable age, wisdom, and deep darkness. Mystra the clone of the maker same as Tamsin Graves Tamsin Graves but much older.

"Ah? how reassuring." she anxiously groaned to Mystra.

A momentary pause followed while she closed the box and took her tea from Zero, patting the little thing on it's head.

"
I do appreciate the advice though." Kaila clarified.

It was advice she needed if Kaila was being honest, and frequently. Unless of course she was in the middle of a harebrained political maneuver like trying to stab Lirka Ka Lirka Ka in the back to protect a man she did not know, in which case overthinking may have done her some good for once.

And so she took her seat and a sip of warm tea to begin clearing her mind.

She would put her trust in the power and wisdom of both these women, both because Revna had never steered her wrong before, and because she had little choice.

"
Not the future," she answered after "best not to invoke fate."

Or rather, it was best not to invoke the questions to follow when all attempts to see her place in both the present and future would fail. One of Darth Empyrean Darth Empyrean 's many gifts, none of which she was permitted to speak of.

But could they still see her past self before joining his great work?

They would find out together.

"
We will start with the past, search for the truth of how I came to the Mandalorians. My hope is that we may then trace those involved to the present and identify them."

The young Darth took a deep breath, and turned to her companions once more.

"
To explain in better detail now that we've some privacy; I believe that in using battle meditation you may be able to extend your visions to another. I trust in your power, Revna, first time or not."

Then she turned to Mystra's incorporeal presence.

"
Having seen a clear image of what I seek, you and I will work to make the crystal ball show us the present state of those found in the vision. Perhaps from there I can attempt to locate whatever we see."
