From Dathomir to Bastion, and living throughout the Galaxy are Witches of Dathomir. Initially, we were magick-wielding sisters, now we are comprised of both men and women who wield magick - but those of us here on Dathomir wield perhaps the strongest magick of all. Utilizing the very ichor that continues to flow from the planet itself we are able to create objects out of thin air. We can transform into ghostly forms and with enough mastery - reanimate the dead. Yet we realize there are far more witches in this Galaxy and indeed within the Empire than just the Nightsisters or the Nightbrothers. You may be curious as to our existence, perhaps you feel as though you might be able to wield the ichor yourself. Know that you are not alone and that becoming a Child of Dathomir, and indeed a Child of the Night is not an easy process. There will be a series of missions, tasks for you to carry out to prove your loyalty. To prove that you are indeed worthy to be one of us - and these tasks are not just for our sake. Yours as well, they will help you find the right clan within our Coven. Trust that our power is more than enough to sate your appetite. Although you may wonder - what of these other covens, covens from across the Galaxy who claim the power for themselves. We assure you that the interpretation of either ichor or the Force as some might say - you may inquire of these covens.
We even encourage this exploration, for once you choose the Path of the Witch there is no turning back. So be wise in your decision, choose your coven and choose them well. For if there is one thing that is assured among the witches, blood is much thicker than water. We will kill to protect our own, to keep our secrets, and betrayal of this on any level is met with death.
As a witch, you would begin as a Witch Initiate until such time as it is determined that you can carry on as a Spellweaver, and ultimately an Elder. These ranks, are not so easily handed out and even between their titles are still other roles that must be fulfilled to keep our people safe. Shadowkillers, Hunters, Warriors are just some of the things we can teach you, child. I know you have your doubts but trust, when I say that we have more than just friends on the other side.
Oh and there is one other thing I should warn you of - for although they no longer roam in number, the Primeval still roam. Do be careful, they're still such frightening creatures...
