at the very least they exist as part of a social construct.

The question is sort of ambiguous, did you want to know if they are necessary? or my personal feelings on the matter?

I wouldn't mind hobnobbing with some of the fancy types but I am actually so not fancy. They would probably be appalled by my presence if I acted like myself. Unless they were cool....are there any cool aristocrats around? I figure there must be, correct?
