Private Wisdom of The Serpent

Wearing: Serpentskin

Armed with: Divining Rod

Journeyed to: Kamar

Three days earlier, on Jedha...

Darth Themis, Bright Lord of The Sith had never wanted to journey back to this place.

The black pyramid where she had been held captive still stood, but one side had started to show signs of erosion.

She walked to it in trepidation, even though she knew everyone that had seen to her imprisonment had died off years ago. She had been in the place a long time, and though the Whill Guardians had not made it a torturous experience, she had gone partly stir crazy bound to a magic tree grown with her own blood for a century or two. She had forgotten the exact number of years.

The electronics had broken down. It had been a simple matter to crawl down the emergency ladder of the high security turbolift shaft. She had seen where they had taken her gear. Most of it, anyway.

The high security section had broken down from shear neglect over the years. But it didn't look looted.

The beautiful, young looking woman in an armorweave black catsuit, clutched her retracted spear as a source of comfort as she ventured forth into the contraband room, designed solely to contain her stuff.

The stasis chamber holding her old spear had broken down and was nowhere to be found. The chamber containing her armor however was fully functional, still tapping off geothermal power.

Themis put an end to that swiftly with her spear in its lance configuration activating the bright green blade and severing the power cables. The field surrounding and preserving her old armor died.

(Themis got The Serpentskin!)

Themis reached out hesitantly and grasped it, feeling her old power as she let her hands run over purple chromium fabric. She undid the clasps on her current armored bodyglove and slipped out of it, putting the black and purple armor on. It still fit like a glove.

She felt more like herself than she had in months since being brought back to life...

Themis stepped out in a skintight chromium purple catsuit with long, black chromium gloves and boots. She stopped, sensing life. Force Adept life near her actual place of imprisonment.

Dark AND Light Force Adepts.

Themis looked in the Light, made it give her a vision. She frowned as she saw it, not fully understanding and then proceeded forward into the main area of her former imprisonment, a gigantic underground cavern whoss walls had been lined with enough explosives to kill an Exogorth.

The Obsidian Tree she had once been bound to still existed, as full of Obsidian apples as they day the De-Lifte's had released her, though it had a few new guests about. She saw the trio of witches, clad in skintight white garb, preparing an unholy ritual on four captive Jedi, presumably designed to corrupt the tree she had been bound to.

Themis froze when she saw the symbol on the foreheads of the Witches. A black, jagged moon.

The fires of that day in her fortress, where Phyre had slaughtered the new apprentices while wearing the face Themis had preferred in that era, made Themis clench her fist, the other hand tightening her hold on its spear as she approached, walking the long bridge that connected to the tree area. The Jedi were captive, tied to stakes, their bindings tainted with blood magic so they couldn't use telekinesis to undo their restraints or even really use their powers all that much.

The Witches, all beauties, who had been busily tracing blood wards carefully on the ground for the past hour, paused as they felt her approach. They did not notice her glare under her purple, chromium cowl that had an opening in the back to allow her 'hair' to move freely.

"Look Sisters...a new pile of flesh to play with..." one of them gloated...and then she immediately turned pale as death once she recognized the armor and who wore it.

"It...it cannot be! You're dead! You were slain by Lady Phyre personally!"

"Is that the sound of bricks being chitted?" The Bright Lord asked, blinking her light-mutated bronze and green eyes as all the witches focused on her, red lightsabers going active, their flesh shuddering as the Dark Side coursed through Alchemized Skin.

"The Cult prevails, as it always has! Sisters, imagine the power we shall gain consuming her very muscle tissues!" Their leader, an elderly twilek woman with blue skin sneered.

"Degenerate filth..." Themis sneered back, green blade shooting out.

The flesh of the Dark Witches wriggled disgustingly as they surged forward, blades aiming for her throat.

Her vision guided her defense, swiftly stepping out of their stabs and slices at the last second, manueving her Saber lance hilt around her body as she flipped and evaded, the green blade just happening to parry theirs occasionally at seemingly the last second. It was like having Nicholas Cage's power in Next, except she'd done the smart thing and become a Force Master, not the dumb thing like Cage's character had done and become a magician. Whatever he was. Screw it. I don't remember the plot to that one.

A blast of red lightning from the lead Witch impacted Themis's chest as she landed away from them.

The flesh on her body rippled but the armor was protective in the extreme against this sort of thing, grinding against the energy onslaught as she advanced forward, the other Witches firing Lightning at her as well, but the enchantnent against the wicked energy was just that strong.

Without effort, Themis twisted The Light around herself, willed it to do her bidding, unlike the Jedi, who were guided by it, and wrenched her hand forward.

The Light twisted invisble tendrils around the Dark Witch Leader, who screamed as Themis used it to dislocate her limbs and fling her into the one on her right.

"Ashla, Draw the darkness to my light..." Themis whispered.

A searing green ball of crackling, Ashla Infused light coalesced above the witch still firing lightning at her and drew the lightning into the large, crackling ball of green energy, which then immediately flung itself into a screaming which after it had charged up enough. She was exploded into chunks of white blood and yellow innards absolutely corrupted with The Dark Side, The remaining two witches immediately re-engaged striking at her with Lightsabers. But the enchantments on the armor caused the lightsabers to glance off her body, leaving only dark burns on the fabric that quickly vanished, Dark Green Lightning flashing from Themis's palm into the face of one witch, exploding her head as the Ashla was literally shoved down her throat. Only the Lead Witch remained and she was slowly backing away.

Twisting the Light around her very voice she reached into the Witch's mind.

"Shove your active blade into your skull..." Themis whispered.

The Witch got a blank stare as her mind was dominated, and slammed her own blade into her skull without blinking.

Themis spat on their remains as she stepped over them to get to the fully conscious Jedi, who were bound and gagged, with a strange bird symbol she had not seen before on their robes. She pulled the gag out of one and his immediate question was one her grand daughter had asked her some time prior:

"What the hell are you?" he asked.

"What the hell are 'you'?" Themis echoed, after whispering an enchantment afterward to undo their binds.

(Cutaway of the Predator laughing as he activates the self-destruct device)

"And what were you doing here?" she asked backing away.

"The three you slew are members of a cult who have been hunting and killing our knights and apprentices. We'd been tracking them for days. We thought we were ready...but their darkness overwhelmed us. These animals with lightsabers...I've killed full on Sith Masters who were absolutely vicious butchers who had it coming...and yet 'still' were not a tenth as sadistic and cruel as these three! They had no line! They murdered innocent people while wearing the faces of their loved ones via dark magic! Its sick, the things these three were guilty of. I'm glad they're dead. They were saving the worst death for us..."

"I'll take that as a thanks..." Themis trailed in a dry tone, starting to walk away.

"Wait..."

Themis stopped, not turning to face them.

"The way you use the Light is not natural. You command. You are not guided, as we are. How have you done this?"

"Does it matter? You're free." she snorted.

"It 'does' matter. The Ashla must be safe guarded. People have always misused it. I've never seen anyone manipulate it this way. I'm sorry. You may have saved our lives. And we are greatful, make no mistake..."

"But you still have to detain me..." she said in an even dryer manner.

The leader of all four captive Jedi summoned his lightsaber from a nearby table set up by the Witches.

"But we still have to detain you..." he confirmed grimly but still with a hint of apology.

Themis sighed, tossing him her spear.

"This oughtta be good..."

Present day.

The Defender Class Corvette in the blue and black colors of The Ashlan Crusade descended on Kamar. Themis was semi-familiar with the place, a desert world she had a safe house on during the Plague while fighting Darth Phyre's cult. She was led out with minimal resteaints, still in her purple catsuit.

Ryv Ryv had been contacted about the situation, about the strange, gorgeous Force Adept who twisted the Ashla about her unnaturally. She was led to an encampment of Jedi, who all viewed her suspiciously given what scant information they had been provided. She was seated in a sparse tent, still exuding the Light Side, which swirled like a fast whirlpool around her in the Force.

All that was left to do now was wait for Ryv to arrive. Some of the Jedi examined her spear, a simple spike of glossy obsidian with minimal engraving.

"She was armed only with this?" One of the knight's asked as they stared at the spear laying atop a table.

"Yeah..." the Jedi Master she had saved confirmed, nodding his head. "And she surrendered without a fight...its weird..."
