- Magnets placed in the palm of the grip to allow the weapon to stay in the user's hand from either the large recoil, or from being thrown about.
An old slugthrower needs an update. One that can be used easily against armored targets, and even more so with less armor. The old design of a KD-30 integrated into a handcannon to create a very powerful slugthrower, with an added bonus of acidic rounds. The idea came to Windstrider when he had the old weapon that would hardly function due to Father Time. Max wanted a larger Pistol that could easily take out flesh, to medium armors with a shot, and anything else more, would taste the bite of the acidic rounds. Meaning that it was a very versatile weapon, with the same standard set of rounds.
Using metals from here and there, and crafting a frame to be used, as well as using a refurbished barrel of the KD-30, Strider set to work on taking a new spin on an outdated timekeeper. The weapon was built with the barrel closer to the trigger guard. Allowing for a percentage of the recoil lessened with the controlled explosion being lower to the center of gravity, than outside of it. However, with the weapon still being rather tall, it is a little top heavy. SO an untrained person firing this weapon would very likely smack themselves in the face with the barrel.
Like all weapons of the high tech era, a laser has to be added for special situations should the need arise. Using a hogue grip manufactured to allow the web of the wielders thumb and index finger to apply pressure on a button, and turn on the laser. This can be very effective due to Max being in situation where the perfect situation to fire, will not always be available. And likely will need to be used by firing from the hip, while on the ground, on his back, or in other like minded situations.
Housed within the grip of the weapon, is a magnet that sits right in the hollow portion of the frame. The actual grip hides the magnet, and dulles the effects just enough to not attract everything. The magnet allows for anyone wearing a metalic glove, to hold onto the weapon more readily. Preventing it from being knocked out of the user's hand, and even keeping it in their hand when they may let go. While the gun can still be lost, and taken away, it is less likely to with the magnet there.
