Veteran: Having been a naval officer for over 30 years, Will is a very skilled commander and knows his ships well.
Intellect: Will is a very intelligent man due to his long career. He knows the strengths and weaknesses of his ships well, and studies enemy ships to figure out their strengths and weaknesses. After multiple battles, he can learn about the tactics of his enemies and can fight them properly. He very rarely is overconfident about facing an enemy.
Weak: Will is an old man, so he is starting to get frail and weak. His hair turning gray is a sign of that. Though he can handle a blaster for defense well, he is not good at handling any heavy objects.
What's the Force?: Despite his intelligence, he knows very little about the Force groups and their abilities. While he knows about lightsabers and using the Force to move objects, otherwise he does not understand other Force abilities.

BIOGRAPHY:
Will Sherman was born into a high-class family of naval officers on Corellia. His father commanded a heavy cruiser and his mother commanded a carrier (Destroyer size). Due to this military heritage, he was educated from a young age about topics important for a military career such as math and science. When he was 14, he started to get trained in the naval career.
Will was a quick learner, and was soon very familiar with the aspects of a naval career. At the age of 18, he took command of a heavy corvette. He successfully fought and destroyed a group of pirates in the system, and his command was moved up to a frigate.
In this frigate, Will learned some valuable life lessons. He came to understand the limitations, strengths, and weaknesses of a craft and often used them in his favor. Will learned to never underestimate an enemy, because in the right hands a corvette could destroy a cruiser. He studied his enemies and their ships to learn their ways and come up with a plan to destroy them.
When he was 30, he was moved to a cruiser and continued his service. He often participated in anti-pirate campaigns, and even fought foreign invaders. He was scarred multiple times but kept up the fight, determined to win. He moved between cruisers and Destroyers for the next twenty-two years.
