Well Lorn doesn't have much in the way of liquid capital or assets. But if it's adventure you want, I've been wanting to use this character more. His motivations are very adventure driven as he desires to find his (likely dead) adopted family, or at least what became of them. He's still trying to figure out how the whole "space" thing works (very foreign to a plant), so it might be highly likely that he snuck aboard your ship as a stowaway?

If your character would just as soon kick him off after one freeloading stop, that's fine too!
