The Outback rifle is the first of Wild Space Arms Companies products. With the Outback and Wild Space territories in mind Hala's team of dedicated misfits set out to develop a good carbine type weapon that was reliable, and cheap. In addition it had to be good in a conflict.
Thus they went back to olden times, and used a chemical propellant with a .308 Slug in a nice wooden and steel sawed of rifle. It can last in the sands of Tatooine, or the Humidity and rot of Felucia. With little maintenance besides oil and calibration.
The Outback rifle features a lever action pump, and heavy .308 round for that cowboy feel and that god good penetrating power. In addition the inertial compensator helps dial back any recoil from shortening the barrel. The Actual rifling went from 1\8th of an inch to 1/16th of an inch giving her high accuracy as well.
It is short enough to serve as pistol type weapon or a double handed carbine for close engagement.
Overall a solid weapon in any rovers kit. Just keep a backup as it is impractical to reload the breech in a raging firefight,
