DESCRIPTION

The Outback Long gun is the spiritual successor to the Outback Rifle. Where the former could serve its user well in close quarters, the Wild Space team wanted to give backwater folks a longer range. The Outback Long gun is the result of that. A weapon that can engage at the twice the range of your normal assault rifle, with decent rounds and great reliability.

Again the barrels rifling was changed to 1/16th of an inch every foot, producing a much more accurate shot. Friction concerns were negated with a special lubricant that can be applied to the barrel (Come with the gun.)

There is nothing particularly awesome about the rifle. You can't mount a scope on it without serious modding or other attachments for that matter. What is is is a long gun that will shoot in just about any condition, has a nice range, good capacity and can serve as standard weapon for just about anybody.

As always with most Jast supervised projects, it can be modded to fit the users needs. (Requires a separate sub.)

Strengths:
  • Superior Range
  • Good accuracy
  • Good penetrating power
  • Reliable and easy to maintain
Weaknesses:
  • No attachments
  • Requires a steady arm to handle recoil
  • Does Jam occasionally
  • Considerable Weight

Looks solid in basic concept, though I think it could use a little rebalancing in its strengths and weaknesses.

I would add weight to your weaknesses. While the weight will definitely help with absorbing recoil, that's also quite hefty to lug and carry around.
