Brought to you by Nova-Tech comes the next line in portable security devices. The Widow-Lock™ is the next step in protecting your home, family, privacy and peace of mind all in a conveniently proportioned device. This small, circular pad has only a six inch radius and a depth of only four inches, making it the perfect low-key, all-in-one portable security lock. It can be carried in suitcases, jacket and cargo pockets and nearly any other container or transporter. With its cutting edge Gripton technology, the Widow Lock can stick to nearly any surface and be programmed to interface with any existing lock or act as an independent lock.


How it works
The Gripton is placed on the eight tiny legs that protrude from the device’s bottom upon activation. Once stuck to a surface, the device will prompt you that it is “Armed and Ready for Command”. At this point, the user can choose to activate the electronic melding device within the lock. This device sends out a signal to all electronic devices in the area and allows the user to pick which one to interface with. Say you wanted to place a Widow Lock™ on your family’s front door for protection, simply press the “Ready” button to extend the grip legs and stick it to the center of your door’s locking mechanism. After the device prompts you, simply press “Find Existing Security Device” and the Widow-Lock™ sends a signal out to all devices in the area. Once it has found your door’s lock, select it from the list and like magic, your Widow-Lock™ had now interfaced with your door’s lock so that your door can only be opened via the Widow-Lock™ device. Alternatively, you may choose the “New Lock” option which then keeps the lock perfectly in place until unlocked. This mode is perfect for securing doors or containers that use traditional locking styles or do not have locks at all.

Once placed with either the “New Lock” or “Find Existing Lock” option enabled, the device primes its explosive charge (coming in various strengths as well as non-lethal options). The explosive stays armed until the device is unlocked with the proper sequence that is chosen by you upon order. Each device can be outfitted with the lock type of your choosing. Lock types include, fingerprint, DNA, passcode, voice recognition, retina, 3-step pattern swipe or a combination of two or more of these lock types (more than one locking system may increase the size of your purchased unit). The device is resistant to tampering and can be programmed to issue warnings to vandals upon attempted tampering. If the device is removed without the proper security sequences met or if tampering is apparent, the device will detonate its loaded ordinance. The user, upon receiving the device, may choose how many failed attempts are allowed to be made to unlock the device using the sequence before detonation. The user may allow up to four attempts but can set the number of allotted failed attempts to as low as zero.

To ensure security, the Gripton is only detachable through friction forces used by the device itself. Upon disarming, the device will ask if you wish to detach the device and upon entering “yes” the legs that protruded from the back will release certain friction points of the Gripton to allow it to be removed.

Explosive Solutions

Each device comes with the standard detonite charge (unless ordered otherwise at increased cost) that has an effective blast radius of up to a seven foot radius in front of the device. The charges are set in a way to assure shrapnel and most explosive forces are directed forward, but total destruction options are available on order that create an explosive radius of seven feet on all sides of the device as to increase effectiveness or to destroy whatever it is securing.

The explosives are found in the center of the device and under the sequence pad, interwoven between top of the line electronic detonators. Even though Detonite is the standard explosive used, multiple different charges and measurements are available. Here is a short list of what lethal and less-than-lethal options are available to you.

- Factory Standard Detoite Charge – Seven foot blast radius, can be set to only deal damage to the front of the device or can be set to deliver its effect in each direction. (Standard size)

- High Explosive Detonite Charge – The high explosive option is not for the faint of heart. This charge, while dealing more damage, cannon be contained to direction damage. The increased blast radius of 14.5 feet comes at the cost of the directional options of the Factory Standard.

- Electro Magnetic Pulse Charge – The Electro Magnetic Pulse Charge allows for the directional aiming option with a programmable blast radius of 2 to 18 feet. However, the pulse is highly ineffective against organics and only disrupts droids and other tech effectively.

- Stun Charge – Stun charge has an effective range of up to 14 feet and is made to blind and render organic suspects unconscious. However, the stun charge is ineffective against mechanical opposition such as droids.
