Why should I help you?

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
Xephirus looked across the aisle of the shuttle at the obviously disturbed, yet energetic kid. Xephir scowled as the obviously inexperienced being kept glancing over at him and Xephirus instantly regretted allowing him to follow him... allowing him to live. He clearly did not recognize the forces he was dealing with.

"You shouldn't have followed me to this place boy." He announced with a degree of venom in his voice. The shuttle came to a stop and Xephirus rose to his feet and walked off the shuttle. He didn't bother to look to see if the boy was following him... he knew that Gravis was committed to the sinking ship. It was as if Gravis felt he needed Xeph.... a feeling he had felt before.

Xephirus stepped with purpose looking around the ruins. Memories rushed back to him and yet everything had changed. Emotions whirled around inside of him as he realized what he had lost. He looked down at his feet... dejectedly. The crunch of boots crushing the dry dirt beneath got closer and closer.

Rage.... Annoyance.... Loss.... Hatred.... Desire.... Pain....

He felt all at once. 800 years.... gone.... what would he do... where would he go.... where was the thing he missed the most? More importantly what was the thing he missed the most? Clouded... his mind still was.

Gravis was stepping into a hornets nest... he was best to tread lightly.

OOC: I left it general enough, I figured. Let's get this started. [member="Kiln"] [member="Gravis_Aqua"]

Kiln

The Survivor
Kiln sat in the shade of some ruins. He examined the half-digested shield he had used to claw his way out of the Sarlacc pit, trying to remember what happened to him in the darkness. But even the life he lived before that seemed so distant now. Like it was still back inside the monster.

Kiln sighs and rubs his head, just as the sound of a shuttle landing echoes across the ruins. He turns his head to where the sound is coming from in the distance, and hangs the shield back over his shoulder as he stands up. He puts his hood back over his head and steps out of the shade, walking further through the ruins in search of the noise.

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
Xephirus reached down and grabbed his long-hilted saber. He ignited it and a sickly green blade emerged. The light from the blade shown on his face, showing something twisted, something demented. He had longed to stretch his proverbial wings. [member="Gravis_Aqua"] didn't quite know the hell he was in for.

Stepping toward the near-human he pointed his blade and said, "You either got it...." He said swinging his blade at downward arc, if he was worth a damn he'd be able to survive at least a few passes with the villain from the void. If Gravis didn't survive... they'd both be better off.

"...Or you don't." He finished.

Sure Zephyrus had years of training in certain forms and a hell of a lot more experience, but it wasn't like he was going all out on the kid.

Kiln

The Survivor
Kiln walks through the ruins until he comes to a temple with a shuttle nearby. He walks over to the shuttle and examines it for a moment before he hears a sharp, loud noise come from inside the temple. He had never heard anything like it, and curiously walks inside to find out what it was. As he walks through the dimly lit sections of the temple, he starts to hear a faint humming sound echoing in the distance.

Kiln

The Survivor
Another sharp sound and flash of light come from around the corner as kiln peaks through a crack in the wall to see a large open room, with two people in the center facing each other. Each of them seemed to be wielding a sword with a glowing blade. He squints his eyes, staring at them curiously.

Xephirus Cloud

The Echo of Destruction
It was true the lightsaber was an awkward weapon, many people cut their own hands off... especially if they weren't force-sensitive. A surge of energy came over Xephir, 800 years of hibernation. As much as his compassion had fueled him... he missed the screams of agony. It was a twisted feeling he wanted to maim the kid and yet at the same time he didn't. Like his instincts and his humanity were in a delicate balance and it wouldn't have taken much for the balances to swing in either direction.

Xephirus could be the most vile creature in all the galaxy, his track record had spoken for that. For the few that knew the other him knew that there was a caring side to him.

Xephir stepped forward swinging the blade from his left hip across, hesitating just enough mid-swing to throw off someone so inexperienced in the ways of lightsaber combat. He barred his teeth, a lust for blood present in his eyes.

Kiln

The Survivor
Kiln steps around the corner into the center area to get a better view of the fight, his attention focused on the glowing blades. It seemed to be just the weapon he needed. A sword that could not only cut from any angle, but also emit a strong light that would illuminate the infinite darkness he was determined to face.

Kiln walks around the edge of the room as he watches the two fight. They didn't seem to be trying to kill each other, but he kept his distance anyway. He had not idea what the they were capable of.
