OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a small-scale, semi/Quasi-sentient parasite that links a host to Mr. Usher’s hive Force lattice, granting minor Force use in non Force sensitive characters and allowing remote communication—usable by cultists, allies, or test subjects.
  • Image Source: AI Generated via OpenAI.com
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Primary Source: Inspired by Force-bond mechanics, Nether Devils, Mnggal-Mnggal D&D Warlock Patrons, and Sith alchemical bioforms

PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Mr. Usher Mr. Usher (via Hive-grown alchemical vats)
  • Affiliation:
    Mr. Usher,
    Usherite Cultists,
Select PCs/NPCs granted access in roleplay
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: Whispergift Symbiont
  • Modularity: No
  • Production: Limited
  • Material: Alchemized tissue, micro-nerve tendrils, Force-conductive organic proteins

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Microscopic hive-grown parasite implanted near brainstem or spine
  • Grants limited Force capability by tapping into Mr. Usher’s enteched soul-crystal array
  • Provides telepathic two-way communication between host and Mr. Usher
  • Can be used by Mr. Usher to transmit messages, visions, or emotion-manipulating hallucinations pulses
  • Host develops unique visible mark or sigil at implant site
  • Mr. Usher can terminate the parasite at will, cutting off the Host from the Force lattice network

STRENGTHS
  • Force Access for Non-Users: Empowers baseline sentients with minor Force User Capabilities (illusions, Telekinesis, emotion sense, pain clarity, brief precognition, etc).
  • Cultist's Link: Creates a psychic link to Mr. Usher for guidance, coordination, and reinforcement.

WEAKNESSES
  • Coercive Bond: Mr. Usher can emotionally manipulate, attempt to overwhelm, or intimidate the Host remotely or sever the connection and kill the parasite remotely.
  • Tracked. Mr usher knows the location of any parasites tapping into his Force Network.
  • Vulnerable to Force Severance or Detection: Force users can detect the parasite and purge it with little effort.

DESCRIPTION
The Whispergift is the first symbiotic parasite distributed by Mr. Usher’s cult, the Choir Below. Engineered through Sith alchemy and sustained by the Eidolon Vault’s hive-core, it is microscopic, biologically sophisticated, and horrifyingly elegant. Once implanted near the spine or base of the skull, it fuses into the host’s neural web and acts as both conduit and conductor—drawing a sliver of Force energy from Mr. Usher’s entechment lattice and delivering it into the bearer.

Recipients often experience euphoric dreams, whispers of approval, and growing hunger for “instructions.” While many hosts interpret the parasite as a blessing, all are ultimately expendable. Mr. Usher can see through their eyes, speak through their thoughts, or annihilate the parasite with a psychic command. Only those who serve without question retain the gifts long-term.

Force effects are diverse but effective. A soldier may experience unflinching calm. A cultist might see lies as colored lights. An assassin may walk unnoticed. But all know: their gift is borrowed.

So, I have one very important question in regards to this before we can move on.

Is this a technological parasite, or something made of flesh? Because if it isn't technological, it's more likely a codex sub.

It is primarily flesh, though it is intended to be more like an item. I can submit as a Codex Entry for a species(?) instead if that would be more appropriate.

I believe that’s where I’m at, yes. This is a species, not a technology.

Apologies, you’re free to resubmit this in the codex.
