SPECIAL FEATURES

• Vertical strips of Maalraas leather, sewn together and joined by Terentatek trim make this piece flexible but not loose and offer strong protection.
• Shadowsilk sheathing prevents chaffing or discomfort, making long-term wearability possible, and serves to quiet her vocal sounds, such as coughing, loud excited speech, etc.

STRENGTHS:

• PGA coated Maalraas and Terentatek leather offers wide resistance to blasters and other plasma energy weapons, lightsabers, EMP/ion, and other dangers.
• Terentatek leather offer excellent protection against Force-users’ powers and abilities – primarily, in this case, against Force Crush or Force Choke.
• Shadowsilk sheathing provides sound dampening effect to voice, coughing, etc. enhancing stealth.

WEAKNESSES:

• Very Low protection against kinetic damage, offers virtually no resistance to bruising, impact-related damage, etc.

DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the gorgets worn by Jedi in the Clone Wars, the black gorget covers Joury’s neck, the tops of her shoulders, upper chest and back, and throat, helping to ensure she’ll not go the way of Jango Fett or Count Dooku, thanks to Maalraas leather. In a moment of creativity, she added the last of her Terentatek leather to make trimwork to shield her collarbone, upper spine, and entire neck from any Force-users thinking of choking her out or crushing her from afar. Fixed in place with tiny magno-clasps, it fits closely in place and doesn’t move about, while still allowing her total freedom to move her head side to side or up and down with ease and not constricting her breathing. The presence of shadowsilk offers a quieting effect, making sure that when sneaking about an excited word or poorly-timed cough won’t alert anyone to her presence.
